About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I had a good experience with Outback Equipment. They took my order and provided advice as to delivert timing as the rack wasnt in stock. Although the delivery came in 2 lots (no biggie) it arrived in a timly fashion and in tip top condition (considering the look od some freight i recieve). The store was easy to get hold of and they responded promptly to me requests for an update.”

“We received the EFS sides steps for a N80 Toyota Hilux and the communication about processng and delivery was great. However we were expecting unpainted tread plates, but arrived black (which was a happy bonus). This could be alleviated with better description or corrected pictures. The fitting instructions are garbage, what looked like a bunch of A4 pieces of papers, black and white instructions and images printed on a 2000's printer then faxed and copied again. This made it hard to determine correct bolts/ nuts for placements. I would of prefered a high res colour print out or a link to the colour PDF”

“I ordered 3 items from OE and all items arrived in tact and ahead of schedule. Prices were reasonable and quality sufficient. My only criticisism was that on an 3mtr Oztrail gazebo, the actual canvas/fabric canopy was a much lighter shade of blue that I had previously purchased and as it appeared on the website. My only concern here is if it will affect it's long term UV resistance. This I won't know for some time. Otherwise, my tent and led mini flood lights are 100% what I expected. Nicely made and seemingly durable.”

“Fantastic fan covers when orderd was told they were in the wearhouse but found out later when they didn't arrive in the post they were in fact waiting for the maxie fan covers for the motorhome to come from supplier re the usa but they finely arrived 2 and half months later, staff were helpfull when i rang to enquire where the covers are and tried to smooth thing over as they are trained to do so after all of that they arrived in good condition well parceled fitted great”

“Outback have really good prices for name brands but delivery is always slow with no tracking information. Would be five stars if they could solve this issue. I always allow two weeks for delivery.”

“Recently bought the 12v ceiling fan, very powerful little unit. unfortunately very noisy also, rattles and weering engine noise, it's ok for the day but at night a bit annoying. Moves alot of air for its size.”
