About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I would normally give a 5 as the service and delivery have been outstanding. However, on this occassion the goods were not dispatched on time and I didnt get a response from customer service until after the goods had been shipped, several dayys later. Disappointing”

“Ordered a camp chair before Christmas for my wife. She absolutely raved about how good and comfortable it was as well as the fact that it folds up and packs away compactly. As a result I ordered a second chair for myself. My second order was delayed because it had to be back ordered and the communication was not as good as it could have been. Whilst waiting the sale price was dropped. I asked and received the difference between the sale price and what I paid.”

“Bought a 50l water tank, overall it isn't to bad at all. The problem I came across is how to fill it when it is mounted under the tray of a ute. I have not been able to match the thread for the hole to adapt for a water inlet. (Looks like the inside square edged thread for polly pipe conections but an odd size).The staff were excellent when I enquired about it but unfortunatley none of the their suggestions worked.”

“I purchased a Black Jack Mini from Outback Equip., fantastic special price on the product, the order process was easy, there were many payment options and the freight was free. Great deal. It took 10 days to pick the items from their warehourse and Fast Freight delivered in 2 days. Why does it take 10 days prepare the package for delivery?”

“Great quality, great size, looks nice without all the usual over the top branding. The only issue I found was that it’s hard on my Defender and also FJ to have it sit correctly as the back loop (behind the spare) can’t be pulled down far enough so the bag itself sits quite low on the wheel. Not the end of the world.”
