About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

The equipment was good, but disappointed when I ordered it and unbeknownst to me, and not until I queried after two weeks of nothing, that it was a back order item (I his was not communicated at time of ordering). It took 3 1/2 weeks before my product arrived. Would not order from there again based on this first experience.

Delivery is too late. I even cancelled it because it took more than 3 months. The price was cheaper than other sites.

Very bad on order info. Worst we have had. Back order no notification. 3 different dispatch dates. Differing information on order status. Instock, in store, coming from supplier. Very frustrating system for customer.

I have purchased a lot of items (thousands of $$) from Outback Equip over the last year - with generally good service and quick delivery. In the last month or so this has changed. Ordered approx $1500 worth of stuff on two orders in the last month and both went AWOL. OE customer service response has been woeful. Best they could offer was its been dispatched. One order from 21st Jan with express delivery to Tas still AWOL. OE say it was dispatched - Aust Post say it was never collected ?? Still got a lot of stuff to buy for our lap - now looking at other vendors.

Hi sorry but the experience was not great. I placed an oredr and aftre waiting a week for a tracking number rang and found out you did not have the Mirrors ordered in stock and had no idea hwen they were coming. I asked for a refund and that took forever in coming back. You have some work to do.

The first item was dispatched 1 day after placing order, with Aramex. You provided minimal help tracking it after 10 days . After 18 days due solely to my efforts Aramex admitted losing it. I was told to contact Outback Equipment and send copies of their emails, this was met with more delays and excuses, I stated that if the item was resent Aramex was not to be used, again you sent it with Aramex and again they admitted it was lost. So now 34 days latter I receive an email stating my payment is being refunded. I ordered the item from a Victorian company and had it here 48 hours latter. I will never use Outback Equipment or anyone who freights with Aramex again, 2 star rating is generous and based solely on the original dispatch time. Dave Griffin

Of the tackle boxes I purchased one of the removable boxes the lid has not been made correctly and won't close making the box useless...could you look into this please?

Well to be honest i had to replace one of the compression rivets at the l/h/s antiflap bar that joints two parts together it has the 6mm thread as it was stripped of its thread. Quality control could be better. Regards Peter

Outback Equipment absolutely inundated me with emails I was not interested in and provided no info on the delivery which I’m sure was around a month later and into the new year despite the supplier saying there were heaps in stock. However, emails were replied to.

Disappointed item was marked as in stock then had to wait for O/b equipment to order it in. Would have purchased elsewhere.

Not very good. Bought late December and by Early Jan we had issues. The cooler would turn on sometimes. Now it won't turn on at all and it's late Jan. Have reached out but no response at all

Good at sending daily emails regarding their products/specials but very slow regarding returns/exchanges. Inadvertantly I ordered the wrong product, apparently. I want to exchange for the right product. They have been very slow in responding. They are telling me that I can only get a store credit and they will not refund as it was "Change of Mind" my mistake. It was not change of mind, I thought that I ordered the Premium product PPV but apparently I ordered the standard product PCV. I only want to swap over for the same product but the better quality one?

An air compressor and tyre pressure gauge were purchased as a Christmas present on 14-Dec. Price was good and the two items in stock in Brisbane. Delivery to Brisbane was advised 1-3 days with potential delays due to Christmas. An email was received 3 days after order placement, to confirm the items on their way. Enquiries were sent to both Outback Equipment and Aramex prior to Christmas to determine the whereabouts and expected timing of the delivery. Outback Equipment defaulted to the courier and Aramex didn’t respond. It took nearly 2 weeks (30-Dec) for Aramex to register the delivery in their tracking system and the items arrived more than two weeks after Christmas on 7-Jan. The items that were purchased as a gift, arrived in the original air compressor box which was tattered and worn and ultimately could not be given as a gift. Instead of packing the items in a manner to protect them, the air compressor box was opened and the tyre gauge placed inside. This resulted in me purchasing the same gift elsewhere to present on Christmas day and the two items returned to Outback Equipment for credit. The very poor delivery service was not credited. Overall, this was a disappointing experience that is not typical of past purchases from Outback Equipment.

I brought from Outback Equipment because it said about getting my trax before Christmas and I didn't. So bit disappointed really. I needed them before leaving the state and didn't get them.

Emailed 2 weeks after order to find out how my order was going, was told it had been shipped 3 days later got an email to say had just been shipped took over 3 weeks to receive order wasn't impressed
