About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Staff were friendly but sold me the wrong equipment for fitting an awning to my van. This was despte the man actually looking at the van! Not easy to change things as i live over 250klm away. Friend collected correct part, no refund for worng parts only a credit note offerred. Won't be back so ther's $75 wasted.

The window arrived OK, but without any installation instructions, When I rang for some the guy had "NO IDEA' and re-directed me to the supplier, who emailed me a set of vert comprehensive instructions.

I made a purchase on 11 August my order came missing an item and it’s now 7 October and I’m still waiting. For this 1 adapter plug for my Aquaheat which I desperately needed the most still not received, everything was pretty good. I’m disappointed and could have gone to a local store but still hoping at any day it would have arrived by now? It’s made my experience not the greatest and my patience has definitely been tested and wearing thin! I just want what I’ve paid for! Jo (WA)

Diesel tank arrived, but was not told you had to assemble the hose connection outlet yourself. No Instructions came with it. Ask for a refund and was told NO…

The item was excellent but getting it was exceedingly arduous. Beware if you order online. They use Aramax who are impossible to contact either via phone or email and the whole redelivery process was virtually impossible. Total pot luck. Most couriers leave the parcels at Australia Post if no one is home but not Aramax. I will not be ordering online with you again for that reason. Really bad courier service.

I was sent the product I ordered but it was the wrong size but in saying that I also ordered the wrong size so I am stuck with a product that I can't use and still haven't got what I want

A successful business that has outgrown itself and needs triple or more size the showroom and staff. Long wait times for being served or receiving goods. Probably fine if you're in no hurry but this is not the only store to get gear from. Once I was eventually served it was good but I won't be returning until they balance their offerings with people and space, maybe that's coming one day.

3kg $270 water pump shipped in a cardboard box with no bubble wrap at all. Broken on arrival had to wait over a week for a replacing. A waste of company money and no one wins.

Very disappointed! The item was out of stock when I ordered it but wasn’t told this until I phoned to find out what was going on. Took 3 weeks to arrive. Item itself is very good.

If Outback Equipment had actually stocked the winch I would have been able to rate it but they took the money without having stock. After 2 weeks I called to find out where it was and found out they didn’t have one and the supplier didn’t have them either…. After another 2 weeks Outback Equipment finally refunded me the purchase price.

When ordering it was not explained that my order would not be sent straight away especially when I explained it was a gift and paid for express post. One week later still no correspondence or item recieved- I did ring and was told that something was missing from the order and could not be sent in time - so I cancelled and got my money back. Not Happy Jan

The gauge failed after the second use Looks like moisture has migrated into the digital gauge, no idea how this happened as we have not been near water with gauge and it has been in the car all other times Submitted a warranty claim with outback’s had a standard generated email response that said they would get back to within 48 but as yet two weeks later I have had crickets did a follow up email, nothing plus rang them but after being on hold for 30 minutes gave up. Very poor after sales service Could not attach a picture but have sent one to outback

The delivery time was terrible and only three quarters of the order arrived. I had to hang around for a week waiting for the rest of my order.

Product purchsed was well priced and what I was after. Was in need of it relatively quickly, so I opted for express shipping. It took 20 days to arrive from the date of purchase

Spoke to someone who said that it would be fine to collect items buy a certain day heard nothing for over a week rang the day before and was told that it would be two more weeks to get items in Mabey some communication would have been a good idea not that hard to pick up a phone Needles to say order cancelled
