About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Great range of products. Multiple times I have ordered ‘In stock’ products only to find out there Is a lead time as they are sourced from the supplier. Last time I ordered, 26 days until I received my order, only after cancelling 2 items due to a longer than expected lead time due to sourcing from suppliers, but these were marked as In stock.

Ordered a boat motor cover the first one was the wrong size, went to their store and had it exchanged, and was assured it would fit this time, didn’t fit called them to advise they said they would get back to me when they could source the correct cover it has been 2 weeks and I’ve heard nothing from them, the customer service hasn’t not been great since the first experience.

Happy with products. Shipping took longer because it wasn’t in stock when website said it was. When asking about my express shipping taking 2+ weeks they did t seem to care about the fact I paid extra. Would have done standard shipping if I knew would have taken that long. Plus then to order in products to only ship them out again

HI Brad. Sorry to have left you feeling only 2 stars. We do need a handling time for some orders before they get off to the courier. Rest assured your express shipping was definitely worth it, with the order going express once it was collected by the courier. The handling time before it gets shipped is what took too long in your circumstance, and we are very sorry for that delay. Product arrived damaged (packaging wasn't). Was obviously damaged prior to packing. Arranged a return but the replacement arrived after our holiday. Return process was simplistic, just disappointing to recive damaged goods in the first delivery.

Took over two weeks for items that were “in stock” to arrive. Came part shipped so obviously they either drop ship or didn’t have stock despite the website saying they did.

I ordered an ice box on 11 December as an Xmas present with a 5-10 day shipping time and a warning that it might be a bit longer. It arrived in early March

Ordered a barbeque stand with wind guard as per your online catalouge but it arrived without the guards and I've been denied these guards even though the photo shows them and my copy of the delivery docket listed the stand as being a stand WITH guards.

Outback sent the driving lights (Kings 9in) as expected and the lights arrived in ok timelines - a bit slow. But within a week of fitting (over roof rack) the lights started taking on water almost straight away with fogged lenses - in one its actually dripping down the inside. I approached Outback and sent photo's via their online claims facility and that's where things bogged down. Been 2 weeks without responce (other than an auto reply), I've called, requested call back and emailed - no reply. I'll keep you posted but I'm starting to think these guys are not going to do anything.

Made order for Ball weight scales and ball weight adaptor, Have only received the ball weight scales, been approx 5 to 6 weeks and still no ball weight adaptor, Can I be informed when this will arrive, desperate to ensure my ball weight is compliant!

Ordering process and delivery time was ok but product was not delivered, it was held up at the freight depot due to poor packaging - insufficient tape used and a thin cardboard box. I had to drive out to the freight depot with the caravan hooked up so I could get the cartridge before we set off that same afternoon.

It took nearly 6 weeks to get my order, without any communication. I know things can be on back order, but the there needs needs communication with the customer

The old guy kept me waiting while other people walked in he would stop serving me and serve them even though there were heaps of other staff sitting just off to the side of the counter area. Took ages.

Chair took nearly two months to arrive even though it was showing in stock at the time of purchase. I had to continually chase customer service asking for updates

when the installers opened the tube containing the awning they found that one end cap was pointing 180 degrees to how the other end pointed. they managed to re-adjust the ends so they both faced the same direction but charged extra time for doing so. they felt that it had been opened previously and may have been returned because of the problem as stated. there were also a few scratches and scuff marks on the ends. Because we are in Perth, returning the item was not an option due to the shipping costs and time involved. For this reason we may have to deal locally for future purchases. I just wish the was an Outback Equipment outlet here in W.A. REGARDS Stuart.

Wanted an Oztrail beach tent in green for my niece. I purchased one and requested green. I was then told 2 days later than my order could not be altered as it had already shipped? Received a blue tent in torn packaging. Wouldn't buy from here again.

Bought two Korr LED lithium lanterns on Jan 25 2024. One lasted one month ..now being put through the continuing saga of warranty. Had it for one month when light failed..completely useles Why should I endure such a saga because your stock was a lemon!!! So as you can see ...not happy. Advising friends to be very wary as waiting on a replacement!!! The other light is great friends asking for info on where to purchase...mmmm !!! Not good service!!!!!

Item was as described. Ordered it in early December for a Christmas present, it said on website would arrive mid-December. Didn't arrive until early January. Would not purchase from here again.
