About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I placed my order on the 26/2, 9/3 was notified one of my items was out of stock. Not having received any other communication 2 weeks later I followed up and had to ask for my order to be sent without the missing item. I then received my order on the 21/3 but was missing a part. Rung again, they were very sorry but then needed to ring a week later to find out what was happening. After several conversations and emails, I then finally received notification that the last item was dispatched on the 12/4. Each time Items were sent, it took nearly a week for the items to arrive, even though I am 20 mins away from the warehouse. The items I purchased could have been sourced anywhere, but I wanted to support local. Will not purchase from Outback Equipment again - my experience was frustrating.”

“My main problem with your company is trying to get Intouch with you I drove all the way up to Acacia Ridge from the Gold Coast, to collect an awning that I was told that it was going to be grey, by the person on the phone, only to get home & realised it was the wrong colour I continuously rang to be told ‘ring back at another time, I rang over 12 times, then I was told it would be delivered to your store on the Thursday before Easter only find out the following week that you had obviously closed for a week, so I missed out on my installation. The following week I rang for 3 days before I finally got through then I had to wait another 10 days before I got the call to say it had arrived. Then I had to drive back up there again to do the exchange at my expense! So after an excessive amount of phone calls & time wasted I won’t be rushing back to purchase from your company again One month on Im still waiting to have my awning installed”

“Is the Hyundai iload tag tow bar and step set supposed to come with a towball? I didn’t receive one with mine but it mentions it in the list of contents on the instructions? Great set up and easy to install.”

“Received junk, used Wolfpack boxes covered with soil and boxes have no BOAG sign on them. Paid around $260 for four boxes. I am not expecting them to send another set of four new boxes, if they did it will be great. I won't buy again from this Outback Equipment online store.”

“I ordered 2 x Redarc 1240's and paid for them on checkout. I had to call 10 days later when I hadn't received them to be informed they were sitting in despatch and hadn't been send. They arrived the next day. Luckily I didn't require them urgently.”

“Many items on your website state “in stock” when in fact they are not. If it states in stock, I would expect to see the item within 3 days. If it’s going to take 2 weeks, you should state that when we add to the basket. Definitely not happy with your delivery times, way too long!”
