Excellent quality of building. Helpful, professional and approachable staff. Customer Services really helpful. Any snagging issues dealt with quickly. The house is well insulated with solar panels built into the roof. I would recommend Persimmon Homes.

Persimmon homes are amazing, they made the process of buying my property very easy, always there to help and most especially after have moved into my property, they have offered a helping hand even before you ask. My property is at the Wickets Sittingbourne road Maidstone. And building is beautiful, it's a home not a house. I will recommend Persimmon homes for you.

We paid a reservation for one of the properties. Firstly the solicitors PH recommended discussed quotes with me over the phone. They then promised to beat the quotes I had had from other conveyancers. They promised me there would be no extra fees or hidden charges. Within 12hours of instructing their own recommended solicitors they called my partner and said there would be two extra fees for 'drawing up contracts' and costs that they could not put on the quote. They couldn't tell us how much they would cost but said they would be put onto our final bill?! I immediately told them we were not interested in using them and I wanted a refund for the money I have paid less than 12 hours ago after being told there would be no extra costs. We are still waiting for our refund for this deposit as we were completely mis-sold to. Luckily, also before exchanging we went into the garden and had an independent quote on how much it would cost to have the absolute landslide mess that they had left behind. We were quoted £21,000 just to fix the garden to make it something that wasn't an eyesore. Along with other quotes within the house amounting to over £5,000 just so we could move in. So we have decided to pull out. Keep looking elsewhere.

I bought plot 52 at the Sandpiper development (36 Baird Way, Minster-on-sea, Sheerness) in November 2017. In just about two weeks of experiencing moving into a new house a sections in the right hand side of the fencing line pulled apart owing to strong wind in that period. I raised my complaint, and the damage was repaired. A couple of months later there came another windy weather and a similar problem occurred. This time around, one of the arrays rail fencing panels installed as back fence pulled out from the 4 by 4 inches post it was attached to, leaving the property garden exposed and unprotected for some days before restoration work was done, after complaining to the site manager about the ugly scene on my property owing to the state of the detached fence panel in the rear fence line. But about a month ago, same fence panel in the the fence line, which in the past someone came in to repair by lifting the dangling panel upright and hammered some nail through and into the 4by4 wooden post from which it came off, has now pulled out again. Persimmon customer service, however, on getting an email with attached photos from me reporting yet another damage the same section my garden fence which they feel they have properly amended, is now refusing to carry out any repair work on the fence on the ground that the fence now has some painting on. Persimmon is now claiming that the fact that I have applied some paint, which I did in October 2018 on the ground of decoration the garden for the birthday celebration of my one year old twins, may have contributed to the pulling apart of the fence structure, and therefore nullify the two years warranty, covering non fault damage on all installation on the property. If a fence panel coming in contact with paint is now an issue, what about the numerous rather nature has bestowed on it? It is absolutely ridiculous of persimmon to hold on to such an unfounded claim regarding painting in order to disown their responsibility to hard pressed individuals, who should be valued, buying new build property

I won’t use these guys if I had to buy again. They pretend to be helping you then when they make a mistake they all suddenly disappear and you’re left to deal with it. The manager Ollis alongside Tony and June are so stuck up and totally unreliable. I reported and incident to the manager and he just brushed it off like it was nothing. Honestly, I wish I never used them in the first place.

Moving into a persimmon home We purchased a 4 bed house in June. By and large, the property is very nice, but the finishing touches are so sloppy that it has well and truly taken the gloss off our move. Trying to sort things out has been almost an impossible task and they are clearly not equipped to deal with the issues effectively and efficiently. Unfortunately, I was too easily convinced by the sales pitch and did not push hard enough about getting things sorted about the house. I was constantly reassured that everything would be completed by the time of our move and that the final house run through would be done before the day we moved in. As it was, our walk through of the house was not done until the day of our move and at that point, we had very little option in getting the issues sorted. My main advice for all people looking to buy a persimmon house is the following: YOU MUST make sure that they do that final run through at least a week before you move. Then, if it is not up to scratch or clean ( ours definitely did not have their special clean), do not proceed any further until they fixed the problems. If at the next run through, they still haven’t sorted things out, do not budge. Once you do, they have got you were they want you and it will be a battle to get things sorted. We have now been in the house for 6 months and virtually nothing has been done.

If I could give 0 stars then I would. Their properties are inferior and their aim is profit, which is all they care about. The customer is of no importance, just to serve their pockets. If you have a problem then you are on your own as they just don’t care. BEWARE do not buy a Persimmon home!!

This review is based upon our recent experience with Persimmon SW. We engaged with Persimmon SW regarding a local development. The sales agent was friendly and helpful. Following a couple of viewings of the show home, we decided to proceed with their part-exchange scheme. The paperwork was a rapidly deployed and not every aspect was clearly explained. We were then presented with a £500 reservation fee. Following payment by card, it was mentioned that we needed to provide gas and electricity certificates and engage a solicitor for conveyancing. Obtaining a gas and electricity certificate was a cost of around £200 to us. Which we paid. Engaging the solicitor attracted an immediate cost of £180 for search fees. Following the electricity safety report (which was not perfect) we were told by the sales agent that we would need our card ready again as head office will be asking for £500 for a home-buyer survey on our existing property. Read section 8 of the part exchange agreement - it states that the buyer bears the cost of any survey Persimmon deem necessary and the buyer is liable to remediate findings on their property where it affects the resale value. Our current house is not a show home - it’s an older property - sort of why we wanted to part ex! The reality of this dawned upon us that Persimmon could ask for numerous surveys at cost to us, only to either back out or demand that we fix before completion. It was at this point that the part exchange felt to be loaded heavily in Persimmon's favour, especially when the new property was already overpriced and tied into property management fees, single broadband supplier and other 'costs.' We informed the local agent that we wanted to back out of the process and instructed our solicitors to stop. The fees were not explained up-front and fully before signing, the burden of surveys and possible outcome was not clearly articulated to us. Over ten days later we are still waiting for our refund of the booking fee which it is stated we are entitled to. The regional sales manager, Pauline keeps stating that numerous directors have to sign off on it - remember the booking fee ? A mere £500. We have sunk nearly £1000 for nothing. Do you research, check out review sites like this, Facebook etc there are other who had a dream and were left with a nightmare.

Persimmon homes weldon park. Nothing but issues. Slow to resolve problems, prefer to argue than solve them. For instance after only seven months the boiler has broken on a Sunday called the emergency number after 90 minutes received a call back that the plumbers contracted to persimmon are not answering the phone, so now without heat and hot water until at least Monday. This is just the last in a long line of issues, a formal complaint has been raised with the directors will see what happens. My personal opinion do not buy from persimmon.

I would honestly give no stars if possible. If anyone is reading this and thinking about buying a persimmon home PLEASE DO NOT!!! It will be the worst mistake of your life. The whole company have been an utter disaster, we moved in over 2 years ago and are still waiting on work to be done, which my husband has just been told that won't be getting done because we are now out of warranty, even though we reported these issues when we moved in. My husband sent a very strongly worded email and received one back, saying you are lucky I am not someone who takes things to heart else no work would be getting done (very professional). Everything about this company is an utter disgrace. We have used out life savings thinking this will be our forever family home, but it has been nothing but a disaster, and caused nothing but stress and mental health issues for my whole family. STAY AWAY!!

!!!Avoid like the plague!!! Same as any other company that builds new estates. Bodged jobs, poor shoddy workmanship, unfinished estates. Full of excuses, poor designs, to many houses not enough space for vehicles. If the property your buying has the company HLM linked to it don’t touch it with a barge pole, you end up paying extortionate yearly site fees for absolutely nothing then you’ll struggle to sell because of HLM. Disgrace of a company both persimmon and HLM yet they manage to get away with it. If there’s flats on the estate your buying on make sure your house is no where near because yet another rogue company makes the car park permit holders only leaving people without them to park on the estate outside peoples house and anywhere they can. Do NOT buy from this company.

Please think extremely carefully before buying! Look at all the negative reviews and watchdog complaints etc. Can all those people be wrong? Personally, I have had terrible experiences with persimmon with problems so numerous I couldn't list them all here. What I will tell you is that many houses on our development are needing claims through the NHBC to have all the repointing done again. Reason for this? It is crumbling and falling out and the houses are only 6 years old! I am not a builder but can tell just by looking at all the houses on here that far too much sand was used in the mix, it is meant to be 1 part cement, 3 sand but I. Here it must be around 5 or 6 parts sand used. What happens to castles made of sand? And tricks like this just to save a few pounds. Put simply they absolutely do not care as long as they get your money. You have been warned! Please think extremely carefully before buying!
