Booked car in for service with it being collected from my home. Eventually collected at 12:15. When it was delivered back 45 mins late the guy handed me my key in the street without confirming who I was so anybody could've been away with my car. Also never explained what had been done or advised that the service book had been stamped. Tried emailing a complaint but all I got was an automated reply advising they would contact within 2 days. Needless to say that never happened. Won't be going back.

We were passed around 3 different salesmen and when we turned up for a prearranged test drive a car was not available. Even when we went to collect our car arrangements were changed. No handbook was in the car and no fluid in the screen washers.

The Pickup time for car was changed 1/2 hour before scheduled pick up agreement and was now inconvenient .When did pick up car had to wait for car to be Taxed before we could leave and when drove car home seats were still wet and therefore wet our clothes through to underwear. Not nice ! And actually car still dirty in areas when fully inspected in daylight . Staff pleasant and helpful but standard basic expectations not delivered. Disappointing.

Following an initial phone all on a Friday evening at 1630 to see if the car was available I received a further x3 calls in less than 24hrs from the garage asking if I was coming to view the car in question. Took the time to travel to the dealership, looked at the car on the forecourt, asked to see the sales person with a view to getting a better look at the car only to be told I'd need to book an appointment. Never heard of such rubbish. All my dealings with Bmw dealerships I've never seen experienced anything like this. Very poor service so I'd shudder to think what happens with regards to after service.

My view of Peter Vardy as a reputable car dealer was undermined, as the quality and standard of information received when baying a car is insufficient and frankly misleading. When signing paperwork we were convinced by 2 members of the staff along with the manager, that the agreement signed is on a 3.9% APR and annual interest paid per annum will also be 3.9%. When we came in to sign the paperwork, we again questioned the value and again we received a confirmation that interest paid will amount to 3.9%, the manager who got brought into the conversation again confirmed this, but stated he could not explain what the APR in fact is and that no one know it. We reluctantly signed the agreement, as we did not want to pull of the buy - but following check of the paperwork, the annual interest rate turned out to be 9.6%. The information received was misleading. We since withdrawn from the agreement, accruing a £90 admin fee for the paperwork preparation plus a daily interest. That amounted to a cost of more than £100 we would not need accruing if the information provided at the day of the sale was correct, as we informed the seller we had cash and did not need financing in the first place, then decided to go ahead as the interest rate seemed to be low and we wanted to use the savings in other way. Later we discovered the car we bought is lacking basic information shown on a computer - it only shows tyre pressure, When we asked a member of the staff about it, we received a confirmation that nothing can be done which is incorrect, as the car only needs to have other options unlocked and it seems to be a simple task that to other garages we asked for information would have any issue with. At the time of a buy we also asked for a quotation of additional fittings, like cruise control. That was only provided after our second personal visit to the store…. Overall, at the day of the buy, staff seems to be interest in making a deal, prior to signing in the paperwork, we received number of phone calls, to clarify whether we are still going ahead with the purchase and others. Post sale - it seems you no longer care to keep your customers happy and informed, questions asked - remain unanswered unless prompt, and we felt we were an inconvenience. kind regards,

Hi Emil, I'm sorry to hear of the issues you have had with our Aberdeen branch. We will b in touch soon to discuss. Thanks

Well that is the first and last time i purchase a car from Peter Vardy Aberdeen. vauxhall insignia Purchased 21/12/2013 and within weeks had to spend £600 + on tyres and brakes . Tyres that were unevenly worn to the point that would have been unmissable on the so called pre-sale checks. Checked tyres and found to be down to 1mm at various points . So not only worn but highly likely illegal at point of sale. Brake discs and pads also so badly worn that again highly likely illegal at point of sale . I made my disappointment known on Peter Vardys social media site ( as any customer care / complaints dept impossible to locate ) to be called back by the branch manager promising to investigate and that is where the communication ended. Onto my next visit to Peter Vardy Aberdeen to investigate coolant loss , only to be accused of " not replacing cap correctly leading to the coolant loss". Fault reoccurred within days , back to Peter Vardy to then diagnose cracked tank. Managed to get money refunded after the 2nd wasted trip. Finally the latest disappointment . Car in for end of warranty check last week and while in Peter Vardy Aberdeen's possession fault developed with parking sensors . Not believing in coincidences of that level decided to give the dealership the benefit and booked the car in for first thing this morning . On arrival at 08:00 as agreed told that car would have to be left all day and I would have to sign waiver to agree to underwrite fee of £118 . Even in the unlikely event of the repair not being covered by the warrant a fee of £118 for a repair that if not covered would be diagnosed and corrected in minutes . Well that was the last time Peter Vardy Aberdeen will be receiving my business. Good sales staff , good handover which was very personal as the car was a gift for my wife however the impression we have had is that once the car was handed over any issues and we were on our own.

Having purchased 4 new cars in the past year I really should have learned my lesson guess I must be a glutton for punishment , don't get me wrong the showroom and sales staff eddie (the eagle) Edwards , Andy and James were great but the after sales well that's a different story we bought an adam slam with all the toys for my wife a corsa ltd edition for son then traded the adam for a mokka exclusive and now a zafira elite (motobility) , problems where do I start corsa faulty seat waited 6 weeks for repair? Ordered extras for mokka 6 months still not received wanted different wheels when ordered (part of deal before ordering)for zafira didn't come asked for car mats for same was told would be charged £31 eddie did say don't be daft we are good customers and would get them free but we're waiting stock two weeks later after 10 calls (not one returned)was told sales manager would not authorise free mats ???? Once they have your money the service goes full of false promises. I previously bought bmw, s as the sales staff are excellent the after care as good and on my experiences of peter vardy will be returning to them in the future

i picked up my new car a Vauxhall Antara and the door trim was damaged also the fog light i had pointed out as needing replaced when i viewed the car hadn't been changed. I was told i would get a phone call the following Wednesday to arrange getting the trim replaced and to see if the fog light would dry out which i knew it wouldn't i waited until the following Friday still no call . i phoned in as i had then discovered the heater wasn't working i had to take the car back on the Monday to get it fixed i discovered the service book was blank. i don't think the car was PDI'd before i received it the book has now been stamped as being PDI'd in Aberdeen when the car came from Kirkaldy so I'm a little unsure about this. i feel i had to call for an update and communication could have been better on your part to keep me updated. i got the car delivered back to me on the Tuesday which was fine as i was away on business for the week i then discovered a chip on the osr door that had been touched up which i hadn't seen before it went in to you and I had a good look over the car when i viewed it and picked it up initially so I'm confident this chip wasn't there . The car has now developed a noise so will have to go back in again. i have now received the log book and i knew it was pre registered when i bought it but assumed Peter Vardy would be down as the first owner but it has had 2 previous owners one a woman from Preston i am down as the 3rd owner on a car that had 145 miles on it when i bought it so i am a bit annoyed at that. i chose Peter Vardy to buy a car as i don't like dealing or trust Arnold Clark but i haven't been overly impressed with Peter Vardy either.

Sales person name Andy was very nice, but absolutely unprofessional. He seemed to be confused and was unorganized. Three cars he offered to show us at first, were already sold. And he did not even noticed that, we did. He could not provide much any information, was going around yard like it was unfamiliar environment. at the end of the day I have found the car myself, when we did go for test drive car stopped in the middle of the road as it was not fulled. Then we returned to office via back grass pathway, while our sales person was smoking cigarette. Not that he not offered us, please do not get me wrong.. When we decided to buy a car, he could not clearly explain charges on agreement. He was really incoherent and I would not recommend him to assist to people coming to buy expensive cars. After all, we just spent 10k and working in logistic environment we are used to dealing with utter incompetency. I would not think that everybody is like us.

After paying my initial deposit I never heard from anyone for months until the day I was to collect my car when I got a phonecall at Lunchtime to say my car was not here. I went up later that week to fill in paper work. When I got there I was told they could not fill it in as the car did not have a reg number yet. Went up the next week to collect it and couldn't because vauxhaul had recalled the Adams. Waited an hour to be told that. Then went up at the weekend to get my car. Service was good on that day however my car did not have black alloys as I was told it would or chrome detail around the windows which I was told it would. Overall I am very disappointed in the service and the lack of communication with customers. If I hadn't wanted the car so much I would of gone elsewhere.

After purchasing an Astra I had so many issue I had to get a replacement. I didn't have many to choose from as I didn't want to spend any more money. I did however have to part with another £800 on top of the £7700 already spent. I got another car but feel I didn't really choose it I was left with no option but to accept this or keep a faulty car.

I have a bad feeling about the purchase just made. I was under a bit of pressure because my car was due an MOT within a week and I had decided to change it. Because of my circumstances I needed a similar car to the one I was trading in (Mazda 5) and thought the Vaxhall Zafira fitted the bill which I think it does. However at one stage there were three salesmen in attendance , the salesman, his manager and a trainee. Eventually I agreed a deal with finance and was told I was given a good deal. At this stage I had only seen images of the car that had to be brought from another branch. When I went in to pick up the car it was in good condition etc and signed up for the deal. after this I noticed that there was o % interest deals on and I asked for details of this but was told it was only on cars £8K and under mine was £8999, again I was told I was getting a good deal and it was too late to change. I think I could have been given more information whilst discussing potential finance options for the car, its obviously not in Peter Vardy's interest to do this but it is important for the customer and I thought your organisation was a customer centred organisation so I feel very disappointed in the deal obtained. I've waited a while to submit this report but I have just returned from the salesroom having had my third visit in attempt to have alloy wheels dressed, for one reason or another its still not done and I now have to arrange a further visit. I also have no second key for the car or service record , I was due to pick these up today but they were not available. Your salesman seems attentive and willing to help but seems to be hampered by processes or lack of commitment from other parts of the organisation. The upshot is I've had three abortive visits to your premises and am no further forward, I feel as if I've paid too much in finance, when if deals had been explained I may have gone for a different car so I'm stuck with a five year deal that I now consider expensive and I do not have a good feeling of the future success of after sales service from Peter Vardy.

I was disappointed my brand new car had damage. I opted for midnight pickup and it was raining. The next day I had a good check over and found the alloy damaged and some minor scratches on either door. On calling the dealership the next day I took it along 12 hrs later and was offered repairs but had to leave the car. I have just picked it up and unfortunately the scratch on the drivers door would require a respray at my cost. The alloy was fixed with the sales person insistence but the adjuster was not happy that I had not damaged it myself. On the whole so sad I have a brand new damaged car. I had an unfortunate experience last year with a cancelled sale from the company's side and gave them another chance. ..

The uplift of my car took approx 2 hours - no petrol in car, not cleaned properly had to be redone (letter R written on rear lights), no spare tyre which was ordered and paid for (manager advised it was unusual for a spare tyre to be ordered) and a comedy by 4 staff trying to instal the jack etc in the allocated space.

After purchasing a new car from you just over a year a go , thought we would come back to upgrade to a larger car but a used car ! Deal went fine and arranged to collect car ! Were a couple of issues with car but salesman agreed to fix as part of deal ! When on collecting car issues we agreed on had not been done and car was in poor condition and not acceptable !! Five of you're staff inspected the car and said would take it back in and fix issues raised ! After four days and a courtesy car collected car again ! Was better but poorly finished inside and out ! And told if any further problems to take it back so it might be looked at buy warrantie ?? Like car but poor service and no comuncation between staff !! Other cars were covered and then unveiled to customers, but our car wasn't even covered, and had been sitting outside ! other customers cars were same age but looked better finished and prepared !!
