PETER VARDY KIRKCALDY A DISGRACE!!!!! Brand new car faulty after 2 days- 52 miles - serious power steering issues and electrics cutting out. Continual breakdowns and lengthy stays in the workshop to be told nothing wrong with it! Fought with them for 8 weeks but they reassured me it was safe to use... Power steering yet again failed at major junction!! Brand new car again in the workshop to be told they don't know what's wrong!! Begged for repairs from start then begged for replacement to be told NOT OUR PROBLEM. Got to love Peter Vardys professional attitude. Needless to say legal advice now being taken. Please folks think carefully about buying from Peter Vardy as they really don't care once the sale is done and I've spent many hours sitting on the garage to hear way too many others with similar complaints.

Peter Vardy Vauxhall Edinburgh Branch:- had an awful experience at this dealership, I drive a Vauxhall Amperage and they are my nearest dealership (approx 90 miles away) I had phoned ahead and ordered the parts I needed for my wing mirror. When I arrived the electric car charging bays were being used by non electric cars, I then dropped of my keys at the service desk and took a lift into town. When I arrived back the car hadn't been touched as they said they hadn't ordered the parts, they also didn't charge it or do anything to it. 4 months later I'm still waiting for my phone call to tell me the parts are in. Shocking service please avoid.

Iam RE Writing My Review, AS Since Being Happy Satisfied customer having 100% service from Sales Team iam Left with a Car That is Not Performing as Vauxhall Insignia instead like a Tractor Hearing Road Noise loud Engine Noise Loosing Power, So Called SERVICE DEPT HAD PUT A CAR OUT THAT HAD AN OUTSTANDING RECALL, Concerning ESC, Only found that out from Evans Hallshaw head office of Vauxhall! Also had to go back in with Draining battery Faults, Which back in their Workshop to have New Battery Fitted, Then when it does come out get More Problems from Braking System, Electronic Handbrake Now not Holding the car, aswell as I'm Quite sure the wheels Tyres not not belong to the car either Well Worn Tyres tht must hav done 30k, from older Car! the latest Ah they do not want to know about these Issues so Informed Trading Standards Finance Company Also More Importantly VAUXHALL.. my Advice to Anyone is to stay well away! Pity it just takes a One or 2 Rotten Low lifes in a Workshop to give a Company a bad Name. Certainely not the Car dealers more like Stealers! Just to Keep the General Public Up to date My Wheels Have Been Stolen taken off the Car while So Called Trustworthy Workshop had it, Yes We Now Have Verification They Taken Off put Astra Sri Wheels on my Insignia!! Police have Now been Informed RE This Shady lot of Low Lifes! Fiona Baird:)

Terrible service from start to finish - as soon as they had my cash, any caring for the customer was out the window. Problems arranging the finance paperwork, frequent calls not returned, paperwork issues when I did go in to sign, then on day of pickup further issues with paperwork resulting in 90 minute delay, brand new car had scratches on it, had to be brought back in for repair work. All the time the salesperson rather indifferent about it all. Told we would get a £50 compensation cheque for the inconvenience; that was 7 weeks ago, chased it twice but last week call not returned and email ignored. Now realised we have a problem with a rear window; genuinely dreading having to deal with Peter Vardy again. Never had such terrible service with anything in my life; that its with as expensive a purchase as a car is really poor. Summed up by the follow-up review I was sent to complete - had 2 spelling errors in my name, and the wrong branch listed. I will never, ever use Peter Vardy again, and our experience also reflects poorly on Vauxhall. My sister-in-law was also interested in the same car we bought; as a direct result of our experience, she bought with Evans Halshaw instead even though it was slightly more expensive.

I purchased a 1.8 petrol Vauxhall insignia exclusive with 12k miles on the clock from Peter Vardy in Aberdeen, ....... this is the point where i realised that this was a huge mistake. Upon collection i noticed that the vehicle had overspray covering the whole body of the car, after speaking to the very happy and helpful salesman he apologised and assured me that if i booked it in he would make sure my car would get a full valet but could i possibly make it a Wednesday as he didn't work on a Tuesday!? While waiting 9 days for the next available Wednesday to come around i discovered that i had a problem with my INLET VALVE SENSOR at 15k miles. I reported this to my happy salesman and again he assured me that if i bring the car in early enough on the Wednesday he would make sure that my fault would be fixed along with my full valet on the same day....Fabulous!! Wednesday arrives...... It's 8am when i open the showroom doors to see my happy salesman at Peter Vardy in Aberdeen giving me a welcome smile, shaking my hand, i give him my car keys and leave with a "leave it all to me" ringing in my ears. It's 3.30pm when i decide to call Peter Vardy to see how my car is coming along, the phone rings and rings a rings but no answer, after trying to contact them on several occasions to no avail i decided to make my way to the showroom to save myself some time. After checking myself in at 4pm i'm told to take a seat and someone will come and see me soon, i'm offered tea or coffee which i politely refuse but in hindsight it might have helped pass the 50 minutes i was left sitting there for. My happy salesman appears from under a stone somewhere and informs me that my car has had it's full valet but it might require another one as they didn't get much time on it and it was worse than they first thought but it was much better than it was before, also that the technicians had told him that my inlet valve sensor was faulty. Wait.....wasn't it me that told them that!. 8 days later my car is finally getting fixed. It's 8am, iv'e checked in,handed my car keys over and leave with a "we will phone you when it's ready" ringing in my ears from the telephonist as my happy salesman doesn't work there any longer.... It's 3pm, it's a sensor for crying out loud, i'm going in.......it's 4:40pm and i'm still sitting there, full of coffee, rattling and with eyes like saucers watching people rushing around with pieces of paper looking important and trying to look busy. It's 5:10pm when i'm approached by the service telephonist who informs me that they have replaced the sensor but there is still the sound of water running behind my dashboard but not to worry as the technicians have BLED MY RADIATOR THREE TIMES to find the fault and it should clear up! It didn't!! 27k miles down the road my GEAR BOX PACKED IN and with no courtesy car available for me on the day i guess i'm left to hitch hike home or spend my own money on a taxi. The present day.....54k on the clock, it's Monday morning, i'm LOSING WATER, surprisingly my call to Peter Vardy in Aberdeen gets answered, next available slot would be the following Monday, Monday arrives, car is in and i leave with the all too familiar "we will call you" It's 4pm when i arrive at the showroom without an invite, again i'm told to take a seat and ...blah blah blah, whatever! it's 4:50pm and i'm told that my CYLINDER HEAD GASKET has gone and it could take up to 4/5 days before they could fix it but they would recommend that i don't drive it and leave it with them instead....when did they realise this? couldn't someone have picked up the phone earlier in the day and told me this??....Ok so surely a courtesy car now, yes? erm...no! they don't have one until the 5th of may and the man who authorises anything else is in Livingstone but she will do her best to get a hold of him. Eureeka!!!! i'm getting a courtesy car at 10am the following morning. It's 9:55 the following morning and Europacar turn up at my door with my courtesy car but before they can give it to me they require me to pay them a £70 deposit. It's 9:57 when i close my door again. In brief and to cut a long story short, think twice before you purchase a vauxhall insignia 1.8 petrol and get your head examined if you choose to buy it from Peter Vardy, Lang Stract, Aberdeen.

Bought a car from Peter vardy less than 3 years old and still with warranty. Basically Engine packed in and they found a loop hole in the terms and conditions that they have said its made it invalid. After sales customer care is totally appalling. They do not seem to have good customer care skills and not interested after you buy a car from them.

I really wouldn't know where to start! The service was terrible from start to finish. No communication from any of your team and when we rang them we were told lie after lie. The finance was a mess and when we finally went to collect our car 15 days late the person who arranged to meet us couldn't even be bothered to be there. I certainly wouldn't recommend Peter Vardy to anyone. We bought our last car from you but certainly won't be back again.

Customer service at Peter Vardy Aberdeen is beyond awful. Bought a brand new Mokka nearly 2 years ago. At its service we noticed that alloy wheels were rusting so arranged to get them renewed. On fitting them Peter Vardy fitted the wrong alloy wheels, when this was pointed out they said that they would replace in a few weeks with the correct alloy wheels. Why they didnt realise that they had fitted the wrong ones was beyond me at the time. It is now over 7 months since I was promised that they would fix the problem and we still have the wrong ones on the car. We try contacting Peter Vardy but cant get answers and seem to be being ignored. Dont buy a car at Peter Vardy Aberdeen

Once again I feel badly let down, I took my 6 month old XF Sportbrake in to get the door lock cover which kept falling off replaced / secured and at the same time I decided to pay £39.99 for a spring check although my car did not require it as still nearly new. After waiting 2 1/2hrs (which I was told would be 1 hr) I got my car back and drove the 20miles home to find out the cover had fallen off AGAIN. I contacted Vardy and was told they would order a new one and it would be painted and ready for fitting in 3 days. I received a text on Tuesday from Donna at Vardy stating the cover was there, painted and ready for fitting. I again phoned to try and arrange fitting and when i asked if it could be done at home i was told it could only be done in the workshop, this is only a small plastic cover after all, the management then said the part was NOT ready although my text clearly states it was ready, I was then told that they would contact me next day. STILL WAITING. Prior to this when buying the car i was given one for a 2 day test drive, that was fine until i collected mine 2 months later with very different spec which was not explained to me at the time and the towbar which i ordered and paid for was not fitted which meant another 40 mile round trip 2 weeks later to get this fitted.

Very disappointed with one person in particular Elliot bailey. Enquired about a car on the Monday that I was very interested in buying. And was told by Elliot that he'd sent some some pictures of the car, no pictures were sent then every time I rang to speak with Elliot was told he's not about I'll have him call you, guess what no call back. Now it's Friday, and I rang 4 times being told someone would call back. Absolutely nothing. And now by the looks of the web site the car has been sold. If they would have just been honest with me instead of stringing me along and wasting my time I could have found something else in that week. Never again will I deal with.
