I am going to be terribly honest in this review, and it’s in no way a reflection of the personality of the sales agent (most pleasant I have met at the dealership) a wonderful person, he is the reason I decided to buy on the day I did. I am really stoked about my new car, however I felt I could have gotten more from Peter Vardy both in pricing, options and especially advise (being new to the UK and all). I felt that they took advantage of my desire to get a car that they just shoved the most basic option into my hands telling me that the option I wanted was out of reach (price wise) and would not be available till later in the year (fair enough but however I could see the cars there and people were test driving it). I was told its only for display (sigh, well to be honest I am used to this type of treatment by now, just didn't expect it from Peter Vardy). Its a few days after getting the car, and it drives brilliantly (although this is due to good manufacturing and not retailing, anyways). I already referred so many people to them and one of them got a quote for my type of car and got it for a lot CHEAPER than I got mine and considering the options the fellow would be having, and the clincher is, they didn't even have to bargain, those were asking quotes.. (maybe nationality helps or age of driving etc.) eitherways I felt good for the fellow I referred but terrible for myself because I felt that I was short-changed. One of the biggest issues for me was that I repeatedly requested for my 7 day complimentary manufacturer drive-away insurance and didn't get one, till the day of pick up... I requested again on the day of pick-up and I was given the number of the manufacturers to contact them directly and drive away the car uninsured as long as I take it home straight and call the insurer... (luckily for me I already made arrangement for a car insurance seeing that Peter Vardy hadn't responded to my requests before then). That was the only way I could drive the car! Again it could be just me and they might be fine with everyone else When I checked for the value of my car with the new plates I found out that the car was valued £14K lower than the price I paid for it... I expected the usual 10% value loss but £14K!!! that was just a BIG blow to me and its less than 14 days since I picked up the car...Again maybe this is an isolated event and not in anyway the character of Peter Vardy... well you learn and you grow everyday. Also, I am supposed to have been called I think 48hrs after my pick-up to see how the car rides well its been 7days now… to be fair I have been bombarding them with my emails since I didn’t get a call so I am pretty much ok. This is supposed to be a new car, my first brand new car but didn’t get that feel… Again maybe just me hahaha :) Anyway I have learnt my lesson, next time I won’t be so gullible that's for sure! Would check and re-check and re0check before making any comittments.

The overall experience was okay but the handover of the new car was a let down for the following reasons. 1.Told to come and enjoy the handover process and get some free food none left by my 6pm handover. 2.I was told as part of the poor service I received for my previous vehicle I would receive some wine as part of the £50 the sales agent has for poor service and all I got was 1 bottle of wine. Other people were getting flowers for there wife etc. 3.The handover process was bad due to the amount of time it took and the constant going and checking what to do next. 4. I even had to take the star sticker with my name on it off the car window as the salesman was away to see someone else by then. 5. This is my second new car from you and it will be the last as when you get a new car it should be a bit special as the whole process should be a once in a lifetime experience.

Actual salesman good (Kevin) if not a tad overwhelmed and nervous but he did explain why. Manager came over and also assisted and was VERY knowledgeable and personable (And a pleasure talking to to be honest - wasnt just intrested in the "sale" which was great change from the norm)... Only real detraction from this score was the actual Valeting of my car (Bearing in mind it was brand new with 48miles on clock).. Inside had not been valeted at all - dirty marks on both front mats (Boot marks) - empty Lions Bar wrapper under front seat and inside of car in general had not been cleaned ..Ive seen better efforts at my local carwash to be honest which as said was very dissapointing ......

Our sales experience was good, but on the day of the handover I received a call an hour before I was due to be there saying my car wouldn't be ready (didn't have the V5 so couldn't tax it?!) I asked for it to be sorted ASAP and I got a call an hour later saying it was ready! Confused as to what happened. Then when I went to pick it up the actual handover took almost 2 hours (ridiculous). My car mats were missing and took 20 minutes for the guy to locate, then I found scratches on the door handles of my brand new car! I now need to arrange for it to go in to the body shop. Not the best experience I've had.

You're lucky I haven't gone for the poor rating, as the offer I found online was an error and couldn't be given to me. I was very frustrated and disappointed about that. From my visit, I've rated Peter Vardy normal as at first I struggled to get someone to help me. One salesman even asked me to come back another time as he had to go and see a client. Luckily I insisted that he get someone else to deal with me as I wanted to buy a car and was ready to do a deal. Thankfully Gavin Woo came to assist and he was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the car purchase. I was very happy to do business with Gavin.

Whilst I am pleased with the vehicle I purchased I am somewhat disappointed by the attention to detail when completing the paperwork.

Generally good service in getting a deal done over the phone and delivering the car to the ferry terminal. Unfortunately the car was not as described. Apparently an administrative error.

I bought a used car on 8th July. I collected it 2 days later having been told to my make sure I brought the 2nd set of keys for my existing car which the dealer had bought. However when I collected my new car the 2nd set of keys were not available. I was told they would have a look for them and ring me when they found them. On 15th July I still had not heard from them so rang. The salesman was busy with a client so they took a message and said he would ring back when he was free. On 17th I still had not been contacted so rang again. This time I was able to speak to the salesman who sold me the car and he told me they were unable to find the key so would have to order one in which would take a few days. I told him I was going away in 4days and would like to have it before I left which he said was unlikely. I then said if that was the case would he phone me on my mobile phone, the number being in the forms he filled in when I bought the car but he took it down again anyway. Or he could leave a message on my home phone which he also had the number for. I returned from holiday the evening of 5th August having heard nothing from him at all, and no message. So I rang the next morning to speak to the manager. Both he and the salesman were busy and I was told a message would be given to the manager that I am very unhappy. It is the evening of 6th August and I heard nothing today. To say that I am very unhappy is an understatement!! I think I have been extremely tolerant. There were a couple of things I thought were not very good when I was going through the process of buying the car but I thought they were quite petty. This has changed since the problem with the keys. Don't think I would buy another car from Peter Vardy.

Picked my car corsa sting everything sorted in a matter of minutes. Three weeks later delivery week phoned to see when I was getting my car. Delayed by three weeks. Thanks for letting me now in plenty of time ! Would have been nice to be told I was going to have to walk the 18 miles to work for three weeks. So spoke to sales man who was very helpful sorted out getting a corsa excite. Slightly more expensive but I get the car when I need it great. Collection day for the new car. I get a lift in from my auntie as I have not got a car. Was meant to be there between 5 and 6 got there 1640. Sat down had a seat to wait until Andy was free. Seen Andy about 40 mins later he said he was just finishing up with a customer but wouldn't be long and that there wasn't much to do just a few signatures and I would be on my way. Half past six Andy comes up to me and says we have been having some problems your car has only just got here but it was being unloaded now and would be about an other hour. Ten past seven I'm still waiting. Twenty to eight I finally get my car with a thanks for waiting. Whare was I meant to go! More insultingly Andy said to me to come over and do the paper work walks up to the car mats looks at them and just tells me I will need to get mats. Yes you did your best for me but too keep me waiting almost three and a half hours was terrible. Everyone else walking out to there new cars with there bottle of wine and I get a three hour wait and nothing. Up to the end the service was really good but collection day was terrible.

The initial sale service was ok however after the sale was completed I had to keep calling to ask on the progress of the finance. I did not get a call when my finance was declined. Only when I called to find out what was happening was I then offered an alternative option. The day I went to collect my car there were no mats in the car despite waiting 3 days to collect it. I was told that the shop was closed so they would call me to arrange a delivery of them! Again I had to call a few days later to ask after the mats. On the day if the sale there promotions being offered Of £120 worth of holiday vouchers not sure what happened with that? Did it change when I had to go with 3rd party for my finance?

Neither the best nor the worst but expected more from Land Rover. Sales process good, dealership friendly with good facilities but car came with issues that should have been resolved in advance and car wasnt fully prepared. What was agreed wasnt followed through and felt a bit disappointed.

The car that I purchased last week has had a couple of early problems related to the brakes and exhaust. Shouldn't really be the case however the car is to be booked in to be looked at. Should the issues be rectified at no expense to me my general scoring would be better.

Visited the Car Store which is an intresting experience. You have to check in on arrival and are giving a lanyard with your name on it and assigned a salesmam. On reflection it was a bit patronising wearing a name tag. The salesman was good enough, I saw the car I was looking for and then we sat down to look at figures but they way Peter Vardy work is they are passed to someone to look at but were not in my budget and then i felt the salesman could not be bothered after that. I think if he wanted my business he could of done more. Anywhere I sent to visit a Nissan dealership they had the same car with a lot less miles on clock and the car was 2000 pounds cheaper and they bent over back wards to get me the deal I was looking for so left a happy customer. On reflection I won't buy a car from Vardy in future as the prices for cars are high and the salesman could of done better in terms of service.
