“Jasmine absolutely devours poppy's picnic food. She is a very fussy eater & chicken mad. Has been on another raw food for quite a while but went completely off it. She's not very food oriented but comes & asks for her poppy's food.”

“Excellent food. I almost felt I could eat it myself. No smell. Dogs absolutely love it. The one they were on before(from a very well known raw food brand) was so smelly & was always swimming in blood & gore!! The reason we changed was because our one dog was itching all of the time, she has now stopped itching!! It makes me wonder about the production of this mass produced raw food!!! I cannot praise this company enough. I have stopped heaving when I am feeding my dogs & feel happy that they are really enjoying it”

“Excellent quality and always arrives frozen, whether we have it delivered to our home address or our holiday address. Bailey likes his Poppys Picnic so much, that, if we haven’t had our dinner by 17:00, he reminds us what time it is. When we have had our dinner, it’s then time for Bailey to eat his. Again, when we have eaten our food, he let’s us know it’s now his turn.”

Hello Sandra Sorry to hear that your dog hasn't taken to Poppy's Picnic food. We have come across this before and happily helped others to switch. Some dogs can take their time adjusting to any changes in their diet - so it may be worth persevering. You could ( if you want to introduce an occasional freshness) and still feed dry or cooked food remove 2 tablespoons of dry and add 1 tablespoon of raw. This is what we called now and then feeders. “Food quality is fantastic, packaging is good quality, but could be better in hotter months of the year as I find some food is defrosted by the time it’s delivered. Refrigerated transportation or at least a change from sweltering hot vans might help.”

Hello Kirsty Thanks for your kind words and we are really pleased that your dog is enjoying Poppy's picnic. Sometimes the top layers defrost slightly. The food is still safe to store back in the freezer or defrost fully to use, a long as the contents do not go over 4 degrees celcius. Our insulated courier boxes have been specially designed for 48 hour transport time, and each pack keeps the other pack cold – a bit like when we huddle together to keep warm! “I am so delighted with Poppy's Picnic! And so are my dogs. The quality, texture, and choice ingredients couldn't be better. Plus the delivery was super efficient. There's lots of choices that include raw green tripe, which I believe is an elixir for dogs.”

“Food excellent as ever - our own "Poppy" is fit and sprightly on it, and what little "waste" comes out the other end shows just what great quality it is. Her favourites are the lamb and beef, with the chicken perhaps a little bland, so either gently "browned" for a little flavour, or a little cooked ham or other treat added! Dealing with Poppy's Picnic always a great experience - very friendly and clearly passionate about their brand and products. Nothing ever too much trouble! Heartily recomment Poppy's Picnic - having tried various others,, we will not go anywhere else now!”

WOW! Thanks so much John. So glad to here that Poppy is thriving on Poppy's Picnic food. If she is finding the chicken a little bland then you could try sprinkling a very small amount of grated cheese. Only a small amount as this is calorific. As a treat sometimes Poppy and her sisters enjoy a raspberry or little piece of strawberry. They love a small piece of cherry tomato too! Much Kindness Debs and Poppy
