Sold my house through them. Came, gave the pitch, once I paid my house was worth less than the initially explained. Decided to price between what he recommended and what I thought, got way above that anyway (I still feel it was underpriced for the area). So they are just looking for a quick sale with little or no work on their side. The description copy pasted from a house down the road he had sold, which is nothing like mine (eg. modern kitchen when mine clearly needs renovating), totally unhappy with the photographs, almost every person that visited mentioned how much bigger and better it looked than in the pictures (I was hoping that the pictures would reflect reality, not better, not worse). Felt pushed to accept an offer, I wanted to show it for a full week, had a few offers on the table and a few more people interested in seeing it (first and second views). Positives, he did thoroughly check on the economic situation of people that put offers in, so the sale never fell through. He was always very responsive on the phone/message/email; any time, any day.

Purple bricks are a disgrace ,still marketing property for sale ,even being made fully aware that this property is jointly owned and has not the permision of one of the owners to be sold as it is part of a divorce settlment that has yet to be finalised ,this has been reported to the ombudsman, but they are still advertising this property on their website ,rightmove have taken it of theirs

I'd give 5 stars for Purple Bricks themselves; they found a buyer within 3 days but the problem was having to use their conveyancer. So began the nightmare: having to fathom how to use their website and how to upload lots of documents, visiting the site each day in order to obey new instructions etc. If you are very comfortable with IT, you'll probably be ok but if you're not, make sure you have someone who is able to nurse you through it. Be aware that once a buyer has been found, Purple Bricks have nothing more to do with sale. As for 'No fees' you pay a set fee, payable when the sale money comes through or in 9 months, whichever is the sooner. The fee is payable whether the property is sold or not. The fee for the sale of a property worth £212k was £1233. Much cheaper than elsewhere. Would I use them again? Probably.

Went through the sales process with them which was great. Simon and Anthea were super helpful and great to work with. Post-sale however PB are a nightmare! They provide a reactive service which means you will need to phone them in order for them to phone buyers solicitors to get an update. If they don't get an update they don't call you back to let you know. There is zero proactivity and even the post-sale support team confirm that they do not provide a proactive service. Unfortunately post sale I have had no contact from any one at PB. If you;re happy to save a few grand and do the chasing and managing the sale yourself then that's fine but it's not an easy process.
