The modern and innovative answer to an estate agents, we’re the revolution that the property market needed. Here at Purplebricks, we’re still ‘proper’ estate agents, we just do things a little differently to benefit our customers. We work longer, more flexible hours, we don’t charge commission and we let you take control as much or as little as you want. Our customers can’t get enough of this new way of selling, buying and renting property and praise the way we work after battling with the cons of traditional estate agents for too long. Have to repeat yourself every time you call- different people. You’re allocated a “case manager” but never get to speak to them. It’s more hassle than worth - pay cheap get a rubbish service! If you agree an offer - it goes to someone else. It’s a really stressful situation as it is. Save yourself some stress and have an estate agent where you can walk into their branch if you need to.

Paid up front, my father's "assisted living apartment" did not allow For Sale signs. My main grievance is that they stopped advertising the property immediately the first interested party presented themselves. I wanted it to be listed as "under offer" which would still allow other interested parties to consider the property. After months of inaction the party withdrew from the prospect and over the winter period nothing happened. I ended up with a smaller company who found a buyer at a sensible purchase price. Purple Bricks failed me.

Poor experience using PurpleBricks to sell 2 properties. For one they assigned a solicitors to the buyers who were totally incompetent. Initial work is fine with setup of adverts, but their local agents are not interested in any customer service after clinching the sale. Would not recommend them. They are cheaper than high street agents but you get what you pay for.

No as clear or upfront as they should be So I used Purplebricks to market my flat in November. In my opinion they are like the e-Harmony or Plenty of Fish. Using their online system, Purplebricks can introduce you to prospective buyers, you pay a fee for that whether you sell or not. As for the fees that's where they could be more transparent, I opted to pay upfront £999 - no mention that doesn't include key handover. I had 5 or 6 viewings and 2 offers. But no fault of Purplebricks, my flat didn't complete due to the lease. Would I use Purplebricks again? Unlikely. As it's cost me £999 and my flat didn't complete.

Purple Bricks offer any appointments, at any time, without consideration of the agent's location to be able to physically be there for the appointment. An issue I encountered when trying to arrange the valuation initially, and happened to soo many potential buyers with the viewing of my property thereafter. They rely on you booking the appointment, then getting in touch with you to change the time retrospectively. A frustrating experience that in my mind, starts the process off in a negative way for both vendors and prospective buyers. The 'agent' herself came to the property to measure up, take some pictures, get the listing live, but she didn't do much more than this. She was quick to send her invoice to my solicitor for the 'services' she offered. Lisa on the other hand, who did my agent's viewings on her behalf, was great. Always happy to take my calls and texts, making every effort to accommodate the viewings and kept me up to date. Lisa is the reason I give any stars in this review. If the post sales teams are meant to take over once a sale is agreed, they also don't earn any stars. On the two ooccasions I spoke to the post sales team, I gave a full explanation of the position I was in and the help I needed and on both occasions they completely ignored/misunderstood what I'd said and didn't help at all. Needless to say I gave up after that and dealt with it all myself. Fortunately for me I had a responsive buyer who I was in touch with directly. A word of warning, if you intend on using your own solicitor, PAY UPFRONT for your Purple Bricks selling fees. Something I didn't do and was hit with a hefty and unnecessary charge. Small print that in mind opinion was too easy to miss. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Purple Bricks.

After a quick house sale via purple bricks we went with the solicitor they recommend. Big mistake! Had nothing but problems thereafter and purple bricks did not follow up on any post sale complaint. Would not use purple bricks in the future.

Purple bricks, what can I say other than you get what you pay for. If I ever spoke to my agent it was because I called him. My house sold itself and I ciukd have and did eventually value my giuse myself because it was under valued. A quick sale springs to mind. So if you want to do absolutely everything yourself then cheap and cheerful is what yoir looking for then Purple bricks is for you. Didn't even get a call when everything was finalised and we moved out of our house. Nothing not a word.

The support from purple bricks was appalling I had four local agents, only one was any good. I wouldn't recommend these estate agents.

Great first time presentation says all the things right and initially (1st 4 weeks) very good communication. Then it all stopped and promises of continually review your situation on a weekly basis with my team etc etc it never ever happened. Even to point of seeing the Purple Bricks guy across the room at an event and he clearly knew who we were but deliberately avoided my wife and I. I would say if you have a property which will basically have sold itself anyway these folk may be right for you. But as we found with one that needed a bit more effort then you are wasting your money and hopes going with likes of Purple Bricks - this even with them being a lower sale charge. Now we just were wanting to view a rental property with Purple Bricks - a different agent but similar area and OMG here we go again !! No reply even after numerous messages left and still no nearer knowing if we will view this property. I wonder if the rental owner knows what they have given their business to ? Final interesting point and never qualifies it with any viewer but after months we decided to place our property on the market with a "traditional estate agent" and this in tandem with Purple Bricks. Interesting point is both adverts listed beside one another on the likes of Rightmove so viewers ha da choice of who to view through and in 11 instances each viewer chose to make their appointment via the traditional agent. WHY - I do not have that answer but really interesting and extremely important fact to consider.

Very good at the beginning, all promises and high hopes, followed by poor communication, both people working with our house have left and we didn't know who is dealing with our sale, had to chase for a while. Talk a lot of negative talk about competitors, but do exactly the same things they blame the competitors for, i.e. "promising because they want your business". Also, and perhaps, most importantly, have to pay regardless of sale/no sale.

Bought a house with PurpleBricks and I would never do this again! Their communication was poor and unprofessional. There were issues with a tight deadline and the sale could have fallen through, and they wouldn’t take my calls or return my call after I had left voicemails. Instead I receive a snotty text message thinking this would suffice. Avoid!
