I have used these before and had a great experience but let me just quickly let you in on why to AVOID them now. I went live on the 26th of July, I opted for hosted viewings. They organised to have someone do my hosted viewings who was on holiday until the 19th of August. Every time someone wanted to book a viewing they can only do it online and were faced with choosing a date from the 19th of August. That is 24 days potentials are supposed to wait to get a viewing. Can you imagine telling that your buyers? The service costs an extra £600 between the unhosted package to the package that includes hosted viewings. I must declare now that i chose to pay upfront because it was half price (cheapskate, I know) I regret that choice now, actually I regret choosing Purple Bricks altogether. I had to phone them to let them know of their mistake can you believe, how is nobody managing this? Everything seems to be done internally with them via email so do not expect someone to rush to your aid because it is not happening. Phil my account manager sent an email to the manager of hosted viewings, guess what, she was on holiday too so that never got picked up either. Phil said he would put my account forward to this external company called Viewber where they can put out jobs for local estate agents to take on the role of hosted viewings. Days went by with no contact from them. To rectify the situation I felt forced into asking them to remove the hosted viewings package so I could do the viewings myself so i could set the availability to get viewings to now rather than the 19th of August. I did not want to do the viewings, I had literally just come out of hospital after skin surgery, I was in no fit state but what can you do? I put in a complaint and just today received the outcome. You will laugh at this, they offered me a £100 refund. You know where they can stick that! Honestly, you really do get what you pay for with this service, run away now if you haven't already. You are still here, interested to know more are we? The photos are shocking, too much contrast, and oddly made the rooms look smaller than they are, what happened to them looking bigger like they always do? Plus you are only "allowed" 15 when the guy takes 50+ The floor maps were all out of wack making rectangular or square rooms appear like they were trapezoid. The house description, as they now no longer use actual people to come round or know the local area, do not expect them to describe the lovely area your home is in or what is around it, that is far too much effort. Ai it is for you. If you are still considering Purple Bricks, give your head a wobble and re-read this. Repeat as many times as necessary until it sinks in.

Dealing with a online real estate agent Purplebricks is a nightmare for us buying a property. The first day we visit a house where the hired freelance viewing assistant does not have the pincode to open the key box. The freelance assistant already file a complaint with Purplebricks two days earlier with the same issue where he also had to disappoint potential viewers. Nothing was done to sort this issue in those days and therefor we were the second viewers he had to disappoint. Onwards to the next house, bit of a walk away from public transport, and at that next address there was nobody to open the door. Ofcourse Purplebricks blaims this on the owner who was supposed to show the place to us. With their beautiful Purplebricks sign in the garden they still don't take responsibility for the end to end service. Both cases show why you need have a local real estate agent who has knowledge of the neighbourhood, knows the house him or herself, and can actually add value to the visit and to the conversation with the potential buyer. When you call Purplebricks better have enough credit on your phone since they will put you on hold long and regularly. The last issue is now they want to have our own postal address certified by a solicitor ($$) while that was not the case with the previous purchase few months ago with a local real estate agent. Let us all do ourselves a favour and do business with local real estate agents who actually add value to the sales and buying process.

I have had a really horrible time selling my park home with this company and to be honest, the frustration, negative experience and emotional stress I got from dealing with them isn't worth their so called "cheap fees" and the sale process will now actually cost me more. If it was possible for me to give them a minus score, I would. Firstly, I was sold a premium package by one of their saleswomen which I paid £1,499 for. At no point in time did the saleswoman mention to me that this payment will only cover six months of their service. Now, I am asking them to relist the property due to an unserious buyer and I am being told the package I paid for has expired. I checked the fees leaflet I was sent again and there is no mention of a six months duration anywhere on the document. Surely, this is fraud! During the marketing of the property, different agents showed up to deal with the viewings and often used the toilets at the property leaving me to deal with a stinking mess as the main water supply at the property was shut-off. Shortly after the property was put on the market, I noticed a "For Sale" sign was not put up. I called several times to complain but nothing happened. But when I accepted an offer on the property, they were quick to put a "STC" sign up. While waiting for the buyer to complete the sale, I often had to deal with the post sales team. While a couple of the guys were helpful, many of them were not and treated me like they were doing me a favour. Shortly after I accepted an offer, I got the usual generic email from a member of the post sales team to introduce herself as my post sales advisor but she never called, was never available when I called and never returned my calls. Sometimes when I called and asked to speak to someone who could assist, I was told they are busy and cannot talk to me and that I should send an email instead. There was this day, when one of the team members said he was busy and couldn't take my call but surprisingly had the time to reply to several of my emails over a thirty minutes duration as a means of communication rather than taking my call. Now, I have to try and relist my property again with another estate agent and pay nearly twice the amount I paid to Purplebricks, the initial £1,499 having gone down the drain. So, word of advice, don't be fooled by the cheap fees as you will end up paying more not to mention the arrogance, poor customer service, frustration, deceit and emotional stress you will have to deal with during the entire process. You are better off paying more and dealing with professional estate agents who would give you a better service and appreciate your custom.

I had a very poor experience with Shavaie Zanzala. Her communication was unacceptably slow, with email responses taking weeks, making it impossible to make any progress. The lack of professionalism and urgency was shocking, especially considering the importance of the matter. This level of service is completely unacceptable and has caused me significant frustration and wasted time. I would not recommend working with her if you want a smooth and efficient process.

An absolutely disgusting company it doesn’t take much to go online and see thousands of negative reviews about Purplebricks. This disgusting company has been chasing me for money that I do not owe for almost a year now they have caused me great emotional distress and caused severe financial difficulty for myself I have taken it to the Osmo board and they have decided to side with Purplebricks despite all of the facts that are in place. Did you know that Purplebricks has a sub clause in their contract? That says they’re allowed to take 28 working days from the last time they contacted you , this is just absolutely absurd. I have reported Purplebricks to trading standards to the Osmo odium board and I’ve tried to reason with them but they are acting Disgusting manor Threatening me over the phone and refusing to listen to my justification they put the house up for sale and for nine months I had four messages off housing manager and the property was not sold. I had over 30 viewings 26 of which were cancelled by purple Bricks due to no available agent I then found out two months into selling the property that the housing manager had agreed to work with me to sell the house was fired for conduct somehow six months later he was re-hired by the company became my housing manager again ignored all my calls messages emails and even when I went to the offices was completely ignored. This company is full of crooks and customer service advisors who are not there to assist you anything you have been promised by this company is simply a lie I would highly recommend that you go elsewhere as their advertisement lies. Their policy is corrupt and their communication is awful. I would happily take them to court if I need to because I don’t believe in paying for a service that I have not received.

They may be OK as selling agents, but as letting agents they are absolutely usless. They know nothing about property management, and in the end you have to do everything yourself, while they carry on taking money. We've sacked them now.

If it were at all possible to give zero or, to more accurately describe our experience as buyers, it would be a solid -10 or more. From the very beginning purple bricks did everything imaginable to delay the start of the process. Our refusal to use their Ap on the grounds that we didn’t want our information shared was the blue touch paper to a five week delay and refusal to accept, despite evidence from our banks, solicitors etc, that we were who we said we were. Ironically for a digital service they wanted proof in person! As bas was the lifetime legal organisation. They confirmed our credentials and ‘welcomed’ us as ‘members’ before deciding to reject our credentials than approve than reject etc etc. Incidentally, we didn’t want to be members, never asked to be members, and certainly did not want any of the services or costs thrown our way any more than the unsolicited phone calls asking for our personal details, passport, bank details etc. When, after five weeks from us putting in an offer they decided to release the property for sale, both we and the sellers were so dumbfounded, perplexed and angry the congratulation email that we can now start our ‘journey’ was beyond satire, as was the allocation of a dedicated purple bricks minion to support us through said journey, which we declined. A word to the wise both potential sellers and purchasers, avoid this company at all costs they are bloody awful and make an already stressful situation far, far worse.

I travelled over 2 hours for this viewing and paid 15pounds for the train, for the agent to not show up. I was left waiting in heavy rain for 30mins and the only way i managed to get through their customer service was pretending I was making an offer on a house.

Purplebricks took £80 of our money in order to check that we weren’t distant relations of Pablo Escobar only to then inform us that we had been gazumped. Avoid this amoral company like the plague.

As a buyer my experience with this company is dreadful. I would never again consider a property if it’s being sold by PB. Sellers need to be aware that agents don’t turn up for viewings and/or cancel at the last minute, have no knowledge of the property and appear disinterested about encouraging a sale. Also it’s impossible to speak to the person at the call centre dealing with the sale, you’re repeatedly told they’ll ring you, which they never do. I made an offer online, which put me through to the seller so PB don’t act as a normal estate agent for negotiations. From a buyers perspective it’s more difficult if you’re dealing directly with the seller, particularly if there are some issues with the property requiring works as you don’t want to appear rude about it. Then obviously the next issue is you’ve no idea if the seller is telling the truth about other viewings/offers regarding other prospective purchasers in an attempt to get you to raise your offer. In all honesty it’s not worth the hassle from a buyers perspective, which sellers also need to take note as you’re reducing the number of potential buyers if people avoid a property if it’s being sold with PB. I have withdrawn my offer due to the appalling customer service. Far better to use a local estate agent with a physical office who is easy to contact by phone. Dreadful company.

Terrible experience with Daniel Edwards Made my life a misery for a week. Harassing and bullying me via email for documents that I explained I didn’t have as I’m an executor. I was buying a property not selling. But he made it so difficult for me and the seller Horrible.

I sold my property, accepted an offer earlier this year. Had trouble with the solicitor they recommend. PM Law. Please do not use. Terrible. Then I get an email to advise my credit agreement has come to an end. I didn't sign a credit agreement and the sales man didn't advise I would be chased. Completion is delayed due to boundary issues. I don't have £2k to pay and the company dougli won't contact purple bricks. They won't speak to my solicitor. Multiple emails with terrible communication and no actual help from purple bricks. I really thought this company could help me sell smoothly. Its been hard especially as I'm selling to break free from domestic abuse situation. Completion shouldn't be far off. Be nice to actually get someone who speaks English when answering the phone to help. Instead of reading a script back to you. None of these companies talk to each other bit all want money. Money for what??

We were charged an additional £550 for 'Agent accompanies viewings'. He didn't even have a key. This was difficult to find as they would not provide a breakdown of charges until I put in a complaint. This company is not trustworthy and have underhand practices.

Absolute disgrace. Only under offer now as after nearly two years I requested to deal with the next buyer personally, such has been the horror story that has ensued, and without their interference… Low and behold I received an offer… but even now at the eleventh hour, despite them confirming management packs are included in the conveyancing quote, now they’re saying they’ve made the error will not pay it… horrendous and despicable throughout… toe-curling-ly bad, world class sale prevention specialists …
