Terrible experience with Daniel Edwards Made my life a misery for a week. Harassing and bullying me via email for documents that I explained I didn’t have as I’m an executor. I was buying a property not selling. But he made it so difficult for me and the seller Horrible.

I sold my property, accepted an offer earlier this year. Had trouble with the solicitor they recommend. PM Law. Please do not use. Terrible. Then I get an email to advise my credit agreement has come to an end. I didn't sign a credit agreement and the sales man didn't advise I would be chased. Completion is delayed due to boundary issues. I don't have £2k to pay and the company dougli won't contact purple bricks. They won't speak to my solicitor. Multiple emails with terrible communication and no actual help from purple bricks. I really thought this company could help me sell smoothly. Its been hard especially as I'm selling to break free from domestic abuse situation. Completion shouldn't be far off. Be nice to actually get someone who speaks English when answering the phone to help. Instead of reading a script back to you. None of these companies talk to each other bit all want money. Money for what??

We were charged an additional £550 for 'Agent accompanies viewings'. He didn't even have a key. This was difficult to find as they would not provide a breakdown of charges until I put in a complaint. This company is not trustworthy and have underhand practices.

Absolute disgrace. Only under offer now as after nearly two years I requested to deal with the next buyer personally, such has been the horror story that has ensued, and without their interference… Low and behold I received an offer… but even now at the eleventh hour, despite them confirming management packs are included in the conveyancing quote, now they’re saying they’ve made the error will not pay it… horrendous and despicable throughout… toe-curling-ly bad, world class sale prevention specialists …

One of the worst organization. They don't have customer centric mindset and speak very rudely with clients. If you want to withdraw your request, they will take months to process the refund and they don't respond to your emails or calls.

We have these in our chain and it has been a nightmare, miscommunication, costly delays in process. The rest of the chain has been ready for over 4 weeks. If you have this company in your chain, it would save time and money to pull out. Avoid at all costs.

Don't instruct this company. They are abysmal. They will also promise you the earth and do nothing to sell your property. I lost 10 months when my property was on the market with them during which time property prices went down and the market flattened out so also lost thousands. Strangely when I disinstructed them they were very quick to send their account and then put slimy debt collectors onto me. PLEASE DO NOT INSTRUCT THEM OR BE TAKEN IN BY THEIR ADVERTISING RUBBISH - YOU WILL REGRET IT BITTERLY.

Shocking company communication terrible and progress with sale not good. Go to a local agent who you can talk to one on one. Just pulled my Aunts Bungalow off the market absolute don't care once they have your money. I am not normally a whinger but these people deserve it. Stay away.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. I listed my property with Purplebricks and paid £900 to do so. After 4 months I had to de-list and write off the £900 cost due to the following reasons. 1. There is virtually no method of trying to communicate with potential buyers. You have to send ‘Messages’ through their app, which no one has and the only notification they get of a message is an email which goes straight into their junk file. For viewings I had to make a 3+ hour plus journey each way, which I was happy to do hence me signing up, but the inability to contact people to confirm viewings and ask simple questions led to a huge amount of stress, inconvenience and wasted time. 2. When messages hadn’t even been delivered to buyers and I was unsure if viewings were taking place, I had to phone purple bricks to ask if they could get in contact with the buyers. I was always met with conflicting help with this, with some people phoning buyers for me and others (mainly my account manager) saying there was nothing they could do and it was my responsibility to get in contact with them. Which obviously I had been trying to do but Purple bricks gives you no functioning method of doing so!!! 3. When I had my valuation the picture was falsely given, all sunshine and roses. From the minute I went live and spoke with my account manager Mark Simms he told me what a terrible place the market was in and basically that there was little hope of selling. I have no idea what his job actually is other than being negative and unhelpful. 4. Their written advert was useless, it didn’t highlight any of the best selling features or key info, and I ended up writing it myself and sending to my account manager. 5. The photography photos were awful and didn’t include a photo of the flats own front door, a main selling feature. 6. The map location on the advert was also incorrect, also showing the wrong public transport. This was at the start of it being advertised and hence it could have generated the most interest. 7. For Sale sign was never put up. All aspects of the service were incredibly poor and a total waste of my money. I have now listed with an actual estate agent!

Poor customer service. Always you have to dial a standard number and have to wait for ages to talk to them. They don't care to respond to your email/phone call requests.

Really poor service from Purplebricks.... they don't return your calls, they don't reply to emails, you can't get hold of the individuals allocated to your sale. I found Purplebricks to be a shambles and have submitted a formal complaint about my experience. They are a waste of money and caused me personally a considerable amount of stress due to their incompetence. No where near good enough!

Do not waste your time with this company. House has been on the market nearly 2 years and the agents dont even try and help sell your property. We even got a new agent after the last suddenly left but didnt not say ,and the new agent hasnt even been bothered to contact us. Take my advice and use a different estate agent , as once you pay purple bricks then its game over.

What a sham. They take your money and do nothing. You can't talk to anyone, if you are lucky to get through they cut you off, pass you around then lie to you. The house still wasn't put on market nearly 3 weeks on, so we got another estate agent and it was on the market that evening, with 4 viewings booked by the next day!!!! Don't waste your money or time with these wasters.

I usually avoid viewing a house if its through purple bricks because every time I tried in the past they didn't show up. Saw a house I really liked today so against my better judgement I tried to book a viewing but I'm getting error messages being thrown at me now on their site. Theyre just a nightmare

I would not have given them 1 star, Honestly, I don't know how these guys can run such a poor performing business and get away with it, they sure do know how to frustrate customers, they just waste your time and don't care, clearly not professional set up when you speak to the incompetent staff who promise but fail to deliver, thank you for the negative experience.

They now demand full fee which we complained about last year . STAY AWAY from these total liars and crooks

I don't think they are interested in selling houses. Just tried to book a viewing and I've never had to jump through so many hoops. To make matters worse the soonest date was 5 days time. Sellers beware !

Hey PurpleBricks Crew, Hope you're doing alright. I wish I could say the same, but it's been 17 weeks of radio silence from your end, and I'm starting to wonder if anyone's home. Let me sum up the sitcom of errors I've experienced: Radio Silence: Tried to chat with Heather, was promised a call from Marlena, but I'm still waiting by the phone like a teenager in the '90s. Call Me Maybe? Not Really: Joel and Marlena finally showed up, but the issues persisted. It's like the phone's on mute. Pause Button Drama: Asked to pause my advert, and after a cameo from Yugeshan, it became a confusing plot twist about re-listing. App-tastrophe: Tried to get clarity on re-listing, but the app was giving me the silent treatment. Sent evidence, but no one's breaking the ice. Complaint Chronicles: Lodged a complaint on 11/09/2023. Got a reply on 14/09/2023, but it was like reading a script with no answers. Sent more emails, but it's a ghost town in my inbox. Where's My Resolution?: PurpleBricks promised a resolution in 15 working days. It's been 17 weeks! I've aged more waiting for your response than a fine wine. Look, I'm not here to audition for a drama series. I just want answers, solutions, and maybe a refund for the stress. I've been patient, but this silent treatment is getting old. If I don't hear from you soon, I'm thinking Property Ombudsman or maybe my own reality show—call it "PurpleBricks Mysteries: The Case of the Vanishing Customer Service." Fix it, or I'll have to take this saga elsewhere. Waiting... or maybe not,
