If you don't want sell your house and waste £1894 then go with purplebricks, they are utterly useless,no communication or feedback.only had 2 viewings in 6months so went with local estate agent and sold house in 1 week.

Purplebricks is a scam. Avoid dealing with them. They are not estate agents in any capacity, they are just a marketing company, they just put your advert in a couple of websites and then, when u don't have any viewings for selling your property, they make fake viewings until the 14 days period passes so u can't ask your money back. I complained many times and vague answers. I ever even got a sales board and when I complained about that too they offered me £75 compensation that was Never paid to me! And then they disappeared and not replying to my emails. Don't waste time and money with scammers like Purplebricks

I have used purple bricks to let out a executive flat in the city walls Chester. They have handled this two times previously last time it doesn't go well however with the company changes I thought I would give a second chance. My original letting contact has left the company spoke to the online help and was promised an email that day to start the process nothing arrived. After trying again I have made a complaint a promise of three days and you will receive apply that was eight days ago. Nothing received. This property will let immediately they will not have to do any work all the background and photographs is on the system they don't appear to be interested take great care if you intend on using them

We have our property for sale with purple bricks. We have cameras inside and outside of house. The person who shows buyers around house just stands there in their phone or looks at themselves in the mirror, no encouragement from them what so ever and if asked a question they answer with … I don’t know. They also say just offer a lower price! Wish we had never chosen this company!

Once they have taken their fee they're not interested. Calls go unanswered, emails take days to be replied to and they don't arrange viewings and/or don't show up for them. This has happened to me and my friends who listed with them. Estate agents cost more but they will get your house sold. Purple Bricks are incentivesed not to sell your property as they'll keep more of your money instead of spending it on closing the sale. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Very Poor Letting Agent Terrible, uncontactable business. Management portal for landlords……….forget it, rubbish in, rubbish out. High turnover of staff and I have lost count of the number of ‘property managers’ that I have been allocated to my property over 3 years, 12 at least. And by the way Purplebricks please do not leave a nicey, nicey reply asking for further information for you to look into the multiple issues that I have experienced with your mismanagement of my property and the tenant as I have already been through the complaints process twice and found that the complaints department is as good/bad as the rest of your appalling business.

Steer well clear of PBs. Well clear! Do you hear! I was well sucked in by their promises to sell my house quickly. Just like their TV ad. I am now massively out of pocket because of their mistakes. Lack of communication/ feedback. Frequently unable to contact the local rep. My house was initially over-valued by them, despite my initial request of a 50,000 lower price, hence very little interest. I was wrongly advised that by launching my house at their suggested price, I would attract both prospective buyers looking for a house in the £600,000 bracket, and the £ 500,000 bracket. What misleading nonsense was that!? They also mislaid my keys, causing delays in the EPC inspection. . I eventually went with another company who sold my house within two weeks. Online estate agents are rubbish. Avoid at all costs! This one especially! You still have to pay their exorbitant fee ( minus £100 by way of an “apology.” in my case. Merci beaucoup PBs!) whether they sell your house or not..You try to leave! They suck you right back in again” Quote from the “Sopranos.” I rest my case. I have since moved abroad.

If I could rate this company with no stars I would. Close to retiring I decided to sell my Airbnb which was a very smart completely renovated and always got a 5*review. I relied on the income whilst it was being sold. I chose to delay payment and signed accordingly. A cash buyer came along she was one of 3 offers. She wanted to move quickly so we advised our respective solicitors and off we went.PB would not let me use my own solicitor even though I complained to the Head Office after 3 weeks. They said I had no choice but to use their solicitor Premier Property Lawyers. I removed all the white goods and sold the rest of the furniture as the buyer had her own. 7 months later and after three aborted completion dates the buyer pulled out saying she had no confidence that the sale would ever go through. On each of the three occasions she was in a hotel with her daughter they had travelled 3 hundred miles and had a removal van with their belongings in it waiting to offload. I lost £17,000 in Airbnb income I also lost the £10,000 which the buyer was willing to pay to beat the other offers. If I had the money I would have taken PN to court but I didn’t. They chased me for payment by threatening me with debt collectors and threats of bailiffs if I didn’t pay. I suggest you stay well away from this shambolic company.

This company needs to be investigated for fraud. Once you sign the contract you won’t hear from them again. Every complaints process is delayed as they are inundated so be resolution. They don’t engage with the ombudsman either. They shouldn’t be allowed to keep trading. It’s a disgrace and apparently we owe them for this service. I will see you in court.

Totally unprofessional will not return calls when you eventually get through. When you have an issue every one is busy! If you have your property fully managed you still have to chase them. When you leave and ask for your keys to be returned they say they never had them! On their website it says just hand us the keys!! They could not have done the viewings with out them or any maintenance!! and think they can fob you off with an email!!!

The meeting with the agent sounded wonderful . Houses in my area are selling fast you have 24/7 CONTACT with your manager wont take long to sell . 189 days later and 5 viewings and 3 changes of viewing agent we finally contacted the council as they were doing an empty homes scheme and we are now in the process of selling. It was very hard to get any of the three viewing agents to respond to calls and texts. At one point we had an offer PB rang them up and was so rude the family they withdrew their offer and refused to do anything as long as purple bricks had their finger in the pie . so we had an offer recently which we accepted, PB didnt let anyone know we had accepted . I had to contact the seller and their solicitor then my solicitor i asked why PB hadnt done this they said they didnt now the offer was accepted . Then PB sent me an email informing me that someone had made an offer i said yes i know i told you . There were points along the way where we enquired about using a different estate agents after we reduced the price and we asked PB to inform all the people who had viewed the house the price had been changed , everything was too much of an effort. Initial contact was great then all down hill. I WOULDNT BOTHER USING THEM AGAIN!

Purplebricks get paid to NOT sell your property Purplebricks offer a cheap service because YOU PAY whether you sell your property or not. They get paid anyway so they are not incentivised to do anything proactive and I can truly say they are the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their unprofessionalism, inefficiency and incompetence are unrivalled. I put my property on with them and initially had many requests to view via their app which were cancelled within minutes. The agent dealing left within the first few weeks and her replacement never returned calls, I heard nothing for months and emails went unanswered. It was apparent after the property had been on the market for a few weeks that Purplebricks lost interest. Eventually I took the property off the market and immediately received a bill for £1,999 from a company called Duologi. Apparently if you opt for the “pay later” option Duologi pay Purplebricks and then take on the “debt” so you are effectively entering into a finance contract with them – none of which was explained to me (the agent I initially met told me I only paid when the property was sold or 10 months after if I chose this option) and I naively clicked on the marketing materials emailed to me without reading the small print, a costly lesson learned. To add insult to injury Purplebricks refused to return my keys (which included an expensive chipped main door fob as well as keys to the actual apartment itself) for six weeks, ignored all emails and phone calls and only returned the keys when I threatened them with the police as this was a security issue. I went through their complaints process which took months and then to the Ombudsman but was hounded at home and work even before the case was decided by debt recovery agents who demanded my personal information but refused to tell me who they were so I blocked them thinking they were scammers. Interestingly the Ombudsman had a huge file of complaints about this company which is why they took months to deal with my case. Purplebricks even ignored the Ombudsman’s request to send them their file so the case was decided without it. I would be quite happy to pay if I got a halfway decent service BUT I object to paying for a service that was not only substandard, it was non-existent and caused a lot of stress and in the meantime interest rates went up and the market flattened out. We the consumer should be able to have some redress against a company for negligent performance but it would seem we have not as all I got bleated to me was “you signed the paperwork”. Yes I did but I was also misled verbally and promised a decent professional service which I did not get. I find it hard to believe in this highly regulated world that a company can trade in this way. This is quite unacceptable. Please read the negative reviews on here and also look at the Facebook site “Do Not Use Purplebricks” and you will see many, many other horror stories. Remember, there is a reason this company was sold for £1 earlier this year. Do not believe their strapline or marketing bumf. Please, please do not trust this company and go to an agent with a robust NO SALE NO FEE policy. You will pay more but trust me it’s worth it.

My name is John Ruane from Warrington I was selling my house through purplebricks. I was totally miss sold a service, which was never lived up to. Totally over valued to win the contract, minimum contact, only getting call backs when I chased up progress reports or if they suggested dropping the price on several occasions by £50k. After months of getting no where and terminating the agreement, they still chased the payment. I went through all avenues of their two tier complaints procedure, to which they admitted poor service and failings, I got a reduced agreed payment amount. They then hide behind a payment collection partner, who they do not liaise with. I then found they fraudulently took the wrong amount from my bank, then unbelievably requested this same fraudulent payment again. I had to contact the CEO Sam Mitchell, to resolve, who did not have the decency to reply to my request to help. All the way through this miss sold service, their was nothing but an unprofessional service and issues and then dishonesty. If you have had a similar service with purplebricks I would like to here of your similar experience, has I try to take this to the property onbudman and publicly to show this company for what it is. Have to repeat yourself every time you call- different people. You’re allocated a “case manager” but never get to speak to them. It’s more hassle than worth - pay cheap get a rubbish service! If you agree an offer - it goes to someone else. It’s a really stressful situation as it is. Save yourself some stress and have an estate agent where you can walk into their branch if you need to.
