“Do not feel that having a Jeep was remotely necessary or worth the added cost. Part of the group taken on kayak trip that had to be canceled and have not received a refund. Guides were wonderful and wine tasting in Buenos Aires could not be beat. Overall, for the hiking part of the trip, would recommend using guides from hotel/resort.”

Dear Fredric, Thank you for taking the time to express your candid feedback with our team – we really appreciate it. We're very sorry to hear that your private, luxury Jeep® experience didn't meet your expectations. Since you booked this trip through a travel agency, instead of our in-house Expedition Designers, we needed to get in touch with your travel agent to obtain a little bit more information about your booking/travel experience with us. After speaking with your agent, we were made aware that the 3 couples who came along for the adventure each wanted to enjoy different excursions on several of their safari dates. Being that our Jeeps only accommodate 4 Guests and our 1 private Naturalist Guide, and all Guests on each Jeep would experience the same activities together, multiple Jeeps were required in order to fulfill each traveler's wishes of partaking in different activities. When you forego private Jeep excursions in Patagonia, you are limited to what the hotels have to offer and often miss out on the once-in-a-lifetime experience you originally sought out for, and paid for. Hotel excursions are conducted in vans and in larger groups on a tighter schedule. Additionally, hotel activities are specific to each property, you choose them on arrival, not all excursions are available every day at a hotel, and activities are confirmed based on number of interested hotel guests, group size limits, waitlists and more. Not to mention, hotel guides conduct these large group outings (they're not private to you) which can often take away from the overall experience. Our guided safaris include a private Quasar Guide – who is not only your local naturalist immersing you in the national parks, and showing you remote areas that hotel buses and vans cannot access – but also acts as your personal concierge for the duration of your trip too. Quasar activities and excursions for each chosen safari are decided by our Guests well in advance of travel to ensure all activities are confirmed before arrival. Because of this, our Guests have the pleasure of avoiding the possibility of not going on a desired excursion, waiting in long lines to board vans, missing out on more remote/secluded areas hotel excursions can't access, etc. On a Quasar safari, you get to choose your preferred excursions before you go and design a personal adventure that is as active, or as relaxed, as you want it to be! So, we are truly glad that you and your travel companions made the decision to journey with us in our private Jeeps. It's the best way to experience all of the the magic that Patagonia has to offer. In regards to the canceled kayaking trip for your friends, unfortunately that was out of our control as it's managed by a third party service provider that handles all activities on the ice at Glacier Bay. We took the time to reach out to their Travel Agent to see what happened and issued a refund immediately. Per their Agent, The Waldmans were very pleased. Again, we thank you for taking the time to give us your honest feedback about your experience! “Gustavo and Walter, where are guides and they were absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable about everything in Galápagos and were very inclusive and warm and welcoming and making sure we were all included in the activities. The food was absolutely fantastic and the entire boat crew was beyond incredible. I have never been more taken care of and spoiled in my life. Thank you so very much for an incredibly special trip. “Every aspect of our trip was top notch, guide and hotel in Quito, our adventure in the Galapagos, the science, wildlife above and below the water, the crew, the food, the naturalist guides, and Yacht Grace, very very special experience, wrapped up in a lovely hacienda nature preserve, couldn't have asked for more”

“My wife and I just completed a 9-day Guided Patagonia Safari (Dec 2022) and we enjoyed it tremendously. The scenery is spectacular and our guide (Trisha H.) was fabulous. We were fortunate that on our first day in the Torres de Paine National Park we spotted a puma on a hill, casually eyeing the tourists below. He was a good distance away but, with binoculars, we could see him perfectly. In Torres del Paine (Chile) we got an up-close look at the Lago Grey glacier, which is receding, while at Los Glaciares National Park (Argentina) we went right up to the Perito Moreno glacier, which is one of the few that’s growing. Hiking, glaciers, animals, horseback riding, scenery; a very worthwhile trip.”

“All the guess work was taken out as a result all time spent was “quality time”. The number of excursions and intensity was just right. The guides patient and knowledgeable. The meals were a good mix of Ecuador Ian cuisine and American fare that looked fresh, were nutritious and tasty to sustain us through our planned excursions. Guests were intellectual and serious about the subject which was perfect for me. The 16 couples/ 42 person boat was just the right size for us to get to know each other. I can see myself continuing to keep in touch with several of them after the trip. I would highly recommend this adventure cruise company without any hesitation.”

“Our Galapagos cruise on the Quasar Evolution yacht was amazing and completely met all our expectations. Everything about the itinerary, activities and logistics was well planned and executed. The crew and guides were outstanding and we loved the more intimate size of the ship that allowed us to have personal attention and get to know the other passengers. Overall excellent trip and highly recommend.”

“From morning to night, all they want to do is make this experience the best. We saw more nature on a daily basis than 3 days at SeaWorld. The food is gourmet and the expert baker will satisfy all of your baking desires. The croissants are delicious. The guides are amazing. They will inform you and entertain you. The whole crew are so attuned to making everyday special. The boat was the perfect size and very comfortable. No matter how old or young you are, you will enjoy this experience. I travel extensively, and this trip was in my top 2. Enjoy!”

“Amazing. This is our second trip this year with Quasar. The 1st on the Grace and this time the Evolution. We did a different route each time, once in June and then again in November, Both experiences were 5 star. Don’t get hung up on the time of year or which yacht, just go with Quasar and you will have the time of your life!”

“It was a seamless and exhilarating trip from Diane in SF to the entire crew of the Evolution. The naturalists were knowledgeable and exuberant and brought the Galapagos details to us with enthusiasm. I very much appreciated the reverence for the natural world and conservation. So many unique moments! The crew was professional, attentive and very personable! My only complaint was the handling of the bar tab. I was charged for 2 drinks that I positively know that neither I nor my roommates ordered and when I questioned the charges, I was not given any resolution.”

“The trip was wonderful. Tasha Williams helped us organize the trip from start to finish. We were met at every step by a guide/driver or both. The Quasar smartphone app with day by day guidance is very useful and well done. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and responsive to our specific requests (special kudos to Marco Rosso, who guided us all through Patagonia and to Rabbi Ernesto Yattah who gave us great insight into the history of Buenos Aires and Argentina). When the weather forced a change in plans, it was handled smoothly so we didn’t miss anything. The hotels (gold level) were wonderful (photo is view from our room at Tierra Patagonia hotel). And as a bonus we visited Santiago and Buenos Aires, both well worth the visit. I recommend the Quasar Patagonia safari without reservation.”

“The experience was fantastic. Galapagos is a magical place and getting to know it by traveling on Quasar cruises is the best decision I have made. I have taken both cruises and stayed a few days on the Islands after the last one. Without a doubt, the cruise experience is the best way to get to know the islands and Quasar cruises are the best in Galapagos. They have the best guides and the best routes. Their guides address all the different approaches of interest: geological, geographical, historical, biological and, of course, evolutionary and they explain them clearly while you go through those wonderful landscapes and get in touch with the wild nature. Both cruises -on both, the Grace and Evolution yachts- were wonderful and exceeded all my expectations. Thank You!”

“A trip of a lifetime!!! So glad we decided to go with Quasar. From the initial steps of planning the trip, all the way to a flawless execution. Tasha was a fantastic resource in planning the safari according to our interests. The organization and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. Everything worked like a clock. We met Rodrigo at the designated time at the Tiera Patagonia hotel and were impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. The Jeep was in great condition and was very well equipped. From a satellite phone, GPS, tracker, first-aid kit and all the way to a picnic set, cooler and even water, trail mix and snacks. This trip allowed us to be completely independent and flexible, and modify our itinerary ad hoc according to our wishes bringing into consideration even factors such as weather and hiking trail conditions. We had our safari at the end of October. I defiantly recommend having it this time of year, as we avoided the summer crowds and the heat. Thank you Quasar team for an unforgettable experience!!!”
