Service has been slipping lately as have stock levels, not good for business. (Missing items). Happily as always the staff on the other end of the phone are always perfect and almost immediately resolve any problems. Delivery in the main is almost always "Rapid" as it should be but waiting times of weeks and months for some bits is simply unacceptable. I'll continue to be a loyal customer for me as well as when at work!

I have no problems with Rapid's service in general, but do question their choice of delivery methods sometimes. I recently placed an order which included several types of watch batteries. Some were out of stock and arrived a few days later. I received two separate deliveries by courier vans, each containing a single watch button-cell weighing a couple of grammes and worth about £1 and packed in large cardboard boxes with loads of packing. These could have been posted as letters in small Jiffy bags (as Rapid used to do) instead of clogging up our lanes with courier vans on ridiculous journeys delivering the square root of sod-all. Not very cost effective and not very green.

Have used Rapid now for a number of years and always found them to be reliable with prices comparable to other suppliers. Like the fact you can schedule orders.

Although now a 77-year old pensioner, I have dealt with you since the days your 'catalogue' consisted of a couple of sheets of A4 !! I was a physics/electronics teacher before retirement 20 years ago this month. I have also been a life-long radio amateur, and despite eyesight not being quite as good as it was, I continue building various items associated with the hobby, as well as restoring some vintage equipment... I recently had fairly urdgent need for some higher wattage resistors. You always deliver rapidly ( excuse the pun) but I felt that the postage for a few small resistors was sopmewhat excessive - they copuld easily have been put in an ordinary envelope and sent 2nd class for 52p ! Anyway, just my opinion on this occasion...I appreciate you cannot price postage individually....It would be nice though if you adopted Farnell/CPC's policy of FREE postage when ordered 'on-line'.. I also appreciate that for you, this was a tiny, insignificant order! Thanks and kind regards from the Scottish Borders André SAUNDERS

Ordered components on Saturday and they were here by Tuesday, the P & P was a bit costly for the weight.

delivery next day, excellent, unfortunately, very expensive. You did not have the exact part I required and I had to adapt the part supplied to fit the pcb.

I would have rated as Very Good were it not for slowness in making invoices available. The web site is first class and slick, delivery is incredibly fast and the goods are exactly as advertised. Whenever I have needed to phone them, they have been polite, professional and genuinely interested in helping me. Thank you Rapid!

The actual goods delivered were top quality and well packed. No complaints there. Where I do have a problem is with the process. I was notified that the goods were being delivered by the carrier - not by Rapid. The emails from Rapid that I presume were telling me about delivery and order status never arrived because they were rejected by my mail servers. Why ? Well Rapid send their emails with an address of noreply@rapidelec.co.uk. This address doesn't exist - sending emails with non-existent reply addresses is a well known spammer trick so the email is rejected. It's a shame really, Rapid are a professional organisation and should know better. And yes I could whitelist the address but why should I make changes to my systems to correct problems with somebody else's ? And yes again - I have raised the issue with Rapid in the past and they haven't done anything.

Service from Rapid was excellent, however they were badly let down by UKMail their carrier. Booked & paid for a next day delivery & it didn't arrive. Rapid requested an am delivery the day after as a gesture of good will & the parcel arrived at 3.30pm! Good supplier let down by a lousy courier service.

All the components are excellent and well packaged, however, I ordered them the same day as I ordered things from personal users on Ebay, the guys from ebay delivered a few days quicker.

Prices usually quite keen and delivery quick. Occasionally out-of-stock items are delayed and they don't always tell you when that happens. Good website and fairly easy to find what you're after and good respomse to emails.

Dear Sirs The ordering and delivery process were good. However we ordered two Pritt Sticks unfortunately one of them is completely dry and not usable at all. Great website. Excellent range of products at very competitive prices. Unfortunately, my last two deliveries were left on my doorstep as I was at work. Not good at all. That's a couple of hundred quids worth of stuff left in plain view for anyone to walk off with. If you used the Royal Mail as your delivery company then I would expect to buy from you more often, as a failed delivery means that I simply have to drop down to the Post Office depot to pick up the parcel. Therefore I will only buy from you again if I can guarantee being in.

I bought two Raspberry Pis, but it was impossible to find a listing for the necessary micro SD cards. How come you don't sell those as well?

Everything supplied as per order. Unfortunately some of teh items required were on a long lead time forcing me to go elsewhere for the items required.
