They do not give you a refund on all the money spent with them or a warning that they are closing your account.
Trades people do not sign up for this they will take your money and kick you out to make way for new trade with more money to spend.”
“i was on rated people for 6 years but lately it has gone down hill lead prices are too much, you ring a potential customer they dont answer, or job has already been done when it came to my app its difficult to get your lead money back, i was able to leave at my renewal date then they gave me a free trial for 2 weeks with some lead money tried it still rubbish no change so no thanks it just the same no answer to calls or jobs been done”
“If I have to grade the work and the individual who sad he was qualified there wouldn't be one!! We have been left after he demanded payment even before he started the work without a bath,toilet,shower or wash basins. Nothing is connected up after 3weeks.. shame on you for posting his profile saying he had all sorts of qualifications. You couldn't have checked.”
“Discraceful, shameless, extortionate, liers, fraudsters, not sure how else to discribe rated people, all I can say in do not trust them! and for crist sake to do give them your bank details, 90 % of job leads are fake, some have cost me £60+ pounds that's on top of the £300 subscription, you can try to request a job lead credit back but they are always denied with no explanation why, you get charged for job leads you didn't even click on straight out of you bank account which could be as much a £150 a job! And Cannot even speak to anyone to explain what is happening or to cancel your account! instead of getting the desperately needed work I needed I've been fruaded out of hundreds of pounds, please do not fall for there lies! it begs believe how they are getting away with this most likely some cleverly worded small print, they need to be investigated.”

“I am a trade person, and try work with this company. So, they just take your money give acess to the platform and provide to you FAKE leads, so I spend 142£ and get back 0. No any work no money back. And when you buy the lead for 35£ and you try contact that custommer usualy you get ansver we don't need any trade person, to do any job. So they just play aroud, with phone numbers.

“Put a request on rated people for a tree surgeon. Same day we were rung by an Ashley Collins who came round and said he would reduce the height of our oak tree by 40ft and take away the resulting cuttings/wood etc. for £500. We agreed this. He came later that day with only a ladder and a saw, he had to borrow a saw and ropes from us to complete the job. Job done he then refused to take away the cuttings/wood unless we paid him another £200 or £150 if we would load his van ourselves. We are nearing 70 and declined this offer. He then got quite stroppy as he wanted the money paid directly into the bank but our computer was playing up so we had to give him a cheque which was made out to a Paul Taylor his boss. We are still awaiting the receipt nearly 2 months later. We then had to hire a skip for £110 which took us 3 days to fill and chop up the remaining wood etc. Got on to rated people who told us the person who took on the job was actually called Brian Mc Donag. Apparently this person is conveniently no longer on their books so they cannot help. Beware people, there's a lot of cowboys out there and going to a site such as rated people doesn't guarantee you won't become a victim sadly.”
“I recently had a bad experience with a trader and left negative comments and feedback. It seems that Rated People didn't like this and said that it was against their terms etc... To me it looks like negative comments and ratings affects their ability to get new traders to buy jobs from their site so they don't allow this. If a customer has had a good or bad experience they should be free to review accordingly and give an honest opinion. It seems like Rated People only want good reviews so more people use their services and in some cases cowboy and dodgy tradespeople. I will not be using their services again.”

I had a dispute with a trade person and left a negative review but the VQ Team remove my review and said I cannot post any bad reviews. The review was well under their policy guidance but still they rejected it. Also, you never receive 3 quotes.. I created three jobs and only received 1 quote for each..

“Atrocious customer service. Had new gutters fitted by someone who, I found out later,had stolen a dairy farmer's identity. Terrible job and I need to replace the gutters. Rated People will not speak to me in the phone,only by email and the person who I was dealing with,who wouldn't give their name, told me that the matter is closed. Really difficult to escalate my complaint but I will keep trying.”
“Tradesmen or contractors aren't verified and are allowed to scam people even with their invalid email addresses shown on their accounts.
Do not use this shameful app.
Had to involve police and probably I would have to involve the court too in case I find the scammer.
I would probably never see the money I paid the false tradesman on their app.

“They charge silly prices per job and have no interest in refunding that money back when they job poster shows no interest in actually wanting the work done. Robot humans answer the phones at rayed people callcentre and read from a script, constantly repeating the same things about 20 percent limits and never actually helping or acknowledging that ive been sold a bad lead/fake lead. Terrible company, greedy and dishonest.”
“An absolute scam, do not ever use. The customer services do nothing but refuse to help and carry on charging you for a service that provides literally nothing. I have had to fold up my company due to these uncertain times and Rated People refuse to cancel my subscription (which I have never received a job from in 9months and been paying £72 each month). The government need to look at scam companies like this”
“Very poor. Their contractor took down payment, did no work and failed to return down payment. Now gone to court to recover.
Rated people did nothing to resolve, even when advised that their contractor was advertised falsely on their site, and clearly had not been checked and verified recently as he had a compulsory winding up order against him..
Despite Rated People being aware of this they continue to promote him.”
