“Where do I start I am a tradesman that has been with you from the beginning. There seems to be no loyalty for that just a kick in the teeth every time! Inflated prices for jobs that don’t exist! Hardly any jobs in Jan and Feb and the jobs you let people post are ludicrous and never vetted! I pay good money to you for Mickey Mouse type jobs! I’m not bob a job I am a professional painter decorator and builder! I’m sick of seeing jobs saying! My wife bodged up painting the kitchen so I want someone to finish it for £90! Absolute disgrace!”

“OK, After 10 years of being a member of Rated People as a Trade, its time for a giving them review! Let's start with positives than unfortunately for them are totally covered by negative and that why one star from me as scale it's not from 1-100 stars. I think after that long time I have the right to comment on them. Positives: 1. Absolutely amazing website and the app are done by professionals, easy to navigate, quickly responding with great design and coloristic. 2. Great idea of running a business. Negatives: 1. Rated People team will not remove customer comments from your account even if its obsessive, vulgar, not fair, simply criminal and racists. 2. Hundreds of false leads that cost between £10-60 each. 3. Extending contracts without informing trade. I have done around 500 jobs in total using just Rated People site for 10 years' time. I have spent thousands of pounds on the leads and earned around £70k only as 90 percent of the customers from that website looking for a bargain and not professionals that they can't afford. If I would start my business one more time, then all my investments would go into SEO and organic website positioning that is far more efficient with getting a job. It's very sad that after 10 years of working with them, they can treat you in a very bad and unfair way. They decided to lay, ignore and keep the side of racist and someone that promoting criminality behavior using swearing language and threatening language on trade public profile, that is running under name and surname. “Have been a tradesman client with them for years. You buy a job (on average over £20) and then hope that the job is genuine. Once a lady called Nadia posted a job for which I paid £42.00. After emailing her several times and calling(also several times with leaving voicemails) I got no response. The worst thing was when the voicemail message from the number supplied starts it says in a young deep male voice "Yo, what's up" So it makes me think that they fabricated this job just to get people to spend money. And they have this policy that they wouldn't give you a refund, so you feel cheated.”

“I submitted well specified jobs on several occasions for work in several different locations and didn't receive any interest from any traders at any time. I have now done background reading on the business model of the site and if appears there are fundamental issues of trust from traders and clients alike, which would explain the lack of interest in my jobs. In summary, Rated People promised quotes and failed to deliver, thereby delaying the start of my jobs.”

“The last two times that I used Rated People I only received 1 response for each of the two jobs I posted. In both cases the respondents to these two posted jobs were very quick to turn up and quote a discounted price provided they could start the job immediately (The reason given being they already working in the area or had some 'spare time' between one job ending and another job starting!) Both traders came recommended according to reviews on Rated People's site. In both cases there were problems with keeping to initial quotes for the work after it commenced and in one case the tradesmen were threatening and abusive. Although I have used Rated People successfully on a number of occasions I shall no longer be using their services since I do not believe they vet tradesmen effectively and I believe that some reviews posted may be bogus. I also hear from trades people that they pay excessively to 'buy' these jobs from Rated People which may also serve as an impediment to the quality of the work they subsequently provide. I shall now rely on word of mouth recommendations from local people when deciding to employ tradespeople.”

“Let’s put it simple ;Rated people always always somehow finds a new way to rip off poor tradesmen ,Also they really hate in replying to tradesmen especially when it comes to dealing with bogus leads etc .So rated people needs to work on those issues for the genuine traders .thats the only reason tradesmen have lost their interest in it ..”

“Be very careful using this site as the site does not post the bad reviews for any companies. I have had a terrible experience with a company very recently which I found on rated People. I reviewed the company and gave it a 1 star rating. Expecting this to be posted so everybody can see my review, rated people decided not to make it public. I have sent e-mails to rated people asking the question why the review has not been posted but 2 weeks later no answer. The platform that connects trades to customers is not neutral and only posts of 4 or 5 star reviews, not giving the customer a balanced view of the trade companies. Will not be using Rated People in the future as they are happy to hide the truth.”

“M&n carpet service Muhamad , the work was ok , he quoted the Job ,he came and laid the stair carpet ,then said he should have Quoted more because it was stripes ,it was just stairs and small landing , which did not need any joins, he made arrangements for the next visit bedroom 1 he did not turn up ,I was unable to contact him he did not answer his phone all day ,my grandson Finally managed to get him the next day . After he was told he Would not get any money until he had finished the job completely He again asked for more money as he had to by glue which he had not included in his quote it was the most stressful couple of days Ever , he spent most of his time with his phone stuck to his ear Please do not use this company his name should be removed from The lists of all agencies he is signed with”

“We hired through 'Rated People' Lee of 'William Witney, Proserve Building Solutions' to replace the old guttering of the house. The work was completed to what we thought was a good standard and therefore the bill was settled in full. However, a few months later we began to have repeated problems with the guttering. We contacted Lee and he said he would attend the following week to repair the problem, but on the date agreed, he did not show up. This occurred two more times, where a member of the household had had to stay in for the whole day on the date agreed and Lee did not show up without as much as a phone call to inform us. Since then, we have tried contacting Lee on a weekly basis, asking him to honour the guarantee he provided and carry out the necessary repairs, but to no avail. This is going on for three months !!! As Lee has completely cut of communication with us we hired an other tradesperson, which informed us that the problems occurred because Lee had not replaced three sections of the old guttering. We are very disappointed with Lee of William Witney, Proserve Building Solutions, as we will have to pay again for the same job !!! Kiki from Finchley”

“Placed job on site, then accepted quote from personal reference. Before I had a chance to withdraw job, phone rang. Thanked him for ringing, but told him job gone. He became very angry immediately, told me he had to pay site £25 for lead. Found out later if I confirmed he didn`t get chanced to quote, wouldn`t be charged. He knew this, as he applied for it. Shouted at me I would pay him the £25. I said I wouldn`t, and he said I would, and he knew where I lived. Which, thanks to rated people, he did. Called police, it`s being investigated. not giving name just now because of this. No phone number for Rated People Reply to e-mail said they didn`t read them! sent me to other page, which wouldn`t load. Never again.”

“Realy bad service for trades. If you are looking for customers, do not use Rated People. We have paid hundreds for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Be warned: Once your test period ends there is no chance of you canceling their "service"! If you are not happy with them, they will eventually give you some credit to use on leads but t99% of their leads are not real. The only way to get rid of Rated People is to pay IN FULL the outstanding amount of your contract and walk awat empty handed. Stay away!”

“I have had a very bad experirnce with one of the tradesmen from Tated People. The Company I contracted to fit my brand new kitchen was a total disaster: I sent an amail by without any help fro Rated People. The tradesman blocked my calls, took my money without any paper work given to me. I got very ill over it. I was advised to take a ligal action against the Company. Total nightmare”

“Absolute joke of a company, if your a tradesmen do not waste your time as you will be giving them money for nothing. You buy leads to get jobs and the people posting there jobs dont even reply to you, so you end up losing your money due to these time wasters. Dont bother trying to get a refund because you wont as the customer service is beyond poor. Without tradesmen they have no business, sadly they dont act like this is the case.”

“Scam artists! Avoid! If you're trade person please stay away from them. They will promise you alot to sign a contract with you but hardly give you a quarter from promising. You can't brake the contract and have to pay remaining months. And now the best part, they selling you a FAKE leads and act with you like a robot's. So save your money and stay away from fraud company!”

“Very disappointed with their company. I can be live how they treat tradesmen. People who work on they success. They are the biggest scam I ever meet . STAY AWAY IF YOU ARE TRADESMEN. They jobs leads not genuine and you can't get money back . They only care about their money . Costumer service useless.”

“You can find good trade people . But this is it . The company it's a big mistake . The worst company to work with. They are stilling money from tradesmen. The leads are not genuine. You cant even get the money back . Costumer service useless. Can't help with nothing .They care only about them self and money they take from tradesmen . Really disappointed. I spoke with many trade people and everyone say it's a scam . So if you trade person STAY AWAY. Don't give them opportunity to con you.”

“If you are a trade-person do not use RATED PEOPLE! it's a scam. once you sign the agreement with them, you have to pay for 1 year plan!!! you can't cancel the agreement! be very careful!”
