“Be very careful using this site as the site does not post the bad reviews for any companies. I have had a terrible experience with a company very recently which I found on rated People. I reviewed the company and gave it a 1 star rating. Expecting this to be posted so everybody can see my review, rated people decided not to make it public. I have sent e-mails to rated people asking the question why the review has not been posted but 2 weeks later no answer. The platform that connects trades to customers is not neutral and only posts of 4 or 5 star reviews, not giving the customer a balanced view of the trade companies. Will not be using Rated People in the future as they are happy to hide the truth.”

“We hired through 'Rated People' Lee of 'William Witney, Proserve Building Solutions' to replace the old guttering of the house.
The work was completed to what we thought was a good standard and therefore the bill was settled in full. However, a few months later we began to have repeated problems with the guttering.
We contacted Lee and he said he would attend the following week to repair the problem, but on the date agreed, he did not show up. This occurred two more times, where a member of the household had had to stay in for the whole day on the date agreed and Lee did not show up without as much as a phone call to inform us.
Since then, we have tried contacting Lee on a weekly basis, asking him to honour the guarantee he provided and carry out the necessary repairs, but to no avail. This is going on for three months !!!
As Lee has completely cut of communication with us we hired an other tradesperson, which informed us that the problems occurred because Lee had not replaced three sections of the old guttering.
We are very disappointed with Lee of William Witney, Proserve Building Solutions, as we will have to pay again for the same job !!!

“Placed job on site, then accepted quote from personal reference. Before I had a chance to withdraw job, phone rang. Thanked him for ringing, but told him job gone. He became very angry immediately, told me he had to pay site £25 for lead. Found out later if I confirmed he didn`t get chanced to quote, wouldn`t be charged. He knew this, as he applied for it. Shouted at me I would pay him the £25. I said I wouldn`t, and he said I would, and he knew where I lived. Which, thanks to rated people, he did. Called police, it`s being investigated. not giving name just now because of this. No phone number for Rated People Reply to e-mail said they didn`t read them! sent me to other page, which wouldn`t load. Never again.”

Be warned: Once your test period ends there is no chance of you canceling their "service"! If you are not happy with them, they will eventually give you some credit to use on leads but t99% of their leads are not real. The only way to get rid of Rated People is to pay IN FULL the outstanding amount of your contract and walk awat empty handed.

“I have had a very bad experirnce with one of the tradesmen from Tated People. The Company I contracted to fit my brand new kitchen was a total disaster: I sent an amail by without any help fro Rated People. The tradesman blocked my calls, took my money without any paper work given to me. I got very ill over it. I was advised to take a ligal action against the Company. Total nightmare”

You buy leads to get jobs and the people posting there jobs dont even reply to you, so you end up losing your money due to these time wasters. Dont bother trying to get a refund because you wont as the customer service is beyond poor.

“Rated people are a disgraceful company who take advantage of tradesmen.
Look at all the positive reviews, they are mainly reviewing the tradesmen not the service.
I signed up as a tradesmen and after interrogating the salesperson he finally admitted that I could cancel within 14 days. He tried to avoid answering and instead he kept reiterating that it was a 12 month contract and the whole amount would be payable if I wished to leave. At this point I decided not to go through with the purchase as I was fed up with the sales person I had been speaking to.
The next day I stupidly phoned again and spoke to another sales person, this time I asked if the credits I spent (you receive credits up to the monthly membership price) would be refunded if I canceled within 14 days, she said yes, not once but multiple times. I reiterated the point as I wanted to be certain that I could try the service and receive a full refund if it wasn't as expected (it certainly wasn't).
Its now a month later and I'm chasing my money that Rated People have fraudulently stole, I've received one call back and the investigator has blatantly lied and said the sales person (beth) never said what I am claiming. Im actually quite sickened that a company this size will go this far out of their way to avoid refunding an honest customer, especially with the length of their deceit.
An other lie I was told when singing up is that lead prices are 'solely' based on a jobs worth, within several minutes of using the service it was obvious this is not the case. Jobs that are worth 'Under £100) can be as high as £12-13, now when you think the job may actually only be worth £50 and rated people sell the lead to 3 tradesmen their is only ever one winner.
I could go on about this company for hours but its not good for my blood pressure.
In conclusion.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!”
