Overall: Excellent stay and everybody enjoyed themselves. Enjoyed Most: Lovely lounge, great outside areas for a large (9 person) group. Lovely garden leading out onto the village square, plenty of room for parking. Nice pool area with nice size swimming pool. Nicely furnished and decorated in keeping with the period of the property. Enjoyed Least: The kitchen area was a little small, no problem for us but if the weather was not so good then you would have to use the dining table in the lounge. The bathroom facilities are adequate only, some of the bathrooms only had a bath with a hand held shower which wasn't ideal. The majority of the bedrooms were a good size. Surrounding Area: Fantastic location, beautiful non-touristy village with wonderfully friendly people. Great local produce from the few (but enough) shops in the village, if needed a supermarket is just over a five minute drive away. Easy drives to fantastic locations, Avignon, Isles Sur La Sorgue, Gordes, Pont de Gard to name a few. Nearby Events or Locales: Cabrieres D'Avignon. The property is right in the village next to the village church, lovely walking through the village at any time but especially at dusk when the street lights are just coming on. Restaurant and shops within minutes walk. Tips or Restaurants: Bring soap. There are many, many restaurants in Isles Sur La Sorgue about 15 minutes away, all running alongside the river that runs through the town. If you want to stay in, the local butcher has plenty of local produce and makes his own delicatessen meat dishes and terrines. He also makes spit roasted chickens but ask him to take the head and feet off, this with some cheese and olives from the local shop (try the french beer) and fresh bread from the bakery--a meal fit for a king! Directions: We did use a GPS and had no problems finding the property. Check In Out: Check in, check out was easy. Owner greeted us on arrival and said goodbye on departure. All easy with no problems.

Overall: Wonderful. Enjoyed Most: Hosts Lapo, his wife, and daughters were a wonderful bonus. Directions: Coordinates are incorrect; we used GPS.

Overall: Very pleasant - relaxing. Managers who greeted us were really nice . Enjoyed Most: Spacious bedrooms. Well appointed living-kitchen area and outdoor area. Enjoyed Least: There was nothing we disliked. Surrounding Area: Enjoyed the old town environment. The main pedestrian street of the town was just around the corner from the house. Nearby Events or Locales: We were around the corner from the old town of Alacati. Very handy. Tips or Restaurants: We used this as a base to visit Ephesus - this is a day trip. Well worth seeing. Visited Cesme a few times and lucky enough to see an international kite surfing competition. Did a day trip about 4.5hrs - driving around the peninsula, Hasseki, Karaburun, etc. Really enjoyed seeing rural Turkey on this coast.

Overall: Fantastic! Like new property, bright and clean and wonderful. Enjoyed Most: The sitting area outside was darling. Enjoyed Least: Couldn't figure out that it was an induction stovetop for a little while. Surrounding Area: Close to lots of charming towns. Easy to catch the train. Nearby Events or Locales: Sciano and Certaldo. Sciano just has a pizzeria but it's walkable. Certaldo is 10 mins by car. Tips or Restaurants: Plan to stay at the property and hang out. It's a great location. This villa has all the amenities a US family would expect and want. Directions: Use a GPS. Call the owner, she is very helpful in finding it, especially the last few turns, which are poorly marked. Check In Out: No, Elizabeth was wonderful and flexible.

Overall: We loved La Musiquette! We couldn't have chosen a better property for our 2 week stay in Paris! Enjoyed Most: The property was beautiful. It was decorated nicely and was extremely comfortable. Surrounding Area: The location was perfect! Close to shops, outdoor cafes and the subway. Tips or Restaurants: Every restaurant we chose was wonderful! When looking for a place to dine, I'd suggest exploring the area as many good choices are very close to the property.

Overall: We are home now and want to let you know that we had a very enjoyable stay at our rental. The house was very comfortable, the weather perfect, the pool GREAT, the countryside beautiful. Everyone had a great time. The dinner on the 7th went fine. We were all on the terrace overlooking the Luberon Mountains and it was a fabulous evening. Yousef, our chef, was great, and he hired a singer, photographer, and rented tables and set-ups for our group. It was a wonderful 25th Anniversary. Enjoyed Most: The pool and the countryside. Enjoyed Least: The only problem we had was almost complete lack of Internet service, and we had really counted on that. Long story, but we felt the problem could have been fixed if we had someone who could unlock the office door to restart the modem. Even when we finally did get the system restarted, it only worked for about a day and then went out again.

Overall: This was one of the best places we have rented. It is to be highly recommended. Enjoyed Most: It's in a beautiful location, surrounded by wonderful countryside. It was extremely quiet they even turn off the church bells at night! and with few cars on the roads it made for excellent walking and in my case, running. The owners are delightful and have done a superb job of renovating the property. It is exceptionally well equipped and brilliantly designed with beautiful touches. The main building is equally well appointed suitable for 4 or 8 people and because of the thoughtful design each is secluded from the other. Enjoyed Least: The only thing I can come up with is that there was no place to hang our coats and walking boots downstairs, which in the summer is not going to be an issue! As it was the end of the summer, there were a few very dozy wasps around the grape vines on the back of the house which for those fearful of them might be an issue. Surrounding Area: It was absolute bliss to wander along the quiet country lanes around the property and running at sunrise was gorgeous - we live in Bahrain where it's nothing but sand so you can imagine how wonderful it was for us! There is an amazing monolithic underground church at Auberterre sure Dronne which is 9km away and walkable if you're feeling energetic. Nearby Events or Locales: The nearest town is probably St Auyale about 4km away. It has everything, including a post office, but watch out for the opening hours! We usually went to the supermarket in whatever town we were in on the way home. Intermarche seems to be the main chain in the region and has everything you need. Plus there are a myriad of specialist shops in virtually every village you visit and a market some where on most days of the week particularly in the summer, so we were told. Tips or Restaurants: There's a lovely restaurant in Chalais in the old chateau. As we went off season many of the places recommended by the owners were shut but we did notice a place up the road in Les Essards which looked OK 4km up the road. Cooking at home was easy as the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. St Emilion and the surrounding area is glorious. And we'd recommend a trip to see the largest sand dunes in Europe on the coast west of Bordeaux at Arcachon. We had a lovely lunch in a place in the square at Auberterre. A trip to Bordeaux is worthwhile. We spent our first night there in a boutique hotel. The old town is lovely and there are lots of shopping options for those last minute gifts. Check In Out: We were a bit disappointed to have to pay 50 Euros for cleaning. We felt this could have been included in the rental fee. For those who think the 500 euro deposit is high, it is such a beautifully and luxuriously appointed place I now see why the deposit was such!

Overall: We did enjoy our stay at this lovely property. We all had a wonderful holiday, and the best part was the week in Chenaud. We will certainly add this home to our list of places to which we hope to make a return visit and we are letting our friends know what a wonderful spot it is. Enjoyed Most: The weather was quite kind to us and we enjoyed having our meals out doors at various locations around the property.

Overall: The house had all the amenities of our home in America. The dishes, glasses and cooking utensils were clean and very nice, almost new. Enjoyed Most: The views from the patio and having meals out there as well. Enjoyed Least: The parking space was not large enough for the car we had so we parked across the street. Surrounding Area: The house was centrally located to the major highways to do day trips whether to Nice, St Raphael or Avignon. Nearby Events or Locales: The nearest small town was Port Grimaud and it was not in walking distance. Tips or Restaurants: Ask for additional bath towels as we were there for a week and had to use one bath towel. We found out that we could have gotten extra towels for an additional cost. Directions: Directions were spot on and we did not use a GPS. Check In Out: It was smooth including the late arrival.

Overall: Excellent, with good support from the local agency. Enjoyed Most: Facilities. Enjoyed Least: Lack of written instructions for the washing machine, dishwasher, and using stove/oven. Surrounding Area: Neighborhood. Nearby Events or Locales: Melaggio on walking distance. Tips or Restaurants: Restaurants are very good in town and in nearby villages.

Overall: Wonderful. This is my second June stay with RentVillas and it was perfect. Enjoyed Most: Modern; clean; easily accessible; lovely area. Enjoyed Least: I still have trouble with the washerdryer combination--not easy to dry clothes. Surrounding Area: The overall ambience, the restaurants, the stores, and its central location. Nearby Events or Locales: Paris Tips or Restaurants: Nothing special Directions: I did not use nor did I need a GPS. It was easy to get there. Check In Out: No--it is well done.

Overall: We absolutely loved it. It was paradise. Enjoyed Most: The views cannot be captured on film. Just stunning. We were also quite partial to the caretakers who live on the property. Surrounding Area: It's not a touristy area. Very beautiful. Nearby Events or Locales: Spoleto is 6 miles away. Tips or Restaurants: We enjoyed eating at Capanno, Palazzo di Papa, and L'Angolo Antico in Spoleto.

Overall: We had a great time in the villa. The villa is very secluded and quiet, creating an oasis for us. We thoroughly enjoyed the area as well. Enjoyed Most: Anna and Felice keep the place very clean and orderly all around. The views were fabulous we enjoyed the sunsets and the stars many nights. The pools were the best feature of the property - especially the children's pool for our kids The pictures of the pool do not do it justice. Enjoyed Least: The kitchen was functional, but small if we had had another family besides our two families of four. As it was, it was fine. There needs to be instructions for the appliances, including the washing machine, Satellite TV (plenty of sex channels, but short on children's shows), and the AC. While Anna and Felice were great hosts, they do not speak English so be prepared to meet them halfway with Italian. Surrounding Area: We loved the access to the beach of Castiglione della Pescaia and the southern Tuscany town of Pitigliano, the hot springs Saturnia, and island Monte Argentario. The villa was located fairly closely to the SS1 so getting to other cities was fairly easy. Nearby Events or Locales: The closest town was Montiano and not within walking distance. There is a small grocery store there to get some supplies. Other close towns included Respezia, Alberese and Montelione del Toscana each within 5-15km. Tips or Restaurants: There was very little to bring. There was laundry detergent and dishwashing liquid and the bathrooms were well stocked with toiletries as in a hotel. Bug spray is a must. In terms of restaurants, we loved Il Fontanina in Monte Argentario and also loved Trattoria Toscana in Castiglione della Pescaia an Alain Ducasse Michelin one star restaurant. Lastly, we loved the Maremma style meal that Anna and Felice cooked for us, but beware of the cost for children. While I understand the reason for minimums and the 25 euro cost per child, it seemed excessive for what they really ate...that being said, 40 euro for adults for a private meal was worth it given the volume and quality of the food and hospitality. Directions: We thought the directions were fine, but we could not find the town nor the property on our Garmin GPS. Beware that the dirt road is relatively long...and with frequent trips can be a good amount of wear and tear on your car. Check In Out: Anna greeted us warmly and tried as best she could to show us around. No issues at all.

Overall: Our experience was fantastic. The owners could not have been nicer and more helpful. The property was well-maintained and the pictures on the website did not do the property justice. I would definitely stay there again. Enjoyed Most: The beautiful setting and how well-kept the property is. We loved the gorgeous view and the comfortable furnishings. Everything was fantastic. Enjoyed Least: It was tough to get up the hill to the property and back down again. After a few times it was easier. Surrounding Area: Cortona was a neat little hill town and it was easy to get to many of the other Tuscan hill towns. Nearby Events or Locales: Cortona. It would have been a tough walk bc of the hills. Tips or Restaurants: We ate at several of Rick Steves' recommended restaurants in Cortona and they were all very good. Directions: The property owners met us at the little market a mile or so away from the house and that helped. More signs would certainly be needed if you were doing it alone for the first time.

Overall: Tuscany at its best, staff treated us like family and the villa was outstanding. Enjoyed Most: Location. Enjoyed Least: The hill to the laundry room. Surrounding Area: The view and the people. Nearby Events or Locales: San Gimignano. Tips or Restaurants: Bring a set wash cloths.

Overall: Very happy; would go again. Enjoyed Most: Great location; nicely decorated; spacious; optional dinners. Enjoyed Least: Dusty in Tuscany; small shower. Surrounding Area: Beautiful, spectacular views of olive trees, vineyards. Nearby Events or Locales: San Gimignano too far and dusty to walk; took son 30 min to run to San Gimignano. Tips or Restaurants: For 6 Euros you can use their beach towels for the week. PAM was open on Sundays.

Overall: A great place to stay with a family. Our daughter made lots of friends around the pool. Enjoyed Most: It was a beautiful castle. The rooms were of magnificent proportions and were beautifully decorated with frescos and appropriate furniture. It far exceeded our expectations. Enjoyed Least: The shower in the bathroom was a little small. Surrounding Area: The surrounding countryside was beautiful and could be seen through the windows of the room. Nearby Events or Locales: The nearest town is Montagnana which is within walking distance but not with a pram. There's a good pizza place there called Cafe Negro - much better value than the dinners at the castle.

Overall: We had a great time! We rented several units in the castle and a nearby house to accommodate our family group of about 20. It was just perfect. It was exactly what we wanted and expected. Enjoyed Most: It was beautiful and perfect for our family gathering. Very good location. Enjoyed Least: For the older members of the family, the stairs were a litte difficult. Also, the walk into town was farther and steeper than was comfortable for the same age group.
