“It was a pleasure using Rentvillas for our recent trip to Tuscany. They handled our booking efficiently and responded to our questions quickly and thoroughly. Their website truly depicted the property, La Solaia. The pictures were accurate as were the description of the villa and the amenities. And then our actual visit was everything we had hoped for. “Overall: We had an amazing time. Everyone enjoyed themselves. Enjoyed Most: The outdoor area and the peace and tranquility. Enjoyed Least: The distance from town - too far to walk back up hill. Surrounding Area: Plenty of visits to nearby towns by train and bus. Nearby Events or Locales: Montecatini Terme. Yes, you could walk if you were fit - it is about three kilometres to town. Too uphill to walk back for us, though. Tips or Restaurants: The restaurant through the rear gate was outstanding! Check In Out: No all went very smoothly. Stefano was terrific.”

“Overall: We had a great week. Stefano is a gracious host. Enjoyed Most: The view and the veranda/patio by the pool. Also the grounds of the property were neat to walk around in. Surrounding Area: Montecatini Terme was an excellent little town. Nearby Events or Locales: Montecatini Terme. Could be if you don't mind a long walk. Tips or Restaurants: Go to the restaurant that Stefano suggests...the one that is probably 800 meters from the house. Directions: That's a good question. Key is probably to get people to that point right before you have to drive up the narrow road to the property. Definitely get there before night. Check In Out: No, Stefano was great.”

“Overall: Exceptional. The staff was very accommodating. Enjoyed Most: The views. Enjoyed Least: The number of steps to the beach (actually back from the beach). Surrounding Area: The people, food, and views. Nearby Events or Locales: Positano. Walkable, yes--but a strenuous walk back. Tips or Restaurants: Let the chef (she is excellent) do your dinners. Have the staff do a pizza night using the outdoor pizza oven. Directions: The directions were OK. The staff was waiting at the end of road for our cars and brought our bags up. Check In Out: They did a very good job.”

“Overall: This was our first experience renting a villa. It could not have been any better. The villa met all our needs and exceeded our expectations. Enjoyed Most: With the temperatures above the normal the pool became one of the best features of the property. Enjoyed Least: It was not as close to cities in the area but was ok for driving to them. Surrounding Area: The acessibility to the Tuscan Hill Top towns. Tips or Restaurants: Booklight for reading as lighting very dim in most bedrooms.Il Monte on SR68 about KM 57 marker next to sunflower fields was able to seat and feed 12 of us on short notice without reservations.Take train from Ceraldo to Florence.”

“Overall: We had a wonderful time, and the owner and staff of the villa were very helpful and attentive. They made us feel at home and welcome. Enjoyed Most: The high-level of interior design. This was by far the most "expensive looking" rental we have ever stayed in, and we constantly felt like we were in a 5-star resort. The daily maid service was much welcomed, and we were very thankful that a car rental was taken care of prior to our arrival and waiting for us. Enjoyed Least: We couldn't figure out if you could plug the drain in the bathroom in the upstairs unit. Surrounding Area: The village we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. The owners of the villa also own a restaurant at the end of the road, and we were often down there eating and visiting with the other employees. Because they all worked together, if something was wrong with the house, we could just tell anybody down there and they were always eager and willing to help. Nearby Events or Locales: We stayed in a small town, Megalochori. Picture perfect! Tips or Restaurants: This villa came fully stocked, so in the end we didn't need to bring the majority of the kitchen supplies that Rentvillas.com recommended in their orientation packet. Directions: The owner arranged for pick-up to and from the port, so they took all the worry out of arrival.”

“Overall: It was everything we hoped for and more. Everything was top notch, from the location to the amenities. Since we rented both apartments, it was very private. Enjoyed Most: The villa itself. We felt like we were living in an impressionist painting.The favorite part of my vacation was having a cup of coffee on the veranda looking at the Tuscan countryside dotted with hay bales. An incredibly peaceful experience. Enjoyed Least: The air conditioning, which worked, but not up to US standards. Surrounding Area: Exploring the little walled medieval towns which were all less than an hour's drive from the Villa (Pienza, Montichellio, Montepulciano, and Siena!) Nearby Events or Locales: Montichiello - the Villa is a mile off the main road so nothing was within walking distance Tips or Restaurants: The property was well-equipped (linens, towels, blow dryers) but had no WiFi. Future renters should bring their own portable hot spots such as Mifi. In Monticchiello , La Porta was incredible. In the outskirts of Pienza, the Agriturismo La Fonte was by far the best meal we had in Tuscany. Directions: GPS is a necessity! Check In Out: The manager was excellent. We called ahead she waited for us at the turn off from the main road (without following her we would never have found the Villa- even with GPS). She welcomed us with local wines, bottled water, and delicious fresh focaccia. Check out was easy and timely.”

“Overall: Staying at Villa Venere made this once-in-a-lifetime trip the best vacation we ever took together as a family. We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary with our children and grandson, and couldn't have celebrated it better! Enjoyed Most: The layout of the rooms allowed each family unit a good amount of privacy. The beauty of the property itself and it's view are unparalleled. Enjoyed Least: The bedrooms could have been a bit larger, but they were certainly adequate. Surrounding Area: The beauty and proximity of many sites to see, including Mt. Vesuvius, Pompeii, Naples, Positano, and Capri. Nearby Events or Locales: Positano...and we were right there. Walking in Positano can present a welcomed challenge, but so worth the effort. Tips or Restaurants: Have a great time. RentVillas has taken care of everything needed to have a stress-free vacation. As far as restaurants go, there were none that weren't excellent. Directions: The directions provided by RentVillas were enough to get us there, without getting lost.”

“Overall: We spent a wonderful week here. Enjoyed Most: The outdoor layout was superb. We were outside most of the day enjoying the view. The owners were very accommodating and friendly. Enjoyed Least: There is nothing not to like. Surrounding Area: There is something for everyone in Costa Blanca- from beaches to hiking to shopping and wine tasting. “Overall: FABULOUS! Great house... Great location. Enjoyed Most: The views were outsanding and the house was beautiful. The grounds, pool, furnishings were fine and outdoor space was excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Enjoyed Least: There really was nothing... Surrounding Area: Loved the town and access to the beaches and swimming areas. You have to be able to deal with A LOT of steps. Keeps you in good shape and allows you to eat all you want! Nearby Events or Locales: Praiano is adorable.. has everything you need. Great restaurants and groceries. Tips or Restaurants: We were a large group of 15, so getting around the coast was challenging and super expensive. Cabs are expensive and the "orange" shuttle bus up and down the coast is crowded and long waits. Having your own car would be frightening so you are sort of stuck..factor that into the cost of the trip and arrange a price with a limo/car company beforehand. Also, we found out that most of the restaurants will send a car for you..San Pietro etc... Directions: we were told to call the manager and it worked out well. We hired a porter to carry our bags down the steps to the villa and that is a must! Check In Out: Very organized and efficient.”

“Overall: We had a wonderful, restful week in Positano. The villa was amazing and Positano was beautiful. It was easy to do day trips to Capri, Pompeii, Sorrento and further along the Amalfi Coast. A great trip! Enjoyed Most: The view was spectacular. The property was very well-maintained and a maid came in daily. The pool was a blessing since it was close to 100 degrees F everyday. Enjoyed Least: The private beach was nice but the water had a lot of seaweed and there were jelly fish. My son got stung once so we stuck to the pool. Surrounding Area: Great little shops and good restaurants. Nearby Events or Locales: The center of Positano was close by but not really within walking distance. The villa sits at the top of the hill and the road winds back and forth to the bottom (which is where most of the shops are) so it is a long walk. Taxis are readily available but cost 20 Euros each way. Tips or Restaurants: The villa was stocked with toilet paper, shampoo, soaps, etc. When you arrive, you have to take the funiculare (elevator) down to the villa and then there are about 30 stairs to the villa so pack light! A great restaurant was Ristorante Il Ritrovo, but you have to take a taxi up the hill. Worth it, though. Directions: We had a car service from the train station so no trouble finding it. Check In Out: The key holder was excellent. He was very accessible and went over everything with us.”

“Overall: We had a great time and the property was well-suited for our group of nine. Enjoyed Most: We particularly enjoyed being able to cook using the outdoor wood fire grill and shopping locally for our ingredients. Enjoyed Least: PARKING!!!Parking is available for only two cars but it is very difficult to get in and out of the parking area. Although the amount of steps required for entrance/exit did not bother our group, there were well over 50 steps involved and it could be a problem for elderly or infirmed visitors. The pool is only suitable for children. Surrounding Area: All it had to offer. Very convenient to visit Sorrento and the drive along the Amalfi Coast was quite scenic and pleasant. Nearby Events or Locales: S. Agata--it's a great little town, friendly people, good restaurants, decent market, pharmacy helpful (we had a need for cold meds). Just go directly to one of the two lots offered and walk around the town. Tips or Restaurants: MiMi's Roasterrie was wonderful. Just don't sit against the wall which had the oven on the other side! Don Pedro's was walking distance and quite convenient for an arrival night dinner as you will not have had an opportunity to shop for the week. The kitchen was well equipped, but lacked sharp knives. Directions: Used GPS. The property entrance (which is through a locked gate in front of the parking area covered with ivy) had no clearly visible house number. When we called the property agent, he was quite timely in showing up to let us into the house. Check In Out: The check-in process was fine, however, it was accompanied by a third party who was interested in selling services such as catering and excursions which added pressure, in our opinion.”

“Overall: Excellent. Enjoyed Most: We loved it all. Enjoyed Least: The guest room (bed) without a view that had a different entrance. Surrounding Area: Florence and Siena...and the views! Nearby Events or Locales: San Donato; it's not within walking distance, but a short drive away. Tips or Restaurants: A great restaurant near the villa is Centi Palmi. In Florence proper we liked I Latini. We also had a wonderful chef and her helper from Lucca at the villa one night. I'd recommend that; we booked her through RentVillas. Directions: We did not use the GPS, but it would have made a difference.”

“Overall: We enjoyed a very memorable 9 days at Villa Senese. The property is gorgeous, with an honorable history, fantastic views and accommodations. The owner is very gracious and helpful. Enjoyed Most: Gorgeous property and views. Wonderful owner and staff. On-site winery. Enjoyed Least: Catering cost is separate from the property rental. Surrounding Area: The property is about 5 km from the heart of Siena (if you do not get lost), and about 40 km from San Gimignano. Nearby Events or Locales: Ponte Bozzone is within walking distance. Its two restaurants are fantastic. Check In Out: The directions stated check out at 9 am, and we prepared to leave by then... except the staff hadn't arrived yet. Apparently, it was news to them that the check out was then. On the positive side, the owner wanted us to stay for an extra day without charge. The problem was that many of us had planes to catch.”

“Overall: My visit to Italy was spectacular in part due to Villa Seggiano. The location and view were beautiful and the villa impeccably decorated. We had everything we needed and the hosts were gracious and accommodating. There was plenty to see and do in the area with Montalcino, Siena and Montalpulcino all within reasonable driving distances. Any question we had was quickly answered and the home had wireless connection which was a big help with making day plans. Our hosts, Laura and Roberto, also prepared a magnificent dinner for us one evening which was the highlight of the trip! Laura prepared a tart for us one day which was waiting upon our return from a day out and about-so thoughtful!I planned our trip online and Villa Seggiano was exactly as described however, the pictures did not do it justice. I would highly recommend the villa. It was worth every penny and then some. Enjoyed Most: It's hard to define what we liked most about the property but the living space and hosts made our time together incredibly memorable. Surrounding Area: Many towns were within an easy distance by car. Nearby Events or Locales: The nearest town was Seggiano. Seggiano was roughly 5 kilometers by car and though an easy distance to walk to, the roads were tough to safely navigate on foot. Directions: We met the owners of the villa and followed them to the property.”
