Overall: Fabulous views provided us a terrific week in Moltrasio. Enjoyed Most: The setting was wonderful, the kitchen was well-equipped, check in and out was very easy. Surrounding Area: We felt as though we were enjoying the area as natives and not tourists. Very authentic location -- not touristy. Nearby Events or Locales: Walking to center of Moltrasio may be too far for most. Tips or Restaurants: Future renters must be aware of the amount of stairs to maneuver to get to property and inside property. Best restaurant was La Baia -- very easy to walk to and GREAT food. Directions: Directions and pictures were very helpful.

Overall: Very peaceful and comfortable. Enjoyed Most: Scenery. Surrounding Area: Mountains and general view, especially the sunset. Nearby Events or Locales: Castellina and it is not within walking distance. Tips or Restaurants: The villa was well stocked and there are plenty of good restaurants. Directions: GPS was fine we had no difficulties using the directions. Check In Out: It was fine!

Overall: The Tuscany area is beautiful. We visited several areasat the direction of our driver and were not disappointed. Enjoyed Most: We were looking for a country experience and it certainlylived up to that. Enjoyed Least: The front bedroom is right next to the chiminey and wassmokey if there was a fire in the fireplace in the livingroom. The owners live right next door and sometimes itwas noisy at night. Owners had dogs that barked at night sometimes. Surrounding Area: The countryside is beautiful and we were able to walksome as the weather was great. Tips or Restaurants: Definitely will have to hire a driver or rent a car. We hireda driver which we think is the best way.

Overall: Very good. We didn't expect to have WiFi in the villa, but there is WiFi on the first floor! Enjoyed Most: Within 5 minutes walking distance to the market and village. It is by the sea and has a beautiful view. Enjoyed Least: Some of the bathrooms' showers might benefit from an upgrade. Surrounding Area: It is a beautiful seaside town, very convenient. Nearby Events or Locales: 5 minutes walking distance. Tips or Restaurants: The villa provided everything and the kitchen is fully equipped. A very nice seafood restaurant, La Lucciola, is within walking distance. It is run by a family, lovely place and great food. Directions: We rented a car from Milan and the car rental company also provided GPS. We had no problem finding the place. We also had a 9 passenger minivan, didn't have any problem driving to the property. Check In Out: Check in and check out were very smooth and easy. Max was very helpful and easy to work with.

Overall: The property was accurately represented on the RentVillas site. Picture were current. Our check in was a breeze with no surprises. Our property manager was so pleasant and efficient and very helpful. The villa is spacious and great for 6 adults. Supplies were adequate, linens good. The pool area is lovely and the gardens and view are beautiful. The location is good for traveling to nearby villages. Our overall experience was great. Enjoyed Most: The quiet surroundings and the location. Enjoyed Least: The road to the villa is quite rutted. Surrounding Area: The church service in Pistoia, all the food in the local restaurants, the breathtaking drives on the narrow winding roads and the lovely locals. Nearby Events or Locales: Forcoli. It is quite a walk, but could be done. Tips or Restaurants: Definitely book Chef Mattisse. He is fabulous. Bring your own shampoo. Bring your electrical adapters and games you like to play. Directions: No changes. Directions were accurate, but we did use GPS. Check In Out: Elizabeth was great. The gate was open and the villa unlocked and there was wine in the kitchen. We made ourselves at home and she arrived shortly.

Overall: Our group had a wonderful time. We all enjoyed our time at the Villa. Our host was there to meet us and was very welcoming and could not have been more accommodating. We were short 2 fans in the bedrooms and as it was very hot he returned a short time later with 3 brand new fans. He checked on us every day and could not do enough for us. The villa was clean and, if not luxurious, had all the essentials. Enjoyed Most: The view was amazing. The pool was lovely to cool off in after a day of sightseeing. The beds were large and comfortable. The chef was great, and the amount of food for one meal fed us again the next night, good value. The outside eating area was lovely with huge pots full of lemon trees laden with fruit. (very Tuscan) Enjoyed Least: More pillows for the beds. The bathrooms, although adequate, were not great. The kitchen was a little small but well stocked. The grass needed a mow. The yard was a little unkempt but still charming. Surrounding Area: The view from the bedrooms and side yard was just beautiful. During the day you could see the Dome in Florence and at night the lights were a sight to behold. We sat and watched the sunsets from the yard overlooking the pool and it was spectacular. The villa was on a very quiet road so only a small amount of local traffic. Nearby Events or Locales: The small village of Capannuccia was within walking distance, but not much there. A nice walk (about 2.5 km) past other villas and wildflowers along the roadside. Tips or Restaurants: The chef (from the small restaurant in Capannuccia) was very good. The villa is quite isolated so you do need a car. Our group of 12 had two cars, good for running to supermarket in Grassina. For our sightseeing trips we hired a driver and van from Florence. This worked very well when cost was split between 6 couples. We used the villa as a base and went on sightseeing trips to Florence and surrounding towns. It was a lovely place to come home to at the end of a busy day. Directions: We had no trouble as we had a driver who picked us up at Florence train station. He knew the area and took us straight to the villa. Our friends with a car and GPS had a bit of trouble finding it. Check In Out: Our host was excellent even though he was not fluent in English (which made the experience all the more exotic,) and we had even less Italian. The check in/out was very smooth, we had no trouble making ourselves understood.

Overall: We had a lovely time although the weather was not cooperating. Gabriella was wonderful. The welcome dinner was great and the rooms are large. The whole house was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed Most: The wonderful quietness of the property. Surrounding Area: The quaint towns and vineyards. Nearby Events or Locales: Gambassi Terme was the nearest town but the walking path was long and wet. Walking on the road seemed as though it would be unsafe. Directions: We used a GPS and it didn't work very well. A better sign out in front of the villa would have been helpful. Check In Out: Check in and check out was very easy.

Overall: Overall, it was great. The owners were absolutely wonderful. Enjoyed Most: Besides the owner's kindness and availability--the dining area and the porch. Enjoyed Least: Low lighting. Surrounding Area: Lovely little town, with a great restaurant. The people were all so friendly. Nearby Events or Locales: Bucine...yes, it's within walking distance. Tips or Restaurants: Bring a flashlight. Check In Out: Easy. Again, the owners were the BEST!

Overall: Relaxing We loved it. The stunning views really made us know we were in Tuscany...probably the most beautiful part of Tuscany. Although narrow winding dirt roads made driving slow, there were some wonderful places to visit nearby. The villa was homey and spacious and comfortable. This property worked well for our group of 8 friends. Enjoyed Most: Location, stunning views, lovely huge relaxing lounge area with open fire we used as it was quite cold at times and the terrace for drinks at sunset. The colours of the walls in the changing light were SO Tuscan. Hiring the local chef twice for dinners...pre-booked for arrival dinner and later booked for final night...a great idea. Delicious, plentiful food, lovely chef (Tiziana)...table set in lovely dining room and all cleared away, dishes done...do it! Own wines for dinner purchased during the day on our travels. Views of nearby Castello Banfi, Argiano winery and numerous hilltop towns really enhanced 'living' in the heart of Southern Tuscany. The property manager (Lourdes) was so friendly and helpful...glad two of us spoke Italian though as no English spoken. Surrounding Area: The stunning views, sunsets, serenity, truly Tuscan landscape everywhere we looked....special wineries, ristoranti, and nearby hilltop towns. Nearby Events or Locales: No towns withing walking distance. Sant'Angelo di Scalo for basic supplies, but shops not always open...otherwise off to Montalcino (a slow 10km drive away but well worth it!!) or Sant' Angelo in Colle... Tips or Restaurants: Argiano (tasting) and Castello Banfi wineries (fabulous tour and tasting and lunch)...both can be seen from villa and are stunning properties. La Pieve ristorante and church nearby a must for tastings and lunch or dinner. Wonderful people too. Montalcino town around 10km drive...winding roads but worth the trip. Trattoria "Il Pozzo" for sensational local food...the cinghiale (wild boar) well worth the visit. Il Poderuccio Girardi winery in Sant'Angelo in Colle...smallest producer of brunello...lovely wines and winemaker. Great shopping in Montalcino, wine tastings and eateries. Bring paper towels, milk, tea, coffee, sugar etc...breakfast foods, toilet paper, shampoo etc...antipasto, bread, wine, water if you prefer bottled. Linen and towels provided and changed/housekeeping mid-week (make your own beds). Directions: One of our group had a small car and GPS which we relied on for our mini van to follow. Not an easy villa to find even when we booked a 'local' driver to go to Avignonesi winery near Montepulciano. Check In Out: When we arrived later in the day at the villa we were welcomed by the manager. No paperwork was required. Check-in and check out couldn't have been easier or faster or more friendly.

Overall: Beautiful views, ideal location to get around entire Amalfi coast, wonderful staff people. Enjoyed Most: The view. Enjoyed Least: The linens on the bed. Surrounding Area: Easy to see the entire coast i.e. Capri, Sorrento, Praiano, Path of the Gods, etc. Nearby Events or Locales: Positano, and yes it was in walking distance. Tips or Restaurants: Aldo Limos was wonderful for excursions. The pricing was better than any I found and Salvatore our driver was awesome! Had an amazing dinner our last night at La Tagliata in Positano. They picked us up for a true Italian, family-style meal. There is music on Tuesday and Friday. It was a great fete to end the week. Directions: No issues. The property is very well known in Positano. Check In Out: I highly recommend having someone help with luggage. You can arrange this through RentVillas. It's worth the extra few Euros and worth it based on the number of steps.

Overall: Beautiful villa, however on a very busy street. Enjoyed Most: Location to restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed Least: Buses, cars and scooters. If you are looking for a quiet villa this is not for you. Tips or Restaurants: Moonlight Restaurant very good, also El Calpano close by.

Overall: We enjoyed the home tremendously and we loved the village of Crespina. The pool and al fresco dining really made the home a perfect getaway. The location was quite nice--close for easy drives to Florence, Cinque Terre, Pisa, etc. Enjoyed Most: The pool and grounds. Enjoyed Least: We hired the private chefs recommended by RentVillas. They were nice, but I felt that the meals were just OK. I am Italian and feel I could have prepared better meals. Surrounding Area: The village of Crespina is lovely. I enjoyed the little village market/store. The owners were lovely and always helpful. We picked up amazing produce, meats and cheeses there, as well as wine. Tips or Restaurants: There is a neighbor dog that barks, but you get used to it. Directions: Our GPS did not pick up signal, unfortunately.

Enjoyed Most: Beaulieu in general and the villa location in particular are beautiful and occupy the very best location in the Riviera. The villa is new, modern, light and extremely well appointed. Enjoyed Least: The second and third bedrooms are not equipped with en suite bathrooms. Surrounding Area: Amazing views and great walks and drives along the choice locations of the Riviera. There was also a great selection of cafes and restaurants. Thanks to the special arrangements made by the villa owner, Beaulieu is reasonably accessible on foot, though not as easy as the promotional material suggested. Tips or Restaurants: Do not try to find your way by car. It is impossibly complicated to locate the entrance road and the drive is hair-raising for the first few days. Accept the offer of the villa owner, who is most helpful and charming as is his wife, to meet you in the town and then follow him. Directions: The generosity and kindness of the villa owners, who live in the adjacent villa, more than compensate for this. In all other respects the arrival arrangements were splendid

Overall: Quiet and comfortable with stunning views. Great access to Lake Como area. Enjoyed Most: Quiet and located on a point away from other properties.Close to several restaurants within walking distance. Surrounding Area: Ferry boat access to all of Lake Como. Nearby Events or Locales: Olgiasca; yes. Directions: Key holder met us at meeting point.

Overall: The villa was very spacious and in good condition. Enjoyed Most: Nice pool and quiet backyard. Really enjoyed the open air deck. Enjoyed Least: Too warm at night. The bedrooms need fans. Surrounding Area: We really like the Arenal beach area. The beach was beautiful and the promenade along the beach was filled with wonderful shops and restaurants. Nearby Events or Locales: There were a few shops and stores in walking distance, but a car is really necessary to see the area. Tips or Restaurants: Several good restaurant recommendations including Lungo Mare for Italian, Monsoon Thai, and India Palace buffet. Directions: You really need a GPS system to find the villa. The house numbering system in the development is not very intuitive.

Overall: We had 13 in our group and the house comfortably accommodated everyone. The weather was very warm and the pool was a welcome spot every afternoon. A perfect location for touring the Chianti region and day trips to Florence and Siena. Enjoyed Most: We liked the pool and cabana and the dining table just outside the front door where we ate most of our meals. We had Francesca and Maria cook us a delicious six course dinner on two nights - well worth every penny! Enjoyed Least: The ants. We think it would be a good idea to provide a more detailed description of appliances and kitchenware so renters can plan accordingly. Surrounding Area: We liked the peace and quiet of the area and the ability to drive less than 20 minutes to hill towns in every direction. Drive east into the Chianti region and go to charming towns Castellina in Chianti and Greve in Chianti. Certaldo Alto is a hidden treasure nearby. Nearby Events or Locales: The two towns, Bagnano and Petrognano, are within walking distance, but really don't have any services. We did not eat at the two restaurants available nearby so can't comment on them. We walked in the morning to Petrognano for some exercise. The two main towns, Certaldo and Barberino Val d' Esa are just 10 minutes by car. Tips or Restaurants: The hill town of Certaldo Alto, just above Certaldo has a wonderful restaurant called Osteria del Vicario where we had a delicious lunch and dinner. Make sure you have someone stock the pantry with paper towels, plastic bags, dish washing soap, etc. before you arrive since stores are closed on Sunday, making it nearly impossible to get anything before Monday. We made arrangements for the refrigerator to be stocked with breakfast supplies upon arrival, but wished we had asked for other items too. Check In Out: Mario was very easy going and made the check-in-out simple. He provided us with a bottle of wine and access to the locally produced wine if we desired.

Overall: The villa was very nice, a touch of old world charm with some modern amenities. The pool is the star attraction. Enjoyed Most: Kitchen overlooking the pool and deck which overlooked the town and sea. very quiet, except for the barking dogs down below but generally quiet, safe and secure. Enjoyed Least: Ground floor bedrooms have a peculiar layout. Didn't see the value of the mandatory maid/cleaning service (300 Euros) forced on the guests 5 days a week. We were 9 people and really didn't need a cleaning every day. The cleaning staff also kept irregular hours, arriving at different times each day. It was a bit awkward having someone flitting around while we lounged by the pool or napped. Surrounding Area: Beautiful view and an easy walk to the grocery store for supplies. Nearby Events or Locales: Located in Taormina. It was a challenging walk to town, better downhill than up. The evening return was always a dreaded challenge. Tips or Restaurants: Everything we needed and more was at the villa. Kitchen very well equipped and we made some memorable lunches and dinners during our stay. The local butcher shop is a wonderful experience and the owners very helpful. Restaurants of note Il Delfino by the sea at the base of the cable car. Ask for Alessandro and Angelo. In Taormina we liked Tiramisu Restaurant and a great restaurant famous for pizza about a 10 Euro cab ride up the hill. Highly recommend a visit to Castelmolo. A beautiful little town up the hill from the villa, (drive or bus it, don't walk) with a unbelievable view, great shops and restaurants. A feeling of being in the old world, fantastic. Directions: With GPS, which I highly recommend, the world is yours to discover. With this property, the address entrance is not accessible on arrival; you need to access by the side entrance which is impossible to find if you don't have specific directions. We fortunately were met by Gabriele who directed us to the right door, making our access easy and effortless. Check In Out: We arrived early and thanks to Gabriele, our property manager, he accommodated an earlier access to the property. He was also very helpful giving us the lay of the property, restaurant suggestions, made reservation on our behalf and all in all very pleasant to deal with. Check out prompt, efficient and fair as there where some extras to calculate such as coffee consumption and energy.

Overall: The villa was very nice. Enjoyed Most: The villa was well equipped, and had a good view and garden. Enjoyed Least: The villa was more remote than we expected. The washing machine was problematic. Surrounding Area: Good coastal area, liked the availability of good seafood. Nearby Events or Locales: We did walk to Cupra Marittima but it was a tough walk in hot weather as the villa was on top of a hill. The walk was about 20 minutes and not really easy. Directions: Direction were good, but when we were there we didn't know which place was the villa. We needed to ask at the restaurant who phoned our host for us.
