Their local agents were really helpful, texted us before the appointment with a two hour window, followed by the engineer confirming his estimated time of arrival - he was 10 minutes late due to unforeseen traffic. The engineer was polite, and fixed both the issue we had reported along with a couple of others he spotted, all within the fee charged. While others have obviously had poor experiences I wanted to show that it can be good news

Booked for a repair to our Neff oven. Arrived on the appointed day and stated that the part required for the repair would have to be ordered and would take a few days. Told engineer that we were going away for a few days and he said that he would contact us on our return. Received a telephoned call the day before going away and appointment made for day after we returned. Attended on the appointed and repair carried. Brilliant service and would definitely use again.

Persisted with their problem-solving efforts even though it was complex and required a large number of parts to be ordered. I was never asked to pay extra even though I can imagine the parts collectively would have cost more than the fixed fee I paid in the beginning.

Do not use this company. Been trying since July (it's now November) for a refund as the repair to my washing machine would have cost a lot more than the £139.00 I had paid and they declined the repair. Fair enough. But, to date, after numerous calls to them, at premium rates, I still haven't received my refund. Today I was told to forward copies of my Credit Card Statement to them to prove I hadn't received my refund. Worst company I've had the misfortune to use. Beware.

Had them in to replace the clock on our Rangemaster cooker. Paid a flat fee of £175 and after a short time it went wrong - could not set the time. Slow to answer the phone so several attempts and when I did get through they booked an engineer call which never happened. So I called them again to be told that the visit had been cancelled because by the time I'd got through to them I was outside a 90-day warranty period. Nobody had contacted me with this. And if I wanted them to come out now it would cost another £175. Not happy!

wasn't even fixed properly was here for 14 minutes, spent 120 on a 14 minute job that i had to go back over because the guy couldnt be bothered to do his job properly. Not happy with this at all was a waste of my time and my money. if i spend time and money researching how to get it repaired i do not expect to then have to go back over it again so it will actually work, i dont get paid to fix it and i didnt want to pay to have my time wasted.

No parts on van. took three days to arrive. No repairers in Surrey/SouthWest London. Our man came 80 miles from Rayleigh Essex. Parts (oven thermostat and door seals have to be sent from Birmingham to Rayleigh and then brought 80 miles to Leatherhead ! ) No estimate of completion date. They were told last week the oven needed to be ready for Thanksgiving day which was clearly impossible if the service engineers are so busy and do not hold parts. They take the money, take 10 minutes to answer the complaints phone line (that says it all) . This firm is a joke and reminds me of the chaotic British Leyland car company. To cap it all they sent two engineers on separate occasions on the same day to view the job !

I booked in a hoover to be repaired by Repaircare in May and got it back over 8 weeks later in July. My experience started badly when Repaircare omitted the fact that they required the broken appliance to be boxed before their courier would collect it. After that they offered no updates on the whereabouts of our expensive hoover unless I contacted them, and each time their response was vague and unhelpful. In fact, it took so long that we were forced to buy a new vacuum in the interim, negating the point of getting the original repaired. Poor communication, poor customer service. It took over two months for Repaircare to perform a simple repair. I would not recommend using this company.

Booked a repair on Tuesday for the engineer to visit to repair a 4 year old Candy washing machine on the Thursday. Initially I was impressed, got a text with the engineers details so messaged him and he called back. Described the issue and he advised that a new drum was needed and he would order one in. He didn’t turn up, contact me of respond to my call on the scheduled visit day. He didn’t answer his phone on the Friday so I called the head office. Admin staff said there were no parts on order. Today (Monday) I found out that my machine was not economical to repair so they won’t be doing any work and I will be refunded. Had the engineer done as promised and tried to order the part on Tuesday I would have been able to order my new machine 6 days earlier. Not impressed!

We booked a repair for our washer drier and paid our fixed cost of £129.00. There would be a wait of 4 days which we thought was quite acceptable. The repair man came on the day booked, a Thursday, and identified the problem and advised that the machine required a couple of parts, a sensor and harness. These would be ordered by the admin girls. After hearing nothing for a few days, I phoned on the following Tuesday for an update, and spoke to 3 ladies, Sinnita, Dee and Eileen. I had different stories; the engineer was to order it, it could take 28 days, not in the Uk, and it had been ordered!! I asked to speak to the manager who advised he would investigate and come back to me, he never did. Now the part that was required was available in the Uk from AEG, I offered to buy this myself, I just needed to get the go ahead, but it never came. On the Weds I asked for another update, it had been ordered and was to come from Germany, great news, next day delivery. I called again, and the following Monday was told that it was with DHL, but lost. Enough was enough, Eileen tried her hardest but that was it, I requested a full refund and got it a few days later. Would I use this company again? What do you think?

I got a fault on my Delonghi cooker and doesn't heat up past a certain level so likely an easy fix for someone who knows what to do. I phoned repair care initially and asked if they could repair it and the person said they knew nothing about cookers and just book call outs and it's £145 which is non refundable even if it cannot be fixed and they just phone round local engineers once I pay them so wouldn't be able to discuss I with anyone first. I left it and spoke to Delonghi and an operations manager there diagnosed the part it would likely be (thermostat) and a couple of other parts incase it wasn't and said they use repaircare for all their repairs so they should be able to fix it easy enough. I go back to Repaircare and pay them and tell them what parts the Delonghi manager suggested it was on the 13th March and they arranged a call out by the engineer on the 18th March which seemed great and very fast. On the 15th I get a text saying they require parts and I will be kept up to date by phone or text on the dispatch then no contact after so I phoned again on the 4th April and was then told the parts haven't arrived yet I asked when they might arrive then they said they didn't know what the expected delivery date was as they hadn't been ordered, when I asked why I was then told the parts wasn't available to order so if they become available then they will order them? If you go on Delonghi website they link to another spares company named 4delonghi which has all the parts this company claim isn't available so wouldn't buy Delonghi again after this as can not even get simple repairs done for them and repaircare from my experience just seem like a very unprofessional company who just "care" about getting payments and not actually doing anything after it.

Do not use Repaircare, use a local repair tradesman who have a reputation to lose and who actually want the work. Fridge freezer repair, the engineer arrived after a few days, he was informed the fridge (above freezer )began to lose air flow due to ice build up? its ok for 5/6 days after defrosting then repeat the cycle turn off again overnight to defrost. The engineer stuck his hand in the fridge and came to the conclusion that it needed 3 parts and would order them and the senior engineer would return to fit them when in stock, there was no covers removed, no circuits were tested, no tools used or testing of any kind, so how he came to that conclusion i don't know. not sure who's the one looking for excuses not to repair either, but one or both of them are? Repaircare state that they will preform a thorough evaluation of your appliance (he only stayed a few minutes) ? After 5 days a call from repaircare saying that no parts have been ordered, there will be no further visits and that i will get a £50 back from the upfront payment of £125, because its been tampered with as such not repairable? A local agent has since visited and the unit required one part which will cost £45 In conclusion Repair have terrible customer service, still waiting for a reply from there escalations department after 7 days, some bad and dishonest repair agents who view a short visit as easy pickings, (even after providing details of an easy repair), perhaps Repaircare don't like sharing a fair slice of the £125 fee with the repair agent?, its a con, pay a fair price to a local honest agent.
