“AVOID // BEWARE it's a scam!!! DO NOT USE Reservations.com! I thought I was on the hotel's website. I did not know I was using a third party system that the hotel itself has never heard of. I did not just make a reservation, I unknowingly prepaid for the room, including $30 in taxes on a $94 small town Iowa hotel and a $20 service fee! For what? Nobody mentions a $20 service fee on their website! The hotel had no access to their account. They couldn't even give me a receipt to say I stayed there. I got stuck. I didn't even get the room I wanted or reserved, yet I paid for it. It was a FUBAR mess! I was faked out and ripped off. Why isn't the attorney general shutting this website down? **Bamboosaled!”

“It's a scam. The hotel closed for COVID and they still charge 19.99 and don't even advise of the closure, I found out by accident. They also pretend to be the hotel when I called. Impersonation. Watch out!”

“When you call thru phone always ask if it is the actual hotel RED FLAG!!! IF THEY ASK YOU TO CONFIRM THE NAME OF THE HOTEL THAT YOU WANT TO BOOK WITH SOMETIMES THEY TEND TO SOUND LIKE THEY ARE FROM OR AFFILIATED WITH THE HOTEL.”

“If I could give them a zero I would. Charged me for a hotel room that was unavailable. I can see not refunding someone their money if they cancel but if the hotel does not have vacancy then they need to refund your money. I will never use this site ever again and never would have in the first place had I known that they were a scam pretending to be the hotel.”

“Terrible customer service! They charged me for 2 nights when we only need one and when we checked in and discovered in at checkin they would not credit us for the night. Watch for extra charges”

“Hit wrong date on their website, called immediately to correct got the runaround. The rate was good but with their fees it was more than if I had walked in to the motel. DO NOT USE THIS SITE. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!”

“This is a scam website. You think you are booking directly through the hotel. My actual room charge was 300.78 for the nights we stayed. This fake website charged me 441.74 for the room and kept 141.00 for "service fees".”

“They never told me will be a charge for $9.99 dollars for a cancellation. Always said there will be a full refund for cancellations within the cancellation window. Run away from these people. They are in Thailand, so if you have to call them you pay the call. Difficult to contact them. No site recognize the reservation number. They give you a number and give a different number to the hotel. Run away from them.”

“reservations.com hides behind other Legitimate businesses websites. They do not offer quality services and they charge fees that are nonrefundable. Do not get sucked into this company’s website. There were plenty of quality websites for booking travel this is not one of them.”

“When searching for a hotel room, make sure you go directly to the hotel website or call the hotel directly !! Reservations.com will come up in your search and make you think you are at the hotel website, but you are not. They change an additional fee for booking of 19.99 that is non-refundable if you cancel, and they also charge your card when the booking is made. IF YOU CALL THE HOTEL TO BOOK, YOUR CARD WILL NOT BE CHARGED UNTIL YOU ARRIVE. The hotel can email you a confirmation. Reservations.com is a scam.”

“What a scam. Booked a hotel that hasn’t even been open since Covid started. They mentioned nothing of the non-refundable $19.99 fee. To top it off they quoted me in USD and didn’t tell me for a hotel in Canada. Stay far away from this company. They will completely scam you”

“Terrible business practices. My wife booked a room and tried to cancel 1 hour later only to be told it was non-refundable. The reservation is next month and we have been charged double the price for the room. Plus reservations.com charges another $19.99 fee. When you try to call, they give you the run around with zero help. This is a scam company. Please avoid using these people at all cost.”

“No stars! The person I talked to made reservation, send confirmation. We drove for hours only to find the hotel was closed. Reservations come replied that they couldn't reach the hotel (duh!) So now it was my problem. I had specifically asked if the hotel was open because the area was having power problems. What irresponsibility. Advice: never ever use this site, even of a hotel links to iy.”

“Like other post say this is a scam. You think you're on the website of the hotel, but you're not. They don't give a break down of the cost until after you submit the payment. They charge double the city and state taxes and a 19.99 service fee.”

“Deceitful...thought I was booking directly but no. Then when I tried to cancel the reservation (which was allowed with no charge up until one day before the reservation) they would not return a $19.99 "reservation fee". Total BS.”
