“I have was given a years worth of Sakuraco sweet boxes for my 50th this year. The Okinawa Retreat box was my 1st box and we loved it as a family!! Would recommend this as a gift or treat to anyone who likes Japanese treats :)”
“Super cute. Everything came fast- and hearing the stories of the snacks, or in some cases the craftsman, really made it seem cool. I’m already looking forward to next month’s box!”
“Most products were really tasty. More sweet than savory, definitely preffered. Better than bokksu for sure. Definitely should be more upfront with the price instead of getting sticker shocked at the checkout though.”
“I like the varied selections and the booklet that explains what the special items are and how they are made. My first box was a surprise gift! Sweet…”
“Arrived in a decorative box, neatly packed, with a n informative booklet on the snacks and location of each. A variety of tasty snacks. A big hit in our household!”
“I’ve always loved Japanese culture, this month featuring Okinawa made me feel like I got to learn a little bit of what the areas food and culture is like. I can’t wait to be in Okinawa myself eating some Sata Andagi donuts with some tea :)”
“The August box is fantastic!
Every flavour is different and a discovery, Chinsuko cookies are my favourites! I love the little cultural introductions to every place, makes me want to visit every corner one day. The Sacred Spring at Jōgaku is simply magical 💙
the Ichimatsu chopsticks…
I love it all!”
“Though delivery was very slow, the treats were delicious! I was very happy with the unique snacks, but I’m sure they would have been more fresh had the delivery been more speedy.”
“Sakuraco deserves recognition! Happy and loyal customer made!
I’ve been a subscriber to SAKURACO for 4+ months, and I’ve even turned my boyfriend into a fan of their offerings. Truly unique selections of snacks that just scream quality once it hits your tastebuds!”
“We bought the Okinawa box and used it for a homeschool lesson on Japan.
The booklet was full of all information about Okinawa and all the tasty treats inside as well as the local culture.
Our favourite biscuit has to be the Snow Salt Milk Chinsuko. It’s so creamy and delicate and it’s so cool that it was once reserved for royalty!
The wide variety of local brown sugar treats were so nice to try, the Tannafakuru biscuit delicious and chewy.
We definitely want to try another box one day! Very impressed!”
“Price and quality were comparable to other Japanese snack boxes, but there were not enough salty and savory snacks in this one. There were WAY too many red bean items. I felt like half the box was red bean cookies. Red bean is fine, but I'd have preferred more variety and more salty stuff.”
“Boxes typically took 20+ to arrive after shipping meaning the snacks were stale and broken.
On top of that, Sakuraco does not offer customers renewal reminders whether you have a month, 3-month, 6-month or annual subscription. They are also completely non-refundable, zero exceptions.
After having an annual subscription I missed my cancellation date by a few hours, but Sakuraco renewed my annual subscription and refuses to cancel or refund me. I now owe $540 for snack boxes I do not want.
How hard would it be for Sakuraco to send a reminder a week or two before an annual plan renewed? Most companies do because they understand it's a way to show customers they care and aren't trying to scam you into another subscription you do not want and they refuse to renew.
TL:DR - Does anyone know where I can sell Sakuraco boxes to make back some of my money? Anyone want an annual subscription for a reduced price????”
“I was home recovering from surgery when my July Sakuraco box arrived. My face brightened as I opened it & read the beautiful card inside.
Everything you send let’s me indulge in transporting Japanese smells, tastes & textures. But perhaps the most precious item in my Sakuraco boxes is the beautifully written booklet explaining everything I will soon experience.
This time that booklet took me to Okinawa! I immediately forgot about my medical condition as I devoured all the details & imagined visiting this enchanting city on my next trip to Japan.
Thank you for sending me such treasures. I feel the love in every box.

“Fast delivery, great value for money and the snacks are delicious. I love the little booklet that comes with each box that explains each item and tells you a little bit about the region the food comes from”
“Sakura co boxes are a treat fo0r those who want to learn more about Japanese culture and destinations. Reading through the booklet each month gives you great insight into various locations across the country that would be fun to visit and a bit about their festivals, traditions, and history. Snack wise there are usually a few unique and truly cool snacks in each box, but some of them do just seem to be repetitive and uninteresting (maybe even very cheap) such as the breads, jellies, and crunchy chocolates. The price tag does admittedly seem high for what you get and would be more appropriately placed at around 20$ before shipping. 4 stars.”
