I purchased this as a gift for my partner. I enjoyed the sweets and the porcelain plate very much in the December box. However we only enjoyed 7 out of the 14 items. Most of them were singles so we had to share small portions of an already small item. I was hoping the February box would come back with a big hit but my gift ended up being a piece of cloth. I didn't buy this box just for the treats I especially wanted the japanese porcelain items they advertise so much. When I found out the surprise item was a piece of cloth it really solidified it for me. I don't think I will be happy with my third box so I am probably going to cancel. The snacks are ok but half of the box always ends up being senbei and the tea is always green tea. I was really hoping for something more elegant and fruitful after seeing all the reviews of these amazing cups, plates and snacks. Just an overall huge disappointment for the amount of money.

My first box was fantastic but this one had very few items that were to my taste. Very disappointed.

Be warned. Try to reduce your plan and they will hold your current plan hostage till you purchase the lower plan. Sign up to a higher plan for to their gift incentives? Well turns out they will not give the gifts for the same package when you purchase for someone else. They also will not allow for refunds, even within 1 hour of purchase without any goods sent out. Not the actions of a reputable company.

Sakuraco would not be a bad service to experience delicious and fun Japanese sweets and confectionary, however, I think it hoodwinks their customers in an awful way. I did the trial of 6 months with a youtubers discount code, and would NOT have paid for this if it was clear that I would be AUTOMATICALLY charged for renewal WITHOUT any type of warning or confirmation prior to. When reaching out to customer support within the hour that they emailed me saying "thank you for your renewal", they were very adamant that they made it clear I would be automatically charged upon signing up (which is not true - if I had seen this, I would NOT have signed up). When I advised I wanted to confirm my cancellation and receive a refund, they told me they could only offer a coupon and that they could not refund me as it the payment was already "processed". I work in operations myself, so I know how untrue this is. You cannot take my money and be unable to return the funds back. Ultimately, be very sure if you want to sign up for something like this and just understand that you will not receive proper advisement of assistance in any aftermath of issue. The treats themselves are really lovely, but solely because of this, I will never have anything to do with this company, or their affiliates, every again.

The rice crackers came in the gift box and were broken. When I received them, I found that there was no hard box packaging at all. Because I was giving this as a gift, I couldn't give it to a friend because the packaging was damaged. A little disappointed with your product Picture cannot be uploaded

Products are fine and as expected. We received minor brittles in some candy during transportation. In general we were not satisfied of the product for the price paid and decided not to continue. Sakuraco though charged us ahead of time for renewal, we cancelled, but they refused us a refund, even though they have not yet processed or shipped anything. They accepted the cancellation but they can only offer credit for a future purchase (any kind of purchase) from their store. If we knew that they run such kind of a business we would never have tried them. We cannot imagine what their response we would have been if something went wrong with the boxes… It is only now that we realized we are not alone with this cancellation but no refund policy of theirs that leaves a bad taste unfortunately.

Seriously, I am extremely disappointed for this time round. Received the box dented, very badly. Sadly, those crackers inside the box has broken. Shoddy packaging. Found a snack is not supposed in this box. Also the Usagi Marshmallow did not come in a pair….

Not all things imaged in the advertising comes in the box. A small tea pot and cup were plastered all over this September box, but the only thing that came was the small plate instead of the prior items. Just treat it like a snack box and nothing more.

I received the May 2023 Sakuraco box as a surprise Mother’s Day gift. It’s a great mix of delicious sweets & snacks from Japan. I live in Germany and this is just a heads up for anyone ordering from Germany. Unfortunately each item on the commercial invoice ICHIGO Inc. was not written correctly, so I had to explain to customs exactly what each item was (e.g. Senbei, Mochi, Jelly, candy, …). Finally, customs duty cost me 29.75 EUR (32USD). It's not worth ordering from Germany...

DO NOT BUY this subscription box if you are in CANADA. First, box took forever to arrived around 4 weeks. Customer service said I had to wait because the box was held in customs. The tracking number provided did not work. First box arrived with a ceramic box broken. Then they did not offer refunds even when I wanted to cancel the service. They do not care about a bad customer experience, they prefer $$$ over a happy customer. Thats not the way to do business. I feel totally invisible everytime I spoke with customer service. Also, some treats were expired, some were ok. IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

I just received my January package on the afternoon of 1/30/23. I’m frankly paying quite a bit for the shipping in relation to the price of the box. I should have received this much sooner.

I enjoyed the snacks in the box however the surprise tableware was unacceptable, it feels like a low quality plastic rice bowl. Such a disappointment.

This is only my second month on the Sakura.co subscription. The first month, my box came within a week- express shipping with tracking throughout the entire process, which was what I paid for. This month (the July box) came after a full month had passed and tracking had not been updated until 3 weeks after it shipped. Not only that, the box and some snacks inside even arrived damaged. I had contacted customer service to see what was taking so long but they couldn't even tell me where my box was. (So much for tracking). After I notified customer service that some of the snacks and the box arrived damaged, they said that they could not look after the box the entirety of the delivery process, which is understandable however it is their fault for using a courier that can properly deliver the package within the given time frame or even to just provide tracking. For 3 weeks, I had no idea where the package even was and neither did the customer service. We did come to an amiable solution though this entire process was extremely frustrating, likely for customer service as well. I am happy with the customer service agent I dealt with. I gave an extra star because the snacks I have tried so far have been tasty and the homegood that they sent this month is well made and very cute. I just wish that it was delivered properly and undamaged. I hope that Sakura.co will strive to make sure that this doesn't occur again.

Too much paper and plastic wrappings, no environmental friendly thus non-economical. The dehydrate crystal wrapped like a candy may mistakenly eaten by children, specially they are in Japanese that hardly anyone understand.
