“Delivery is accurate and packaged non-descript to make for a great surprise for gifts. Snacks are great and not really available in US shops and make a great nostalgic gift to Japan.”
“Bought this for my boyfriend for a Christmas present. Came a day early than estimated. Heaps of snacks with a book filled with descriptions of each snack. Price was very reasonable as buying foreign snacks is normally $7+ each around my area. Will definitely buy again.”
“The box came with a wonderful assortment of items and tastes, as well as a descriptive guide that told both ingredients and history behind each item. I have a severe allergy to sesame seeds and was delighted to see that the box outlined what items had them as well as other allergens.”
“Got this for my daughter for her 17th birthday a 6 month sub. We just got box 2 and it was just as fun as box 1!! I think this is the best gift she's gotten!! Everything has been tasty and packaged so cutely. The apple hard candy was personal favorite :)”
“I just received my first box last week, and am now hooked! I love all of the little treats, both savory and sweet! The packaging is always lovely like the cute little Amaou Strawberry Almond packages look like little strawberries and the Bekko Ame candy package has a Daruma on the front of it. There are also a few non-food items as well. For example, in this box, there was a cute little mug with a Daruma on the front. I also love that there is a guide booklet to explain the different treats and there is information about the specific area in Japan that is the theme for the monthly box. I cannot wait until my next box arrives next month! Thank you.”
“We were interested in trying new foods from Japan. Our Sakuraco box provided a wonderful assortment of tastes and textures. We would definitely recommend this subscription.”
“Fast delivery and good selection of goods. I use to live in Tochigi so this made me nostalgic and miss my old home. Strawberry is a huge thing in Tochigi so I would have loved a few more strawberry goods.”
“It looks amazing! Very happy with this purchase compared to the other japanese snack boxes. These feel more traditional and comes with some cute things you can actually use! I love the teas!”
“I received my first Sakuraco box a few days ago and I am in love! I have Japanese ancestors, so this was a nice way to experience the place where my family is from. Everything that was inside was delicious and I got to learn more about Japan. I'll definitely be signing up for the next box.”
“I learned about Sakuraco boxes by watching Mike Chen and decided to purchase the December box. It came in the mail yesterday. I was surprised at the variety of treats. My first selection was strawberry almonds. The coating was light and crunchy with a sweet strawberry taste -- and aroma because once I opened the cute packaging I could smell the strawberries. I love how Sakuraco brilliantly and intriguingly packaged each treat. I am thankful that some of the products have duplicates! Marrying the art, culinary, and history in this box is extraordinary. I've decided to savor my treats slowly by trying one treat a day and reading and reflecting on the history. The home good is beautiful. I enjoyed reading about the history of the Furoshiki Wrapping Cloth and the instructions on how to use the wrapping cloth. I will wrap a Christmas present with it.
Thank you for curating the December box. I look forward to more boxes and building my knowledge about the various regions of Japan.”
“A lot of the sweeter snacks tasted really good. My personal favorite was the strawberry flavored thing, it was SOO good. I personally didn't like the savory ones. I haven't try their tea yet but it looks good. The design on the furoshiki wrapping cloth was STUNNING! It truly is a piece of art. Overall, it was good.”
“I absolutely love receiving my monthly Sakuraco box. Each one is full of amazing high quality snacks and one adorable homeware item. I'm a huge fan of traditional Japanese culture and the monthly themes of the sakuraco boxes are always so well thought-out and original. Each box comes with a booklet that explains the origin of each item, as well as some more information on that months theme, which is a treat. The variety is what's really special about Sakuraco, especially the homeware, each month is unique. It's a great way to either introduce yourself to Japanese culture, or to further emerse yourself if you're an existing fan like me!”
“I received my boxes of snacks as a birthday gift from my 3 sons and their wives. I took my box with me to a Winery and shared it with one of my sons. We sat outside and sipped wine and opened the box and selected some snacks to enjoy. Everything we chose was delicious. We loved reading the booklet that came with the box. It is fun to see what it was we were snacking on. I will say that everything in the October box was not disappointing. As I tried each item I wrote in the booklet how I felt about each snack..good..delicious..yummy etc. I love the ceramic bowl.”
