“This was our second box from Sakuraco and we were excited when it arrived at our doorstep. We opened the box with excited anticipation, wondering what goodies were hidden inside this month. After exploring the contents, voting on which item to open and enjoy first - we set-up afternoon tea in our garden. We enjoyed the delights of New Year in Nigata in the shade of our Australian backyard in sweltering 35 degree temperature and Kookaburra's laughing in the background; reading about winter in Nigata! This box is a treat for the senses. We stepped out of the rush of everyday life to stop and savour the foreign tastes, smells, textures and presentation of the treats. We are still undecided on our favourite item this month - a hard choice as it was all delicious. We particularly loved the Bakauke Sesame Rice Crackers, Konjac Yokan and Matcha Anko Dorayaki. As we made iced tea to enjoy with our snacks, we used the Sake Cup as a vase to decorate our table with summer daisy. A great way to spend our afternoon creating beautiful memories with family.”

I didn't like the Ajigonomi I thought it was going to be sardine flavor not actual dried sardines in it I wish there was instructions on how to prepare the tea I had to Google it . For some reason I had it in my mind you get chopsticks in every order so I was disappointed when I got the sauke cup and no chop sticks I don't drink alcohol but it was a very good box”

Momiji cookies with lovely shape of maple leaves .. it was so nice and delicious.
Autumn Genmai tea was the best tea flavour i tasted in my whole life.. the aroma of genmai tea and roasted brown rice blend was unbelievable.
Cream filled Momiji Manju : i love manju so much and this was maple leaf shaped
I loved all the savoury snacks specifically the hand grilled tako senbie,okonomi five rice snacks and tamari soy sauce senbei
I'm deeply in love with mochi and yokan
One item i didn't like very much " lightly salted soybeans" .. it didn't match my taste”
