The chopsticks I received are beautifully crafted, all the food remained fresh despite it shipping directly from Japan and taking a few weeks. Everything even down to how it was packaged was wonderful. 10/10 recommend.”
“Of the 4 boxes I ordered, this was definitely the weakest one.
The Momji & Chestnut Wagashi had an unpleasant texture, the Fried Ginkgo Nuts were only extremely bitter rather than lightly salty and subtly bitter.
The Nikki Yatsuhashi and Kitsune Senbei were extremely hard (despite tasting quite good) and the Nikki Yatsuhashi were a lot more cinnamon-y than expected.
The rest was quite good though, just the ratio of treats that were enjoyable vs treats that weren't was less one-sided”

“I just received my first beautiful box from Sakuraco. It brings back such nostalgic emotions and memories of the time I spent growing up in Japan. I truly miss those times.
My mother was Japanese and married a young American sailor. They lived in my grandfather’s home with my grandmother and young uncle and aunt. I was born shortly after and welcomed into a joyous family and neighborhood. We left Japan when I was two years old and returned to America. Ten years later we were able to move back to Japan and see Moms family again. My father was able to keep us in Japan for seven years until after I graduated from high school.
I loved growing up in Japan. The people are so kind and friendly and the country is beautiful beyond compare. What feelings I had as I opened the box! I can’t deny that it brought tears to my eyes. Japan still feels like home.
Ishikawa prefecture has suffered devastating loss but the people’s spirit and determination will restore it to its former beauty and prosperity. There is no doubt in my mind, and I know it in my heart that.
