SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. SAMi will not only reliably alert you to abnormal movement, but automatically records high quality video and audio of the event, providing invaluable video evidence for Neurologists, Epileptologists, and other Healthcare providers to accurately diagnose and prescribe effective treatment plans. “Life would be so much different without the Sami 3 Alert system. This has given us some peace of mind when our child is sleeping and allows us to get some much-needed rest ourselves. “I love the Sami and have finally been able to sleep knowing that my son’s seizures will be captured. Unfortunately, the picture is not super clear as my son has a canopy bed. The camera wouldn’t work at all when mounted on the wall as the instructions indicated, so I had to try just laying the camera flat on the top canopy of the bed, looking down at him. It’s not stable and not ideal, but it does still capture plenty of movement.”

“The SAMi has given us the parents another tool to monitor seizures at night while the kiddo is sleeping. If this unit is set up properly to read your child’s body movements it truly gives you a peace of mind. The SAMi has woken both parents up with seizure alarm when it has occurred during sleeping and is truly a god send.”

“I purchased the Sami about 1 year ago since it seems to be the only camera that can assist in tracking any possible night seizures . This gives me some peace of mind when I’m not in the same room and the ability to track the duration and assess these random occurrences. Definitely something to have if your family is going through such events”

“Camera quality is very clear! The recordings are super helpful to review my son’s night. Still working on the thresholds as the camera picks up every movement which is great for safety but not great if the alarm is going off for a fly. We feel our son is safer with the SAMi”

“The SAMi has truly been a life saver from when we first received it 4 years ago and especially now. Our daughter is currently 18 and her seizures has worsened. With the Sami she can have independence to sleep on her own and we as her parents can have peace of mind knowing we can effectively monitor her (see/hear) at night.”

“Par rapport aux concurrents du marché dans la détection des crises d'épilepsie, c'est plutôt pas mal car cela détecte différents types de crises d'épilepsie et pas seulement les crises tonicocloniques, contrairement aux capteurs de mouvements à placer sous le matelas ou les capteurs de rythme cardiaque ou saturation en oxygène à porter, qui en plus sont plus invasifs. Mais il y a des points qui pourraient être améliorés : la qualité de l'image, l'intuitivité du paramétrage, la possibilité de dessiner une zone de détection personnalisée pour les personnes épileptiques qui partagent leur chambre avec d'autres, et proposer l'application en diverses langues.”

“We love SAMi and all its features! Having a daughter whose seizures are mainly nocturnal has been hard as a parent. You want to be in the know of what is going on through the night with your child and have the assurance that you aren’t miss anything. Being able to make settings catered to our situation is incredibly helpful. Also having the footage to show doctors has been pivotal for us to truly explain what things really look like through the night and how often. I also love that this isn’t a monthly subscription. There are already so many financial hardships to go through and to have footage and documentation without having to pay monthly is a blessing. We definitely sleep a lot better knowing we have the right resources to assist our 12 year old by allowing her to have her own space in her room but also allowing us to monitor her nocturnal epilepsy.”

“Our neurologist recommended the SAMi camera to us to rule out epilepsy. My daughter was having some abnormal facial movements while sleeping paired with a questionable EEG. The camera gave me so much peace of mind. I did have to play with the sensitivity alarm a bit only bc my daughters movements were smaller facial movements. Would recommend to anyone!”

“This product is a life saver. I can know sleep at night and my son be safe. Used to have a lot of sleepless nights. The peace of mind that the Sami gives my family is life changing. It is simple to use and install. The app is amazing as well. Sami makes everything simple so that you don’t have to worry about installation or how to use it. My son 10 is know able to sleep in his room alone with out mom or dad hovering over him to make sure he is not seizing at night.”
