SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. “The SAMi is very alert and also gives flexibility and options. I can hear sound or turn it off. Schedule times. Very clear picture. Even after years. We have a wonderful tech support family who helps when they can. I still have to figure out how to connect so I can show or email videos to our neurologist. Also wish there was a more secure network , even though it is a separate network to run it on. Don’t even want to think if anybody has tried to ever hack into it. Since we are watching our 16 year old, it seems very invasive, but unfortunately necessary to keep him safe and alive. Currently watching and listening for certain symptoms to decide if certain tests are necessary. All in all the SAMi 3 has been a game changer. It was our first support and peace of mind while also waiting for a Service Dog. Before SAMi 3 I have slept every night on the floor next to my son’s bed , if there was sleep to be had. I think it makes us all feel safer and gives us an opportunity to get a little sleep. I was finally able to sleep or be in my own bed while having the SAMi watch him and at the very least I could close my eyes and rest in between events. I would recommend to everyone in need of health monitoring who may need this for support, peace of mind. It is an absolute necessity item. A Service Dog is not for everyone, as it takes a lot of work and we are 2 caretakers on one patient. But the SAMi doesn’t need much work at all after the initial set up. If you can make the set up and settings a little easier (I have still not figured out how to set the time or date, we received it preprogrammed through a grant) THANK YOU , SAMi 3 for keeping my son alive and providing him help immediately when he needs it and giving us some relief during this dreaded and scary disease. Also, we have an iPod as Monitor, sometimes I wish the picture was a little bit bigger , like a tablet.”

“Sami has been a game changer for us. Night times were always a very anxious time, being worried to miss anything. Sami gives us the comfort that if something were to happen we would know about it and deal with it. You can set the sensitivity and time which I think is brilliant as it means it doesn’t go off constantly throughout the night for no reason. It’s easy to use and easy to set up. I would recommend this product every single time!”

“I am very impressed with the SAMi camera- it gives us peace of mind and has allowed my 11 year old son to sleep in his own room again. I like how I can customise the sensitivity to movement- it means we can pick up on both partial and generalised seizures and the alarm hasn't let us down. The function to keep videos to send to his consultant has also been fantastic. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking after someone with epilepsy.”

“We acquired the SAMi3 system for our autistic & epileptic child in March 2023. The software for replaying the recorded videos (as part of the SAMi3 software package) is not stable, and hangs up periodically, requiring a reboot of the system. This continues happening even after updating the software per the advice of the SAMi3 team. Since it is a very expensive investment, we are reluctant to dump it, and continue suffering through the hiccups it keeps having.”

“Sami has given me a peace of mind whether I am sleeping or doing errands around the house, I know Sami will alert me if my son has seizures of muscle spasms. I love the record function so I can send videos to his neurologist if I have questions. You can also set it to how sensitive you want Sami to be, how much movements you want it to detect and what level of sound you would want your onto alert you.”

“I love this camera! My son has a genetic disorder called Dravet syndrome and it has given me peace of mind. I sleep next to him so I do catch the seizure before the camera but if I didn’t I do believe the camera would pick it up. I love all the features! Especially the fact that it saves the video incase I need to show it to my son’s neurologist.”
