“£1400 was paid into my account yesterday, by direct bank transfer from Amazon and therefore already cleared. But it is showing as not cleared and I cannot access my funds. MY funds, not Santander's. I was told they needed to carry out security checks which is absolute rubbish. I've emailed them and posted on their facebook page and phoned and all the response I get is that they are investigating. I want my money. I don't want an investigation. My son is special needs and lives in supported housing. Since the pandemic, he cannot go out and has had his meals cooked for him. I cannot pay the bill for this because Santander has my money. I have important bills to pay which I can't pay. This is theft, pure and simple. I am furious. I have put in a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman but I won't hold my breath.”
“They aren’t deserved even 1 star from me. This his the most racist bank in Spain, besides BBVA. I am Asian. Anytime i went there for any services, they saw me and ignored me, left me waiting till whenever their customers done. First time I didn’t know that, I didn’t think they were treating me by their racist thought, i was standing to wait till the end. I felt very bad, i talked to my friends, who had the same experience, they told me that was racist problem. After that, i have had many bad experiences with them. Such as, i was entering the security machine, they blocked me there, ignored that they didn’t see me to unlock the machine’s door, i was staying there try to knock the door with my scary feeling, until they opened it, the office is very small, ofcoz they saw me but just played it. Another time, i came there early, waited in the line, until not yet 12am to get to the cashier place, then she said “sorry we can’t take any more service for cashier ‘s money, but if they closed why they let me line up in the line to go to cashier? Until nearly one hour waiting for their “ slow service”??? They could not tell me that the cashier not work but let me wait? And yes, it was about racist! And today, 25/02/2021, at Santander Cth.Canillas 70, this is the office that has made all those problems to me as i have told you, and after today i decide to decline their service forever in my life! I went their this morning, took the number, waited for the CS tables, which has 2 tables only, there not many people waiting, i have been nearly 1 hour waiting for those 2 tables, until my turn, the woman in the table near the window standed up and left for meal?!? At 12:50pm??? Then the other woman who seated in the table inside, she was still with one customer, i was very angry already, but i decides to wait for her, then after awhile, suddenly a woman customer appeared, seems they know each other, because the CS woman hadn’t said a word such as “buenas” to me, but she said “buenos días” very friendly with the woman, anyway i was waiting still, then the CS woman told that customer to take the number and . After she finished with the customer, i was standing waiting infront of her, but she waved the woman customer to come to her table??? I was shocked, i showed my wonder by look at her, she looked at me and just moved her hand to make “a signal” to tell me to wait??? Wth!?? OMG! I was just wanting to stand to her table and shout, but i was just leaving, i thought that kind of people and service don’t deserved for any words from me, i am a bit pity because I didn’t at least say something to let them know how horrible they are. But anyway, I cannot believe this is how the “best bank in Spain” service is! Please stop saying they’re the best, they really NEED TO FEEL ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES TO THINK THEY ARE THE BEST! I was cheated by BBVA bank in Spain, to pay a lot of money for nothing, just because of their cheating CS, they may be racist too. But SANTANDER BANK IS DEFINITELY RACIST BANK! “Wow never in my life have I ever been treated so badly by an organisation. Stay clear of santander when you complain to them for a mistake there branch made on your account they barr you from branch and give you 60 days to find another account as they are closing yours down then when you switch to another bank using the switching from new bank they reject the switch . When you make an official complaint for the bad treatment the complaints department call you back and lie they couldn't speak to there staff involved as they were on holiday and by chance the recorded phone call by there branch manager being rude and unprofessional happens to have disappeared.”
“Santander bank promises to protect their customers and our money. Two weeks ago while making legitimate purchases in my city of Brooklyn NYC, Santander bank shut off my debit card THREE times in 2 days and I had to verify my purchases. How embarrassing. However, a week later, somebody "skimmed my card and made over $500 of unauthorized purchases 800 miles away in Philadelphia PA. Not only did Santander bank not notify me, shut off my card, but allowed these purchases and told me to file a claim with them. After filing the claim, Santander Bank decided to only give me $25.00 back from the fraudulent purchases. This is an insult to me and every customer who decided or will decide to use this bank. DO NOT USE SANTANDER BANK! SANTANDER BANK WILL NOT PROTECT YOUR MONEY. I asked to speak to a manager and my request was denied. I have now spent over an hour and a half on hold trying to speak to a manager.No one will help me. DO NOT BANK AT SANTANDER. THIS BANK IS THE WORST!!!”

My paper work was lost by the requesting agency, and Santander decided to pile on to the complication by being a pain in my a$$ trying to get the paper work needed to proceed. E V E R Y T I M E I call I'm given another obstacle by Santander to complete before I can receive paperwork needed to register my vehicle in another state. I'm on hold for hours and no body seems to know what to do, nobody cares that i'm paying for a car *8 months* for something that I can't drive and can't register. “I recently opened a credit card with SANTANDER. My account was frozen at my request when they they prompted me to a transaction which was over the limit that I had requested. This was good. However after the issue was resolved I attempted to reinstate my account. After numerous attempts over a 5 day period I decided to lodge a complaint. After 1 hour on the phone they still said I needed to do it myself and they could talk me through the process over the phone. I said that because of my hearing and physical disabilities this could not be done. They reiterated that this was the only option. I was therefore forced to close the account. Where is their policy on disability discrimination?.”

Something else like this happened when My mate was taking money out of my bank and got them done for fraud but the bank done nothing. my 86 year old mother wants a mobile phone to keep in touch with friends and family.long story short,her bank Santander won’t allow it as they have to send a code to her mobile for security.but of course it’s a mobile she’s trying to buy so she hasn’t got it yet for a code to be sent to.
Santander have blocked her purchase saying it could be fraud.
there is no way for her to buy a phone on contract while she is with Santander even though it’s her money and her choice.
they are beyond hopeless and I’m now going to help my mother change banks”

Froze my family's accounts after a £136 deposit. no access to money now for food or bills. cannot buy groceries or do anything. despicable way to treat a customer. ive been caught in their algorithm dragnet for suspicious payments (although it is not). so im now being treated as a criminal. I am working professional trainer and I'm being treated like a criminal which is not on. They won't tell me why my account is locked or when it will be unfrozen.
