If i coukd give no stars, i would!!!! Customer service is shocking. My sofa arrived 2 months after the date we were expecting it, the only communication with regards to where our sofa was was us ringing and emailing for up dates. When the sofa finally arrived.....there was no bolts!!!! I rang to complain and the response i got from the man on the phone was ' its not my fault '!!! I have been passed around different departments , put on hold and then to the back of the waiting line ans my first apology was from the 5th person i spoke to. I have had my new sofa in my lounge in its cardboard for the last 2 weeks as no bolts and no where to store it. AVOID SCS. I am sending my sofa back and will be using a more reliable company, with no doubt better customer service skills!!!!

Now on my 3rd Abby love chair. Each time something different in just one year. I really want my settee taken away as it's so frustrating

Quality of so called top brand (Lazy boy) Sofa and chair is very poor,dont know who inspects or monitors the production but the brand name is very apt !.Filling of various parts eg foot rest pads ,arms and other padded areas is very uneven (probably made by sub contractors or untrained upholsterers.)Fabric is twisted in places as a woven in line that they could not even keep straight. The head office "quality" team just fob you off,technician agreed but said "They are all like this "you will need to keep on to head office (More or less saying they will never deal with complaints in a professional way ! how true) Dealing with the stores is like a throw back to the 60 & 70 s,hard sell grab your money ,staff product and warranty knowledge very poor.just out to sell and sell the expensive warranty add ons ! (Commission) Will never shop with this LOT again,and will now refer the matter to Trading Standards and Credit Card Company,no doubt the add on warranty will be worthless if we need it.

Useless customer service and lying sales advisors. Strongly avoid if you want to avoid disappointment. Failed to deliver several times. Resulting on unpaid unproductive days off. Still no sofa!!!!

Waited all day so far & still waiting for carpet fitter! Utter useless, got a phone call at 3:20pm to say he is now leaving East London, we live in Mid Suffolk!!! Got another call just after 5pm to say he’ll be here at 7pm. All day waiting in for someone who couldnt be bothered to phone first thing in the morning to explain he’ll be late! Very unprofessional, & when i called SCS, they couldnt care less if id been waiting all day or all week. Bastards.

Only giving one because I can't give 0. Utterly horrific customer service. If you order a sofa from here expect long delays, short notice and limited delivery slots which they threaten to not give you your sofa if you can't accept the two work days they offer in a month, dude employees and a whole day wasted waiting on. Not worth it and I will never use SCS again. Firstly, stores cannot even match their own online prices. I was told blatantly that unless I was spending big money, they would take any money off even to only match their online prices. Nice to know that £1000 is chump change to them. I then had a member of staff threaten to cancel my order because I couldn't commit ahead of time to be available for any date in the week I was offered (delivery slot 7am til 7pm). I had to speak to his manager to stop him cancelling. I assume he wanted to cancel it because I didn't take out extra insurance or extras and it would look better on his targets if my order didn't exist. Then the delivery was delayed (no contact) and it took 10 weeks not 6-8. And then was offered only two days in the month they could deliver which I had to accept. I ended up needing to cancel loads of important meetings to accommodate them to take short notice holiday. All customer service contact was rude in the extreme. I was made to feel that they were doing me a favour, taking my money. Unbelievable from such a large company. I will never use SCS again and warn anyone thinking of buying from them to do the same.

Wish I could give zero stars, as one is one to many. Well ScS Sofas have done us proud .... NOT. Our leather sofa started to split on the piping (under 6m old), when they came out they said it needed a new cover on one of the chairs. Came out to fit the new cover .... wrong material. They then cut out a bit of the leather from the front of the chair, to get a match. Came out again and yes you guest it, wrong cover again. Cut another bit from the front of the chair. After 4/5 visits over 6 months, said it would be best to get a replacement or a refund. Went for a refund, as they are a nightmare to deal with, even the CEO or his office refuse to reply to emails. Ordered a new suite from another company 10/12 weeks till delivery. Told this to ScS Sofas (Watford, United Kingdom) and the managers answer was if you don't accept the refund now, we will withdraw the refund offer. Thank you ScS Sofas (Watford, United Kingdom) we are now using 2 beanbags and a small chair or dining room chairs or we bring in the garden furniture for the next 10 weeks or so.

I can't give SCS a rating 1 out of 5 except - 10. Most unreliable company I've ever purchased from never again. Delivery dates booked an no items delivered. Twice. No call to say items not in warehouse. Just don't turn up. This company doesn't give a monkeys about the people spending money in there stores. A JOKE.

Paid for the carpets and fitting service to keep the cost down. Booked them to take the measurements. However, end up with paying nearly the double of the carpet cost, due to incorrect measurements. I have some spare carpet left, which is good enough re carpet my 2 bedroom. This is absolutely wasting of money. I’m still waiting for them to finish my stairs. This also, I can see there are two much carpets they already delivered to my house. I paid cash for my carpets and new sofa in ScS, but money I paid for the carpets looks double the actual cost due to wastage. I advise please get few quotes before you decide, ScS is not the only place do carpets.

Order was late and still waiting on items . Incorrect information given at time of order . 4 different dates for an item and still waiting . Will not shop there again

Warranty not being accepted by SCS as given at the time of purchase of 10 years. The Lazyboy corner unit purchased December 2012(£3400) and after 3 years Lazyboy came out to add extra padding on part of the seating area. But again the same part that has now gone again. I paid(£60) for one of the technicians to come and see for themselves, but he said it was fair, wear and tear and would not do anything about it unless I paid more money to get it corrected. So I think the warranty that is given is absolutely rubbish and I will make sure that I will not purchase anymore furniture from SCS as being this had been my 3rd purchase and I will make sure that any of my friends do not buy from SCS

Absolute disgrace and so unprofessional! I ordered my sofa a YEAR ago ! Once it arrived we noticed tape marks on the suede where it had been wrapped up incorrectly, we had to then have a day off work for an engineer to tell us it couldn't be fixed so we had to wait another 6 weeks for a new sofa. We had a 4 seater and a Swivel chair. The new sofa arrived and the Swivel chair was a different shade of grey to the rest. Over months of going back and forth trying to sort this they eventually said they could work out the batch and replace this. They said they'd send the material out but that never turned up and then they sent a square cushion when we needed a circular! We then had to speak to SCS birstall where we orgianlly ordered the sofa from to try sort this out. After many phone calls speaking to a manager they just kept saying we'll get someone to call you back and never did ! When I spoke to one manager he said i'll never have to speak to anyone again he'll sort this, 10 days later he moved to another branch and I had to start from the beginning and speak to someone else! I then spoke to Richard at Birstall who was so unhelpful ! This has taken a year and they eventually decided to give me a new sofa only becuase i then had to email head office! It was wrong so they should fix it, no way this should have taken so long ! If you call someone numerous times and they say we'll call you back, i expect that ! so rude and unprofessional ! The receptionist even lied to me saying we've called you today and I had to show my phone log to prove that no one had called. Do not trust them at all ! There quick to sell you the sofa but if theres anything wrong with it you've got a battle on your hands! I will never ever walk into an SCS store ever again, its the worst company ! They really need to learn some customer service skills ! if there managers are so unhelpful then theres no hope for any of the staff ! AVOID !!!!!

We ordered a carpet 2 months ago and STILL not fitted. Phone calls not answered . 3 different managers in that time . Carpet hadn't even been ordered until this week! Now had a call saying fitter has a bad knee and can't come - no alternative suggested! Very unhelpful,unprofessional ,and an upsetting experience all round. £1000 carpet and the order was just forgotten! They charge extra to help move furniture and won't remove old carpet. later found Dovetail do for free. Avoid scs at all costs .

Lovely carpet and great customer service at Scs in Cardiff. However, two gentleman who came to fit the carpet left a very inappropriate surprise in our toilet. Feces were left in and around the toilet and they used flannels and towels to clean themselves which were found in our been. Not happy at all.

If we could give a minus review we would have. After 5 months of sheer INCOMPETENCY, we cancelled our order, the manager is quick to sell then ignores you. Back in December we ordered a 3 and 2 sofa, paid our deposit.. We were given an initial 12 week lead time.. Nearer the date we called for an update, the delivery dates had been pushed back... After 3 additional changes to the dates we then discovered they had ordered the wrong sofas, they also had our details incorrect on their system. I spent 6 hours on the phone to their head office being bounced around different department answer machines... Eventually the regional manager got on the phone, promised the world apologised, then he himself messed up our details and told us there would be further delays. This went on for weeks, we then escalated the complaint to a senior manager who in turn ended up being equally incompetent. ScS sells sofas and carpets, yet they can't do a simple task such as order and deliver a sofa. If you have got this far, we ended up cancelling the order and getting a refund. There is light at the end of the tunnel, we happened by chance to bump into Sofa Club who had a pop up location in Redhill mall, we spoke to James the sales manager, told him our story. We went to their store in Crawley mall, within 7 days we had a new 3 and 2 sofa, which has turned out to be far more comfortable that the Scs one... Even better it was a third of the price. My vote goes to James at Sofa Club Crawley. Up yours Scs!

This company is an absolute disgrace. Found defects with my lazy boy sofas which because I reported it less than a week before the 1 year warranty ran out they were totally in interested in helping as was lazy boy. Even though you can see the defect had not just happens and was like this for some time which I was monitoring to see if this improved which it didn’t. Had previously Bought a DFS sofa and they even come out a year after the warranty had finished at no additional cost. There call centre is extremely rude and closes before there advertised time when trying previously to claim. Refused to escalate my issues to a manager. There salesman in there showroom advise you with lazy boy you are covered on everything for years but I would suggest checking the small print as we have now been miss sold insurance. approach this company with caution
