After promising 5 week delivery arrives 8 weeks, with drivers that have not got a clue, they slate the product and say "these are made of crap", after just paying a lot of money to be told that, not good. The drivers walk in with muddy shoes all over baby stuff on the floor, not leave screws that are needed to put together, then trying to get through to customer service to tell them needing the screws the driver did not leave and complain, they are not interested. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY !!!!

Dreadful service. Carpets not delivered on agreed date. We had stripped the bedrooms bare, apart from grippers, only to be told on the evening of the expected delivery date (after several chasing phone calls) that the carpets were not actually even ready. Awful customer service and misleading reviews on Trustpilot. Many reviews are for goods ordered but not yet actually received or delivered. Seems to tie in with a competition to post a review on Trustpilot and win the cost of your order back. Then used for a national advertising campaign. Unethical and misleading. Non existent after sales customer service.

I have currently had no option but to take legal action against SCS which is now ongoing . I would never buy anything from them again , the leather settees and armchair purchased at a significant cost have a leather fault with the 'laminate' peeling- not a very attractive sight as the leather is chocolate brown and I now have large peach coloured patches where it has peeled . An independent report which I had no alternative but to seek (and pay for !) has concluded the fault is a manufacturer issue. SCS after sales is almost non existant - they are either dismissive or they do not respond at all !. I have followed the correct protocols as advised by Citizens Advice and even with legally worded letters and time frames I have been met with silence so clearly they as a company do not want to take either responsibility for faulty products they sell OR reasonable customer service - they are also NOT a member of the Furniture Ombudsman. Beware for spending your money with SCS.

I ordered my sofa 24 August still waiting for delivery phoned them on many time this week been phoning last two days they don't pick the phone up to answer your call I phone there head office up guess what nothing, they said it up to the store I brought my sofa from I said that I already done that he said he email the shop for me I told him they won't respond I still haunt heard of them when I ordered my sofa they said it would take up to 12 weeks but they normally come before that time 1 angry customer

EDIT: Since posting last night, SCS have retracted their offer to exchange. They then re-offered the exchange less a return fee of £153.60 and less the value of the opened packet of £65.94. This offer is not acceptable. There is no reason that we should incur a fee for returning an unsuitable product which was recommended by SCS. Further there is no reason the single opened box cannot be resealed. It is almost admirable how far SCS will go to drive away customers.

Disgusting company. Top-click tiles were delivered a week late. After delivery, 3 fitters said it is an awful product for bathrooms (difficult to cut resulting in an unsightly finish) and another handful of fitters who outright refused to touch top-click. We were never told this by SCS, who also misinformed us that the top-click system meant easier repairs than other LVT types which was a lie. We went back for a refund, and stood in the shop for over half an hour before the manager would speak to us. She had a terrible attitude, was extremely uncooperative and outright refused us a refund despite there being NOTHING in the contract which stated so. She simply said they don't do refunds on top click because of an SCS agreement with a third party manufacturer. We said that their agreements with a third party is unrelated to the contract we signed - that contract did not mention refunds are impossible. She replied that the contract we signed is more tailored towards carpets (which we also bought from them) and the LVT is different. Why aren't there two contracts then? She shrugged, did not show a morsel of sympathy towards our frustration, and failed to address the fact that our contract didn't reflect what she was claiming. I asked to speak to her manager and she said there is nobody above her. Her responses were condescending and she deflected any responsibility flying her way. She offered an exchange, even having the cheek to upsell £300 of extra materials and acted extremely smug that there is no way of us getting out of this contract. This company is calculating, uncooperative and an outright joke. Avoid SCS like the plague.

As soon as they have your money, the "fitted within 7 days" offered all around the store is not available and will be over 2 weeks, rubbish service and will never use again. Offer is still being offered in store

avoid !!! Customer service shocking ordered my carpet given a date only to be told it will be around another 2 weeks told them i want a refund said call back in an hour still waiting.My mum just had same problem is i should have known.I once ordered a rug and hat never turned up.

How this company is still in business is amazing. Please do not use this company if you need a trustworthy and reliable company. We ordered over £ 2,000 of furniture and carpets. The Hull branch lied to us on delivery, delayed delivery and when they delivered the carpet it was over 1 metre short. We are still waiting for furniture to be delivered. Once the staff have taken your money then they really do not care. There must be many good companies out there that do care about the customer. I am sure there are many people like me that have had the same level of service.

Ordered a 3 & 4 seater sofa and footstool and table, had it delivered within approx 8 weeks (except table, which is not coming until mid December). Requested 3 seater be assembled in lounge, given delivery date, 4 seater arrived - we paid for foam - hollow fibre received!! Footstool - every foot damaged!! Delivery guy reported issues immediately, told me someone was going to ring me back - nothing!! I rang store and was told it would be sorted out and scs would be in touch...also asked where the 3 seater was - got told it was on its way!! 4.40pm got phone call to say they wouldn’t be able to deliver until the morning! Had to take another day off work! Had a call from scs to arrange new cushions for sofa - booked in for 13th Nov, apparently photos of the feet on footstool would be taken at this time (what a joke - it’s 4 feet for gods sake!) Just received a phone call from scs to say he’s not bringing our cushions, just coming to inspect it!! It’s 2 back cushions and 2 seat cushions in FOAM as ordered and PAID for. This is disgusting aftercare service and I am regretting ever buying from scs. I need this problem rectifying immediately - I can’t keep taking days off of work for this - it’s embarrasing!

Daughter ordered carpet & 2 recliner sofas.. Carpet was late fitting after saying they were coming at 10 ended arriving at 5.30!! Following day sofas should have been delivered before 3 they arrived late only to find they wouldn't fit in house after supposedly been measured by sales rep saying they would fit in house.. After many phone calls back to manager & sales rep who were rude on the phone didn't want to know just said leave them on garden and we will get someone to come out for £150 to take window out but couldn't say when...Wouldn't give refund and just said it was up to us to sort it out.. Disgusting....

The worst customer service ever... Have more hidden costs than aby other company.. We bought a sofa and it could not enter the house ... we have been told to pay 120 pounds for upholstery or else they have nothing to do about, apparently it's our fault not there's. . And on top of that the person we talked to was so far the most arrogant person I have ever meant.. This company needs a warning from the trading standard it's a rip off. All this happended at the BECKTON branch and I understand the arrogant employee is the assistant store manager.

Happy to take your money from the sale - not so good at continuing any level of customer service.. if you, have too, God forbid chase (and I am 99% sure you will have to...) their treatment of you changes to cold, annoyed (that you have dared chase your order - 4 weeks on !) .. and condescending. Totally inadequate, rubbish at explaining things and add a (hidden) delivery fee which is payable on receipt of delivery via "CASH" - because of course our home in Kent falls outside of their delivery area (huge lol) seeing as there are outlets near us too - loads (we are nr London too on top) but they don't keep stock apparently ANYWHERE. Wish we had gone elsewhere - what were we thinking! ITS CHRISTMAS SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wanted things done before then! told previously they don't deliver Saturdays however after today's (5th chaser) call "apparently" our order is heading to us this weekend - yeah right (#blatant porky-pies)- so anyone reading this - save yourselves the bother! and shop elsewhere ...........

It's one star because it won't go any lower I would advise anyone to avoid this shambles of a company Poor customer relations in respect of repairs on leather sofa chair and foot stool which were carried out three times after fourth repair man attended said manufacturing fault SCS solution to this was to recover the damaged areas in our own house This is totally unacceptable my house is not a workshop When speaking with SCS the attitudes of the females is see a lawyer

SCS put laminate floor boards in a living room 18 months ago which has started to chip badly along an edge of one board (it's clearly not flat and level at that edge). It's a place where there is only walking and no furniture being moved around. Contacted SCS and they confirmed we had a 10 year guarantee on the floor. The rep on the phone dismissed the photo evidence we supplied and said it was our fault and they were going to ignore our request to take the matter further. What a horrid meanie Company to deal with! We certainly won't be using them again and advise everyone to bypass them and fine a decent local company to work with.

Shocking service over 2k for a new sofa chair proffee all slightly wrong colour scs won't refund me or replace sofa never ever will I buy or purchase from here ever again be safe everyone go to dogs

Terrible customer services. All very friendly when you want our money but after clearly could not care a toss. I even got hassled by the salesperson as I was waiting for work to be completed before I could have my carpets laid. I spoke to a female at HQ to complain but her role is clearly to put you off form complaining and make you aware of how pointless it is. I had opted for 'free underlay' when I bought my carpets but it was so poor quality the fitters advised me not to use. I then went back to shop in Bradford Foster Square to try and get the alternative offer given to me though I could not recall it at the time. The very rude and unhelpful salesperson would not help me in my query and the best I got was for him to offer to drop off the unwanted carpet underlay at my house! Indeed I took this to be some sort of threat which he fulfilled and I had to have a very terse conversation with the carpet layer explaining I did not want the underlay delivering to my house. I recall the arrogant salesperson shouting at me once when I walked through the show room [ I was on my way in response to a harassing phone call to explain I wanted my carpets fitting AFTER I'd had my work done which I had explained from the beginning] asking if I had come to pay up the full amount. So rude! But he was showing off for his underlings I think. So nil out of ten if possible. I will do my best to tell everybody this.

I purchased a carpet from SCS, great delivery and fitting, then after a couple of months my beautiful stripped carpet is now zig zag lines, SCS expert did come out very quickly to evaluate the problem, today I received a letter that informs me my carpet is bleeding due to wear. After putting out on social media I can’t believe all the shocking experiences people have had with this company with carpets. My review is to make people aware that SCS aftercare is shocking for a big company. I am now left with my wonky line carpet going up the stairs that I paid over £500 for.

Just recently purchased a Lazyboy settee and chair from the Wednesbury store, and spending £1500 and waiting 7 weeks wait for delivery, on the day of delivery the delivery driver informed us that he would not bring up the items. up the stairs due health and safety, and informed us that the settee would have to go back and be dismantled by an upholsterer for him to take the back off, and for this service I would have to pay £120...One week later the upholsterer returned with the settee and chair for the settee to be re-assembled .I would not recommend this procedure to anyone as it is never the same once this has been done.(This was recommended by the in store salesman and manager ans stated it would be better than new). After a couple of days we noticed several things wrong with both items, they looked slightly odd as they had been overfilled and looked and felt lumpy nothing like the one we saw in the shop.also the several staples sticking out which were very dangerous. after making a formal complaint to the store and head office, we had a visit from one of their technicians to confirmed and agreed that it was faulty, I requested a full refund as it was on 3 weeks old, the management seemed very reluctant to do this and offered us a replacement ( No way ). But I insisted on my rights to a full refund, finally they agreed and I got that after about 2 weeks. Lessons Learnt I will never buy anything again from SCS..
