Very very disappointing. Ordered £5k of carpets for new house. Complete fiasco on fitting day, they couldnt find the correct door bars, turned up 2 hours late. Ran out of time on the day, so have been left with 6 carpets and fitting materials in the landing, no follow up from them to rebook a fitter , I spent hours contacting and no resolution. I will report this to ombusdman, its an apalling lack of any form of customer service.

Lazy Boy Knoxville leather 2 seater sofa and chair purchased June 21 received November 21. Video in shop misleading by stating the origins of Lazy Boy made in Michigan USA and still are, which had us believing ours was coming from America. NOT TRUE : Member of staff told me the brunt of the Lazy Boy furniture is made in China which explains why it took so long to get to me. If I had been told where it was being manufactured I would not have purchased it and certainly not have paid almost £3500.00 for it. After only 2 month the chair seat cushions sunk and the leather stretched ( more than our previous 14 year old suite had ) later the sofa springs were squeaking and the wooden frame was giving off a cracking noise. We asked for our money back after a technician from SCS was sent out to inspect the furniture as it was not fit for purpose. A report from the technician stated the chair was ok but the fault with the sofa had to be repaired. Not True : It was the fault with the chair that originally gave us reason to complain with the sofa problems occurring later. We received a reply to say that we had to give SCS the right to repair the suite as we had been in possesion of it for more than 30 days. Not True : Read Lazy Boy problem part two. Having read of poor after sales help from SCS I decided to have my own independent inspection done before they did anything and told them so. I booked a date for the independent inspection to take place but it was not necessary as SCS agreed to collect the furniture and give me a full refund which I received today 11/3/22 personally I think that speaks volumes. I would also add that all the review sites for SCS give poor rating except TrustPilot who receive on average 1000 reviews eack week ( if they are genuine ) for SCS which show as 4.5/5, however, if you read them you will note they refer mostly to the delivery drivers and not to the product SCS are selling and poor reviews get swallowed up by the mass of good delivery reviews which I believe is a smokescreen to hide the truth. I was even asked to give feedback to trustpilot by a link after SCS had requested the same regarding the delivery men who took the suite away no mention of what was wrong or anything just how good were they at taking the furniture away, unbelievable !. My recent reviews on this subject have diasappeared into the masses in a matter of days so unless you are prepared to read through hundreds and hundreds of reviews you will never find them. Told my sofas were hard wearing but gave me a aftercare insurance the weave started snapping but they said it was not a manufacturing fault It was accidental damage the insurance said because I said I didn’t Know how it happened it was not covered not worth the paper it was wrote on don’t use SCS or the insurance they give .

Had a carpet fitted by scs and on leaving the inside of the property there was valuable items taken with them.

Terrible service. Came to measure for a hall/stair carpet then when it came to fitting, they had got the measurements wrong. Took ages to get a correctly sized piece for the hall and the whole thing was fitted badly. Treated with disdain when we asked for remedial work and are still waiting for the fitter to call back. Based on his previous dreadful work, we don't want him. Avoid at all costs.

Do not buy disgraceful after care service, insurance not worth the paper it’s wrote on , told covered accidental damage that’s rubbish had my sofa less than one year told by store manager it was hard wearing but that wasn’t true and when weave started snapping they said it was accidental and passed me to the insurance company who said no don’t cover that, the worst company ever keep well a way.

Do not have any dealings with this company we paid over £4,000 for a new serene carpet at nearly £56 a square yard and in 9 months since we bought it it looks 10 year's old worn old carpet and we have looked after it wearing no shoes ever indoors and we have no kids running around we complained to SCS thay sent a carpet surveyor who seid to us you will get all new carpets I am 99 per cent sure of this when the head office get my report the carpets are not fit for purpose .we have just had email from SCS flooring aftercare saying our carpet problems were due to local causes whatever that means we are going to trading standards and we are going to try to get the money back from credit card company that we paid for the carpets saying the carpets were not fit for purpose when we bought them 9 months ago from s c s. please don't find yourself s in our position stay well away from s c s and save yourself a lot of money and hassle.

Disgusting aftersales sevice, over 1 year trying to get satifaction from them, (seats on settee assembled 30mm out of line from new) quality and guarantee means nothing to anyone there, even CEO not interested. After 1 year the left hand settee arm literally fell off, with their nasty unhelfull attitude I was too afraid to contact them and paid for a local repairer to sort it out, the retaining bolts holding the arm on had not been fitted, don't know how it held on so long, (see picture attached) I implore potential customers to read reviews before considering purchasing from this Company

Absolutely awful experience, Carpet fitter had the wrong parts and has not come back to rectify the problem. Claims he had put a note through.I work from home so this old excuse of I knocked on simply does not work anymore. No note. It’s been a month. Called SCS on multiple occasions who just apologise and do nothing about it. Absolute joke . Do not use this service.

Absolutely awful service. I cannot advise enough not to purchase carpet through SCS. We placed an order in store and we explained we were moving to a new house. The Sales Exec advised us to place an order straight away based on floor plans as there was a delay in carpet production. He also offered us a discount if we did the deal there and then. 6 months later our carpet arrives and all the sizing is wrong. Instead of handling my complaint with an ounce of customer service, I was told I made the order at my own rush based on floor plans and wished me luck in raising this complaint any further. I now have £1,000s worth of carpets that do not fit and have joins because we cannot afford to buy it again. They are the worst company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with and would recommend going anywhere but SCS.

Everything! From the start trouble with delivering, finally received then after 3 months the paint started pealing and stitching coming away! The fact that it is bonded leather and NOT REAL LEATHER! Got a technician out to be told “I’m sitting on it too much, and kicking it” I kid you not!!! I took them to court and won!!!! All made in China now very poor quality even the lazy boy range, they will lie to your face blatantly I’ve NEVER had to deal with a shop so bad in my life look on fb at SCS complaints they owe thousands to people AVOID AVOID AVOID

Terrible service, don't reply to emails , lie, don't respond to complaints, hold on to your money! I'm awaiting refund for deposit for a no sofa £500! refund for a broken ring door bell that delivery drivers damaged £170! Delivery drivers ripped sofa trying to deliver which they said was a refused delivery! Compensation payment of £135! Just lies and lies that's from head of customer services Rachel browns department, ceo office Margaret doesn't get back to you either! I've provided ring door bell evidence too! Get a grip just avoid at all costs, I'm at my wits end! Sat on garden furniture for months! Shocking horrible experience no support! Nothing just a heap of lies and failings on the part of scs! I STILL HAVE NO REFUND!!!! NO REFUND!!! STILL HAVE NO REFUND!!!

So much rubbish came out of the salespersons mouth. Insurance isn’t worth the paper it’s written on. He said you’re covered for everything, in fact we are covered for nothing. Over priced rubbish furniture. Paid extra for better cushions, waste of money, furniture creaks, out of shape cushions, might as well be sitting on the floor. Go somewhere else do not buy this rubbish.

Ordered a footstool to go with the suite in December 2021. Delivery date keeps being changed - latest now arriving at distribution centre 14/3/22. Goodness knows when delivery date will be. I opened a chat online but when I was about to submit my query a message appeared that the operator named SAM had left the chat! Very unprofessional and very poor customer service.

Avoid at all costs. They were brilliant in their shop whilst taking my order and money for a few thousand pounds., But as soon as I had problems after that, they weren't in the slightest bit interested. Just getting pushed from pillar to post and they never do anything. Months of repeatedly contacting them and no further forward. Their customer service is non existent. SCS have proven to me that they produce shoddy sofas and when there is a fault they refuse to except it and refuse to fix the problem. I've been in contact with SCS trying to get them to repair a dicoloured sofa. I bought it as leather but when cleaned with the products scs provided the dye comes off the surface leaving a patchy mess. I may as well of paid for a plastic suite. All I want is a suite fit for purpose which i can be proud of and you can sit on without the brown dye coming away, even their insurance assor agreed with me. On evaluation it's a waste of my hard earned money as NHS front line staff.

6 months in with our new settee cushions going out of shape to the point they're uncomfortable, even after flipping them over. Had an inspector round and he even said they weren't right and agreed with us we opted for the cushion as apposed to foam as it was comfier and we've had settees in the passed that lasted alot longer than this cheap rubbish they've used. Anyway after the inspector finished and agreed with us and even said someone should be out to replace affected cushions the head office emailed saying it's down to 'normal wear' and not willing to do anything for us I won't be using scs again should of read the reviews of this rubbish company before hand but thanks for letting me know what a rubbish company you really are and customer satisfaction is something you don't care about

where to start .....disaster from the beginning...wrong name email address wrong, at point of sale. Delivery was a disaster, was supposed to receive it all together. Did not receive part of order until 96 hours later bang goes the 72 hour deadline. Laminate flooring not good quality two boxes were damaged.(more than likely when deliver man dropped them coming out the van). also the door ramp profiles facias are fablon. laminate easily chipped and scratched.I will not get 18 years out of this flooring.thats for sure. big disappointment. I am awaiting my sofa which to be honest I am dreading.
