I am APPALLED that such a well known company could offer such awful customer service. I ordered 2 bottles of Creed perfume, and the first delivery was clearly damaged. The box was leaking so I refused delivery. It had not been adequately wrapped which was why it was damaged. When I called customer services they said they would not be able to issue replacements only a refund once the items were received back at their depot. I had to reorder items to receive them in time. (I was ordering these for a wedding happening in a few days). I repaid for the same items again, and when the package arrived there was only one bottle of perfume, not two as ordered. This was also badly packed with one box of aftershave rattling around in an enormous box with no protective packaging. We were also not asked to sign for the delivery by the courier who delivered this. I have sent 8 emails and had to make 4 calls to their customer service line and insist on speaking to a manager to even get an answer that they would not be issuing a refund on the second order. The 2 orders combined were worth over £1628.00 and I only ever received £385.00 worth of goods. Selfridges have promised a refund on the first order which I have not yet received, but are refusing a refund on the missing goods from the second order, as they claim their internal investigation proved that the goods were packed in this delivery. This is tantamount to accusing me of lying!! If you look at Selfridges Group website they claim “There's nothing quite like shopping with Selfridges Group. We truly put the customer at the heart of everything we do, whether you are visiting one of our stores or shopping online, you are assured of an extraordinary and unique retail experience.” Nothing could be further from the truth!! DO NOT BUY FROM SELFRIDGES!

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Ordered an item through 'click and collect' on Saturday for collection the following Thursday. It stated that an email would be sent confirming when the item was ready collect. Thursday comes and there is no email. I email to ask for clarification as to what has happened and they advise that the order 'failed' (thanks for telling me) and that money had not been taken from my PayPal account (I paid partly by PayPal and a voucher). This was a complete lie, however, as money had been taken from my PayPal balance that day. It gets worse. So, having no luck with their email, I decide to call them. I speak to a man who advises that he will arrange for a refund and for an e-voucher to be sent, but just needs to put me on hold. I am then put through to a makeup counter to re-purchase the item (without receiving any refund!). I have had to call again and have been informed that they will arrange a refund, which will be received in 3-5 days. I have no faith that it will, but will post on here what happens...

Missing item no refund I ordered staub pot along with two items from selfridges and they didnt deliver the pot to me. The delivery logistic document indicate that they send is very light and could not contain the pot . I report the issue and their custome service spend 1 month on investigation and concluded that they cannot proceed refund . They tell me to approach police and report the pot stolen . Their customer service is soooo ridiculous and horrible I advice you all to avoid buying anything from selfridges.

I would wished I read this site before decided to get something from Selfridge & Co. They sent me incorrect item, sounds like misleading, the product they sent me different with the image list. I contacted them for returning the product immediately. They already received the product back safely. And now i am still waiting for my full refund Not sure how long I would get it back. And they haven't get back to me. Hope no awful drama dragging from them.

Selfridges trafford did not have the size of bikini top I required and ordered one from there on line store for myself which I paid for with my credit card. When I went to pick up my item I was informed that the order had been cancelled ( no explanation why) and told that my accredit card would be automatically credited with the amount I had paid. Three weeks and several phone calls and emails later, no money has appeared in my bank account. Selfridges just seem to be giving me 'the runaround '. I have eventually had to put this matter into the hands of my bank, who are now investigating the matter. SHAME ON YOU SELFRIDGES. THIS IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Company sent me wrong size. Item was in the sale so when after I realised they sent me wrong size they had sold out of the size I wanted. Customer services basically told me there was nothing the could do.

Hi We have shopped at Selfridges in Birmingham many times and always visit their Krispy Creme shop. We are always treated as friends, and Jo B and Ian who work front of house are just the best ambassadors a company could wish for. Please would you pass on our thanks to them and their managers. Ordered flowers last valentines day which did not arrive, having phoned to check that they would arrive numerous times on the day. Many calls to customer services in the following days which took a lot of my time in order to obtain a refund. Never will order from selfridges again.

Went to this Japanese Ramen place at Selfridges Ground floor called Tonkotsu. The services are bad. The guy who cooked ramen scratched his feet then handled the noodles. Totally disgusting!!! Don't go there!!

The most ridiculous VAT process ever. Salespeople just can't give you the form. You have to find your way to the 4th floor, take a number and WAIT to be called to a desk. How stupid is this process!

I bought a Jose Eber straightening brush from Selfridges. The receipt stated I could get a refund. Took the product home it was hard to use, damaged and pulled out my hair. Took it back 7 days later. Jose Eber didn't want to know neither did Selfridges. Ive shopped there for 40 years. The way I was brushed off made me livid. They have soiled my opinion of them. Not a company that I can trust. The product was not fit for purpose. It was bought under their roof and they take no responsibility. Shabby

Ordered an engagement ring online that I had previously seen in store to propose to my loved one this weekend. This special event was ruined because Selfridges did not uphold their agreement to have the ring ready for pickup as confirmed in the order. They admitted to messing up my order but did nothing to help my situation. Sadly, it's been all very disappointing and heartbreaking which has left us very unhappy. Don't use this store if you can help it!

We shopped at la prairie, at Selfridges Manchester, and had the fortune to be served by Paula & Andrena, they treated us like a member of the family with an Abundance of advice. The level of service was exceptional well done ladies great service.

After reading all those negative reviews, I had a very bad feeling after ordering my product on the website & I hoped it will arrive and will not be damaged or anything else. I bought a beauty product for a friend and it arrived only 3 days after placing my order, and I live in Germany. I have to say I bought the Selfridge+ because the shipping costs were the same as the Selfridge+ option. I opened the box and it came with return notes & everything, so they let you know how to send stuff back and you don't have to look it up. In my case I don't have to return it because the product is not damaged and everything is just fine. The gift box, that I ordered too, looks pretty nice and not cheap. I made a very good experience with my first order at Selfridges.

Appalling customer services I bought a small massager from the technology dept and when I opened it a day later found that the actual massager was not in the box. I called customer services on Good Friday to let them know and told them I will be back in London on Tuesday and that's when I will go back to the store. Firstly the seller could not even speak proper English, secondly he told me I have to wait at least 15 mins for the actual guy who sold it to me who was outside having a cigarette, thirdly when he came he said they cannot do anything about it as this has never happened to them and also why did I not come on Friday to the store (maybe I do not live in London and it was Easter so was off work for a while so there is no need for me to travel into London). I then went with him to customer services desk and they also were terrible at handling this. They did not even bother to check that I have actually called them on Good Friday to let them know. At my persistence they called customer services to check and only after that agreed to swap with one that has the actual massager in the box. I was humiliated, made to feel like a thief and they actually believed I was telling a lie. It was me against 4 people trying to convince them this has actually happened and I had a witness who was with me when I opened the sealed box only to find the product missing from it an who was ready to vouch for me. I am not sure what their selection process is for prospect sellers in there but clearly they have failed with these guys who treated me appallingly. I will never recommend this store to anyone, after all there is plenty of competition out there and many other stores with a wider range of products than Selfridges- why go through the humiliation again???? If you do buy from there please open the box to check the product is in the box.
