NEVER PURCHASE FROM SELFRIDGES!! So horrible customer service. My friend bought me a pair of Balenciaga sneakers size 37 and they have her size 38. She when on holidays - long story short I didn’t have the receipt and could not exchange the shoes. As I was lucky I sold the pair the same price I that my friend got them and bought the correct ones from Harrods. I ALWAYS BUY ALL OF MY CLOTHES FROM SELFRIDGES... NEVER AGAIN!! I went in store to talk to a manager and he made me feel like a thief and like I was trying to take money from them. I never even ask for a refund I just wanted the correct pair of shoes and thought I could ask. Made a complaint to the customer service and my point was not the shoes but the fact that they treated me so poorly. Dean Fowler who is the Operations Manager at Selfridges, God knows why, was so useless and he was not even responding to my questions. It’s the 3rd time I experience this behaviour from a manager In Selfridges, not only towards me but I heard once a manager shouting at a staff member calling them stupid and useless. I didn’t even mentioned anything about the shoes, just for the horrible behaviour and his respond: “we need a receipt”. My reaction: “Have you got no brain as the other manager? I am talking about the treatment of people and employees and you do not respond about this shows how unethical you are yourself !! Shame on you.... that’s why your biggest achievement in life would be to remain a useless manager !!! You don’t know how to apologies !!!” His respond: “Have a lovely day” SARCASTIC MUCH!!!! Shame on them seriously !!! If you can afford to buy expensive clothes better purchase them from the actual boutique or Harrods which they have a excellent customer service!!! Currently, we live in a society we’re people exploit other. Don’t participate in this abuse which they use on their staff members and subsequent their customers.

I am writing to warn anyone who wishes to use Selfridges website. I ordered a Christmas present and paid the money for it. Six days later, I receive a text saying that there had been a technical When I phoned, there had not been any technical error. The Company then said it was out of stock, even though it had been when I ordered the product. Selfridges cancelled the order. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE EITHER COMPLETELY IMCOMPETENT TAKING MONEY WITHOUT ANY INTENTION OF PROVIDING THE PRODUCT.

Not customer service related BUT Selfridges! What have you done to your Christmas window display & shop?! Visited as a child & then with my daughter; your windows were magical! Left without making a purchase..the atmosphere was so disappointing! What a let down! Spoke to an assistant who replied that she’d had so many people making same comment..up your game or don’t you care?

HUDA Beauty, Oxford St. store. I picked up in a mascara at the Too Faced stand with the help of the lovely staff there. My friend wished to look at the HUDA beauty counter so we went over there and I thought I should pay there while she was browsing. I have never experienced such a rude customer service in my life. When the staff at the HUDA counter had finished their conversations with other staff, they decided they would bring their attention back to their customers. As there was someone paying at the till I decided to queue behind them. When I went to pay I was served by this terribly rude young woman with blonde hair. It was clearly obvious by queueing up at the till that I wanted pay for something so this young lady decided to stare blankly at me to see what I wanted. I then said I would like to pay for the mascara and left it on the counter in front of her, while I went to get my purse out of my bag. She then proceeded to stick her hand out directly above the item, stare at me and in an arrogant tone said “can you hand it to me”. She never even bothered to give me a bag, yet, she gave the previous customer a bag for one item. When my friend asked for a wipe to clean the swatches off her hand, she was met with a look of sheer disgust from this young woman, who gestured towards the tissues. Looking at her as if she were stupid, my friend then cleaned her hand with a ‘tissue’, and searched for somewhere to dispose of it, not realising the bin was beside her, the woman just laughed at my friend and pointed towards the bin. I had never experienced such appalling customer service until that day, no greeting whatsoever, utter lack of respect, terrible communication skills and an exceptionally arrogant attitude. The lowest level of customer service one could ever receive can be found at this counter! Customer service training would hugely benefit this staff member!

What a poor service! Just look in what state my order arrived! Contacted them and was offered £20 off and can keep it (I agreed to its solution because knowing how difficult it would be to return this item) but nothing appeared on my PayPal account yet. Two days passed. And they reply very rare... My unboxing video is here https://youtu.be/G3PUu0hKV_Y Please just keep your promise!

Bought a pair of Christian Lobouton shoes as a gift for my fiancée on the eve of our wedding she tried one on an they were slightly to big. No exchange was available so I ordered a half size down and returned them. I received an email saying the shoes were scratched and the refused a refund! I called and complained saying that was a complete lie and threatened to open a dispute with paypal. They said they would put it to the brand specialist for review and reply in 24 hours 4 days later no response so I rang back and amazingly the shoes were now fire and they refunded the money!!!

I purchases a ysl bag from them online...I received the bag...didn't open it and took it out of the box and found it to be too poufy and big for my liking...I returned it via dhal (their carrier)...the box had to be taken open to dhl...they inspect it and pack it up and send it off...all the tags are attached....they said the bag was used and they cannot offer a refund! I asked for pictures of what was used...there was sticky tacky on the handle! I never used the bag, nor did I put sticky tacky on the handle!! i'm not sure if they put this on because they don't want to return the bag? it's insane...can't even speak to someone...they just keep emailing me the generic email that they can't accept the return...how do you know they aren't deliberately doing this so they can't accept it...i'm furious right now...I literally sent it back soon after receiving it...I didn't use it, I didn't even open the bag! so angry right now...i'm fighting this through paypal...don't ever use this website!!

I wish I had read the reviews before… I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from selfridges. My first order and I also paid for the yearly plus delivery. Ordered 2 all saints shirts in medium as I already had one the same in that size which fits OK. But both shirts seemed a little too large so I returned them both after only trying them on. I have received a refund for only one as they are refusing to refund the other saying it has been worn. I never wore it and will be raising a resolution with PayPal who I used to pay. Safe to say first and last time with selfridges, I hope they wish they had treated customers better when they end up going into administration.

bsolutely ridiculous service! I wrote a complaint about my Valentino shoes (broken heal) and their rude and unhelpful staff on 31st of May! It’s 14th of July and I still haven’t got any proper response. I have been completely ignored! They keep feeding me with promises for 1.5 month!!! Seems like they do not care about their customers at all! I would avoid shopping there and definitely will take legal actions as I am protected as a consumer by Consumer Right Act 2015. Would not leave it as it is.

I ordered the Sandro shoes in size IT42, which is my normal size. But the shoes were a bit too big for me. After Trying the shoes on, I put them back into the shoe box and never touched it, not to mention that I have never worn the shoes outside house except for fitting. Right after I had pushed the Refund button on ur website, I searched for the smaller size cuz I really loved the shoes. So I ordered IT 41 size of the same shoes from Sandro-paris UK online site. I returned the shoes in the belief that No issues like this would happen. Which is also why i purchased the subscription membership. Cause I believed that Selfridges, a huge store, would never disappoint customers like this. But when I returned the shoes, the staff from Selfridges said that the shoes were in a bad condition and cant be refunded. So I called the customer service, and the guy said I can only talk to the guy that sent me the email regarding this issue. He said I cant even get a direct call to him. So now I have the same design but two different size of pairs of shoes. I dont understand why I have to fight for fair refund when I am innocent and sure I have never damanged the item. If the item is unresellable, then did Selfridges send me the unsellable item? Cuz it was the same condition that they sent me.

Ordered a Sonos speaker online over a week ago and it still hasn’t been dispatched. Customer Services have been awful. Just goes to show why companies like John Lewis are so much better for on-line shopping and delivering the goods.

Shocking customer service policy. 8-10 bottles on the shelf. Every one of them had a £54.99 price label(physically stuck on each bottle. Scanned through the till...69.99! No offer of honouring their advertised price...so told 'em to stick their bad customer service and seems this Store has become a tourist scam shop! Selfridges...you let yourself and a valid customer down today...shame on you!😒

The customer service is appalling. They will continue to provide lame excuses and asking for more time instead of solving a problem. The delivery service DPD is horrible and doesn’t deliver international orders effectively

I wish I could give a minus score. I have never left a review before but feel sick at how Selfridges have been treating me, I ordered a 7 dresses, one of which arrived with the security tag in. I kept 3 dresses and returned 4, including the one that had the metal security tag attached. I had not tried it on, due to being quite appalled at the laziness of sending with security tag. All items returned were in the original packaging with labels etc etc. I was refunded for all dresses but the one with the security tag in. Fast forward two weeks, and despite countless telephone calls and emails, Selfridges are unable to let me know what is happening, why they have not issued a refund, when or whether they will do so. I have requested a manager to call me, raised a formal complaint, you name it - nothing back! My husband and I have been loyal customers for over 20 years, buying my wedding outfit and shoes from here, doing all of our Christmas shopping, etc. I am shocked and appalled at the lack of acknowledgement from Selfridges that this is taking place.

Dear all, this is a familiar repeating pattern with complaints regarding Selfridges. To clarify, their email is customerservices AT selfridges.com I am not going to bore you with the details, but it is a similar case of Merchant sends wrong item, item returned, Merchant refuses return and will not refund. The same story line. Instead I am listing out what you can do to safeguard yourself if you run into the unfortunate situation of buying from them without doing due diligence and research. Please take note: a) take a video when you open the package from Selfridges. This will serve as evidence when it is your word of what you received VS their word of “stern quality control procedures in place to ensure that all items are sent out to our customers in immaculate condition. All returns are also carefully inspected upon return to ensure that they remain this way and are eligible to be re sold, therefore ensuring that an item would not be sent back out to any of our customers in this condition.” b) save all email communications when requesting for return documents instead of using their online returns link to self create return documents. They will refuse your return by claiming that “After reviewing this with our returns team, we can see that you have not contacted us prior to advise that you received the incorrect item and there has been no covering note included within your return.“ c) document your communication with the Merchant. Proceed to file a chargeback with your credit card company or dispute with PayPal as soon as 5 business days have passed since the return was delivered and they have not issued your refund. If you log in and check the order status, you will see “Return Cancelled” status. This means that they will not be processing your refund. Save yourself the endless wait for a refund. d) provide documentation of all communication and video of unboxing parcel as evidence to your Bank or PayPal for their investigation. e) DO NOT cancel your PayPal dispute or chargeback at all costs. The Merchant will attempt to contact you and inform “we have tried the best we can to get this refund processed successfully. Unfortunately due to internal errors out of our control we have had to raise this further. We are now liaising with our IT department to get this refund manually processed swiftly. I can confirm that after looking into this for you we can see that you currently have a dispute open with your PayPal which means we are unable to manually process this refund for you. You will need to contact PayPal directly to either close this dispute or you can wait for PayPal to finalise this and release the funds to you. If you are able to close the dispute with PayPal now we can manually refund you today however this does need to be closed before we proceed further with your case.” Do not let them trick you into cancelling the dispute on your own. Once you cancel on your own, that means that you are no longer having an issue and Case is closed and cannot be re-opened. ALL THE MERCHANT NEEDS TO DO IS TO RESPOND TO THE DISPUTE AND ISSUE A REFUND.
