“We were disappointed with the hotel in Portugal. It could have been in a better location and should offer some type of entertainment in the evening. It would be a place to socialize with the group.”

“I have been on 4 Senior Discovery Tours. My first one a stayput in Costa del Sol, Spain didn’t meet my expectations and I was ready to write them off. However, I decided to give them another chance, this time a trip to the Italian Riviera and Tuscany, which I enjoyed immensely and exceeded my expectations. Suzanne, the tour manager set the bar really high on what to expect on a tour. My other two tours, to Umbria and to Croatia and Slovenia were also excellent and in both cases the tour managers, Marcello and Haley were thoughtful, considerate and accommodating. To me the first selling point of a tour is a good itinerary and SD’s tours offer varied itineraries to choose from. Secondly, they should be able to deliver the tour and meet expectations. A tour manager can make or break a tour and 3 of the 4 tours I took with them had exceptional managers. Thirdly, price is an important consideration, I find the price of their tours on a higher bracket but comparable to other travel providers that offer similar products. To me some of the hotels they use could be improved. I was supposed to take a 5th tour last March to Morocco which was cancelled because of the pandemic. I hope to travel with them again when it is safe to do so.”
“Most of the trips we have taken have been very good and the accommodations have been on the whole satisfactory. I would say we have had 2 trips that were not up to Seniors standards but we have informed Seniors and they have responded in a positive way.
We like the fact that all expenses are covered,medical, cancellation and we can deal with the tour guides tip as we like.
All of the guides we had have been very good, last trip not well experienced. We did let you know.”
“I have done three of your tours and the only reason I don’t rate them as excellent as they are large than other tours I have done and some of the accommodations were a little questionable. I do enjoy going with Canadians and have found the other travellers very nice. I am going to France in August 2021 (a cancellation from this year) and am looking forward to find out what you are doing that month.

“Our rating would be between good and excellent depending on our four tours taken to date. We had also booked to go on a river cruise this fall but of course it had to be cancelled due to COVID 19. Our travel plans for the next year or two will likely be trips within Canada. We would be interested to know what you have to offer for next year and beyond for travels within our country. “1..The Italian Riviera and Tuscany 2016 was great.Good hotels. great locations especially in Santa Margherita Ligure. Food was very good to excellent. Programs perfect.Highly recommend.
2..Provence spring 2018:would not recommend this hotel.good location. mediocre breakfast. Poor accommodation. if kept same hotel, don't pay for full breakfast. continental better. I would reduce the leisure day by at least one and up grate dinners if you want to keep prices down.Some meals were great like the 2 special lunches. farewell dinner good on paper only. rate 2 for quality. was expecting better food for being in Provence. Prefer to pay a few hundred more and better quality.
3..Crotia/Slovenia:best itinerary of organize tours. Day to Ston,Mostar could be cancelled. Nothing special. get better location for Venice or find another place to fly home. So little time spent in Venice itself, too long drive, not worth it. food ok to good. many hotels not great.”
“I have taken 3 trips with SDT and enjoyed every one of them immensely. The pace was very good and the sites were very interesting to visit. I appreciated the down time that was allowed in each trip. The guides on each trip were very good on my trips to Amalfi Coast, Swiss Alps & Italian Lakes; and Russian Waterways Cruise.”

areas. Country House accommodation a plus.
Only one coach tour (to India) which was fine & luckily not too large.
More than 25 travellers isn't acceptable. Some hotels were not good,
and SDT's inclusion of most meals isn't always welcomed. Travellers
like to explore in locations which aren't remote and have time away
from the group. For this India trip, I understand the need to include
most meals due to locations.”
“I felt that I got good value for my money and that I was well looked after. The accommodations weren't always what I would have liked but they were acceptable. One tour that I took was guided by a member of the office staff who was not familiar with the tour and relied on the bus driver, who was very knowledgeable, to help guide the tour. It was a very good tour but not what I would have expected from a company of your experience.”
“We have been on two tours. There were good things and bad things about each of them. Hotels were generally very good. There is free time to do what you want or to rest. Care is taken to make sure that the coach stops for washroom breaks. However, the pace can be too demanding for many on the tour, despite being able to walk and climb stairs.”
“Interesting venues and to some extent worry free; especially like the airport pickup service; airports for me (and my sister) were very confusing and senior tours staff helped out; well-informed and patient guides. Hope to do more tours especially in Canada in the future.”
