“The staff at SG Petch were fantastic; friendly, helpful and above all, NOT pushy. As a female who knows nothing about cars and isn't really interested, I can't think of anything worse than an overbearing salesperson. The ladies who steered me through the intricacies of hire purchase were both understanding and patient. If all the SG Petch staff have been cut from the same cloth, I would recommend them to anyone.”

“Everything was great, just a small mix up when coming to the final price as we were dealt with by a different person than previously who told us they never sell cars without a warrenty but the person before had told me it was entirely optional and nearly caused us to not be able to buy the car as we were already over budget without the warranty.”

“My purchase of the car was good but the delivery was a day late due to an admin issue this took some of the buzz away as I picked the car up on the 2nd March and missed owning a brand new car on the first day of registration this was on my wish list. Other than this everything else was good.”

“Have dealt with Andrew Mellanby at SG Petch for years. Always found him to be friendly, professional and will deal with any queries swiftly and efficiently, have total confidence in him. Will not buy my Kia anywhere else, SG Petch always put the customer first no matter which department you use and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.”

“I purchased my car three weeks ago. Sales man Kevin Jackson was very helpful. Going back to a manual operated car was a little strange. I am pleased with the deal I got, and I have told a neighbour Mr D Atkinson to call and look, They have just taken delivery of a new car very pleased with it Terry Haw”

“I find S G Petch and the people who work for them in their Durham branch to be like one big happy bunch who like working together .I play golf and have recommended them to all my golfing friends and my family. At Durham city golf club where I am a member we are going to build a new practice building with all mod cons, maybe Petch and Hyundai getting involved would be good for marketing their cars and themselves.”

“Our mazda3 2lt nav auto is absolutely wonderful, perhaps the best car we have ever driven. The purchase was not as straight forward as it could have been, by retaining our cherished number plate, we came up against several, frustrating situations. The computer constantly confused the car we exchanged with the car we were buying, which caused endless problems for us and the DVLA. Things are now sorted and we can enjoy our new car. Darren Borland was extremely helpful and sorted the problems admirably for us”

“Slightly disappointed with service received following car purchase. Nothing major but could be better. Car only had one key so had to book in to get new key coded, this should really have been sorted before they sold us the car. Also there was no handbook, they ordered one but when it came was for wrong model so now have to go back again to dealership . Final point the salesman never mentioned car came with RAC cover and I had renewed my Green flag cover before we found out.”
