“We found SG Petch to be a very helpful, honest and non pushy company to deal with. When deciding on the vehicle we wished to buy, there was no after sales patter, trying to sell us further products and we were advised to think about our best options regarding servicing the vehicle, to suit our circumstances and budget. Gary Maughan was extremely professional and dealt with our purchase in a way, which led us to trust the company he represents and so felt comfortable in the whole purchase transaction. I would certainly recommend SG Petch to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. Particularly, those who are sick of the put on salesmanship found with other car dealerships. Thanks Ivan Porteous”

“Sales staff were willing to negotiate regarding the price of the car. I also had to change the collection date at short notice and this did not cause a problem. Good communication with the salesman via e-mail throughout the process until the purchase had been made.”

“We were happy with the level of service we received from our Sales Person, Nick. He gave us all the information we needed and when we came to pick up the car he went through all the functions of the car in detail so we knew how they all worked. He helped us with our Gap Insurance and was an overall friendly and helpful man. I would definitely think of coming back when I start looking for a small car next year. A very pleasant experience!”

“We bought the new Kia Sportage recently and we are extremely happy with the service we received. Gary Winteringham was our sales person and he was brilliant! He was professional, polite and put no pressure on us at all to buy. He answered all our questions and queries - no matter how trivial they were - efficiently and honestly. Everyone was very welcoming, but Gary went above and beyond, keeping us informed of the buying process from the beginning to picking up our new car. Communication at SG Petch is fantastic. I highly recommend SG Petch and of course Kia too!”

“Initially I was quite pleased with the experience of buying my used car at Petch Darlington. Even though they did not return calls from day one! However, when I arrived home and checked the paperwork and other details, I found three important errors. 1. Between ordering and paying for the car and the delivery day, there was an addition of nearly two thousand miles on the clock!. 2. On the warranty it described the car as manual, when it is in fact automatic. Making the warranty nul and void. 3. No users manual was with the car on delivery. The salesman was very sympathetic and agreed that these matters are unacceptable, and needed attention. He promised to obtain a handbook, I am still waiting!, no answer to the extra mileage. And no return phone call yet! It just shows that the old adage re car salemen is true. You can't trust them! Once they have your money they couldn't care less.”
