Well, my experience isnt over just yet. When I first saw the car I wanted in the Durham branch I called and was told it was only available at the price on the website with a 50% deposit but didnt say this on the website. I contacted SG Petch on FB who contacted the dealership and resolved this fairly quicky and I got it at the advertised price but it was a little annoying and I almost left the car. Test drive was enjoyable and getting the paperwork signed was easy. However another issue arose and because my address on my licence was different to my actual address they could not put the finance through on the rate agreed and offered me a higher rate instead to bypass this issue. Had a little issue with getting it sorted and a mix up in who was dealing with me after getting passed around a few times. However I spoke to the manager and it was a system issue but he resolved it swiftly for me and I got the original agreed APR deal. Picking the car up was fine. Had a few daft advisories like a loose exhaust I personally found unusual but they explained it was just part of the age etc. I accepted that because the car was 8yr old after all. On collection day I was told they offered delivery and then told they didnt. So I collected the car, was straightforward and easy. Anyways, I had the car 1 week and 3 days when it broke down on my mother. A friend towed it back and it seemed fine so put it down to her maybe getting mixed up somewhere. However, a day or so later it broke down on me. I called SG who told me to get it recovered to them, so I paid for recovery and off it went on the 9th of November. I also noticed then that they didnt stamp the service book for the service they said they did on collection. After around a week, they said the parts from Ford have been delayed so with all due respect they offered me a Hyundai i10 courtesy car. Its a nice clean car and they insured it for me etc. So cant ask for more here. So, at the time of my review the car is still in for repairs and just waiting for the call. Wish I bought the Hyundai i10 now but the experience overall has been fair. Frustration ensures but not all the fault of the dealer, cars do breakdown, the reason for the review being 3star was mainly the little issues that built up.

We were a little disappointed with our care once we had actually purchased the car. Our collection date was overdue and we were told that we would receive a full tank of petrol on collection of the car for our inconvenience. When we picked the car up we did not deal with the person we should have been and hence they were unable to answer the couple of questions we had and also the petrol had not been put in the car. I had to make a separate return journey to have this fulfilled. We also did not receive any follow up call from the salesperson just to see how the car was going and even after speaking to the manager of the Nissan section we are still waiting for this and also he said we should receive some kind of video via email, but again this has not happened.

We ordered car and said it would be here on a certain date. This date arrived with no phone call to say car was here or not here. So after many phone call to garage finally got to speak to manager to be told no car there for another 2 weeks. I had a very upset child looking forward to a new car. After been told another date finally got phone call to say car will be here.

I was happy dealing with SG Petch . the only negative was the communication. I found a member of sales hard to contact even resorted to emails which took days to receive a reply. I did find the sales staff very helpful face to face. The result is I received my new car to which I am delighted with

I bought a used car and although the salesman was very helpful while I was in the sales office, he has twice offered to phone me about my car and both tines he has not phoned. On collecting my car after the purchase was finalised, we discovered some dints on the car previously not seen. The salesman offered to phone me the following week to book my car in for the repairs and I am still waiting for their phone call, two weeks later. Great service when you are in front of them but lacking after you are out of sight.

Was happy with the buying process and Abby was very friendly and helpful, it was after picking up the car that I wasn’t happy with.

Overall I love my new Seat Ibiza and I think it's a great car! The experience of buying my new car however, was not the best I've had. In hindsight I do feel like I was rushed into a very quick decision and for that reason specific details on the car were not explained properly by the sales person. (Admittedly, I do appreciate that the blame for this does partly lie with me as the customer for allowing myself to be pressured into paying a deposit over the phone and not double checking a few details beforehand.) I was also not massively impressed with the customer service that I received from the sales person after signing on the dotted line, as I had to do a fair bit of 'chasing up' for a few different things and one booked appointment I had to share with another customer who the sales person was trying to get a sale from - not sure if this is normal practise in all car garages but I just found it a bit unprofessional!

Enthusiastic Sales Advisor, sent extra photos of the car for us to see before we travelled 90 miles to see the 124 Spider. We are still waiting for a promised call to see how we are are enjoying the car. Thought inside the showroom wanted painting, desks were untidy. Also the used car display was off putting. Most of the alloy wheels on the cars were covered in brake dust and the general apperance of the display was dirty even the car we came to see. (I realise it is dry and dusty but it’s no excuse) overall the staff were friendly and helpful and the used car sales manager spent time thanking us for our purchase.

Hi so far touch wood I am happy with the car which I feel was good value. I thought the two Andrews were very friendly when I arrived to collect car. One criticism would be the ignoring of emails. I have emailed for some proof of service and a manual of the car but have received no reply. Also I was exporting the car to Ireland , and this entailed a lot more documentation which it was important for me to get. Maybe it was SG Petch's first time doing this but I found it difficult .

I had a test drive of myJeep Renegade, the car would not start, the salesman said it was because it had been stood for a while,he had to jump start the car,on the test drive i noticed a scraping noise from the brakes,i was told if i decided to buy the car these issues would be sorted out,i did buy the car and picked it up a few days later,i was told everything had been put right. The following morning the car would not start resulting in having to get a neighbour to jump start the car. Then having to travel from Northallerton to York,i was given a courtesy car and my car was delivered to my home address. My issue was the battery was not checked properly just charged up,the battery was eventually replaced and the brakes are still scraping.

I first went into sg Petch too but my car and was sat waiting 20 minutes to be actually seen by a sales man. I bought my car, and they told me they would be in contact to see how I'm getting on with my car after a few weeks and I'm still waiting on their call, I won't be purchasing another car from here, customer service is rubbish

Every one is very friendly and polite however my 1st kia lasted a week before needed a warranty claim and dragged on for months with lots failed call backs and complaints. Fast forward to today I have gone back and got another kia and guess what less then 12 days in cars has been in now been looked at twice for the same fault and still waiting for someone to call me. Sales seem great the actual tech guys are fantastic but get these people to call you back in a timely manner forget it. Don't think I'll be getting 3rd car from here

The car was great and there was some willingness to negotiate on price. I waited 5 days to pick up the car while scratches were sorted and car was being checked and made ready for pick up. Picked up car Scratches were still there and so had my doubts about anything being done! They said they would fill up with petrol by way of apology but didn't! Just felt that with the amount of money being spent then there would bve a bit more attention to detail and better customer service. Rachel
