“I have had good service and experince in the past from this company and liked their tools. Sadly some of their parts are cheap and fall apart easily hence the availability of many spares. The bump spools do not last more than a season and the handle clamp is cheap alloy that the threads strip out just from the vibration on the strimmer. My recent attempt at a purchase has been a nightmare.
I ordered a new strimmer spool and handle clamp due to the previous clamp disintegrating after a year (a summer season) of light use. I ordered the part on the 26th of May with next day delivery. This was a Thursday so didn't expect it until the Monday, which i thought was fair. 6 days later nothing. I emailed them, after some back and forth finally 6 days later on the 7th a new invoice was raised. The WRONG item arriving on the 9th they sent the handle and not the clamp despite it cleary showing on the invoice i had orderd the clamp! I emailed them and had to send photos with more back and forth. Still nothing so I emailed them yet again. On the 14th I had an email stating they had sent the new part. However on the 16th a new invoice was raised with the part finally arriving on the 17th with the post stamp on the 16th! This means that on several occasions when i was told it had been sent it wasnt. The item was 23 days late despite the website stating next day delivery! I'm really disappointed with this service after recommending sgs to friends in the past I don't think I will any more.”
“Ordered item as they promised next day delivery and said it was in stock. 2 working days later I noticed it had not arrived so checked on the order and it still said processing. I contacted their customer services who said it was out of stock and wouldn't be in stock for several weeks. Disappointing that the stock status was incorrect when ordering, and even more disappointed that I was not contacted to apologise and advise further. Another alternative item was shown at one price on the search and then a higher price when you clicked on it. They agreed to refund but this is taking a while. Won't be using again.”
