Absolutely shocking customer service, They are charging me nearly £15.00 because FEDEX say they attempted delivery, I was home, they did not attempt anything Stay clear of this company!!

Look to have had the same issue as many of the below reviews. Gift bought for Christmas, not opened within 24hours and therefore they refuse to do anything about the unit being damaged. Wish i'd read the reviews prior to buying - I'd advise to stay clear of this company.

Appalling, buyers beware! Repeated advice and instructions from their 'technical team' that are completely irrelevant to the product. They don't even know how their item works! Bought a professional 2 tonne engine crane, within 6 months the ram failed. Sent photos and videos with prompt, albeit useless replies from their customer service. Finally sent it back so they could assess the problem and drained the oil before sending as they requested. On their inspection they note how a lack of oil would mean it doesn't work! The piston has become pitted and rusty - which shouldn't happen if the correct material was used in manufacture and it's constantly covered in oil. Our old one was never effected like this! But apparently we caused it through lack of maintenance which consists of storing it correctly and wiping it down which we always do. Apparently the release valve has bent and the spring, that is encased in a sleeve is rusty - again substandard materials. This is is a professional garage who's last crane lasted over 5 years, values their tools and looks after them. The replacement ram we bought to tide us over didn't work straight from the box. A trolley jack we also bought has had the design changed. There's no inspection plate meaning filling the oil is impossible in the lowered position as its completely hidden. We had the same run around with their technical team giving advice that wouldn't work on their product. Its working currently so we gave up with that. Inferior products, customer service and support is completely ignorant to how their products work and they'll wriggle out of any warranty they claim to offer. Avoid at all cost!!

I had a toolbox delivered early December for my sons birthday which is on the 1st of January, when the delivery arrived the box was “completely” undamaged so I didn’t check the contents I left it wrapped up. After unpacking it yesterday it was extensively damaged to the top and door fronts and the inner runner that allows the front door to slide up and over. I emailed SGS who asked for everything twice but I sent it over even pictures of the box (opened but undamaged) and they have rejected it saying it’s too late to dispute with the courier and that’s it. I have pointed out that the goods were obviously “packaged” damaged and have opened a dispute. The products offered by this company are as Micky mouse as the owners who sell them avoid they are not a trustworthy company. I am not a serial complainer I would sooner endorse a company that slate them but I cannot endorse these Rob dogs. If I stop one person buying from these this review has been worthwhile. Unable to upload photos.

I have reported sgs to trading standards. Citizens advise are helping me with my rights. Unethical company and not meeting it’s legal obligations under consumer law. Look at the reviews on google over the last year.

Worse company I’ve ever purchased from , cheap tools that don’t last. And they refuse to give refunds when their junk breaks. Bad reviews all over the internet about these scam artists, do not buy from them honestly you will be disappointed. Looks all great from the pictures but 6 months down the line you'll be replacing it . As I say bad reviews all over about these jokers , do not buy from them

Purchased lawn scarifier on-line and paid as Christmas present for relative. Promised 48hr delivery but never turned up so got in touch with customer services, said out of stock and didn’t know when they’d have more! Asked why they took money knowing they had no stock! Could only offer refund even when I ask for an alternative that was in stock. Very poor service. Still waiting for over a week for a refund so contemplating contacting Police and Trading Standards as suspect fraudulent activity as no further word from SGS Engineering despite numerous emails!

Appalling company. Still waiting for my postage cost refund after it took over a week to receive goods, I won't bother trying to deal with their customer service again though as they seem to employ very ignorant uncaring personel. Do not use!

Very poor service, I bought a SGS 9 piece garage storage system. The delivery was poor, the 3 delivery men all appeared untrained. The large pallet containing the three boxes, was broken as they tipped it off of the van. I would have thought the van should be fitted with a tail lift or something. Some of the items were dented and slightly damaged.

Bought a trolley jack. Clearly by quality it is Chinese not made by this firm pretending to be engineers. I tried the jack and it did not work. Spewed oil out and never loft. The replacement came after I sent the faulty back first so lost time there. A few days in fact. Then the replacement worked. 8 months maybe and now spewing out oil from seals. This firm sells rubbish quality stuff. Keep away

Awful experience. Ordered a huge workbench and made a minor mistake on checkout in which Paypal auto-populated our old office address. Tried to amend the booking straight away but was told it was impossible and that we either had to take delivery of the item at our old address or cancel the order and pay £100 fee. Agreed to the fee and was told to repurchase the item for the new address. Attempted to do so but they had put the price of the item up by £250! Called them to discuss but was told 'computer says no' and that my only option was to pay the inflated price. Absolutely ridiculous. Customer service team may as well be bots as they had zero interest in helping, only in spouting what their script told them to say.

Brought trolley jack but it wouldn’t pump up lady sent me information on how to resolve the issue to no avail, I asked for a refund and she said I need to return it and if found not faulty I have to pay carriage, how will I know if they say nothing is wrong and just swap it and charge me.

I bought a GPS520 petrol brush cutter. It worked well last Summer when I first used it, but this Spring it would not start. All of the fuel lines were perished and broken, the carburettor components were totally perished also. Pretty bad for this to happen within one year. The fuel components were clearly not E10 fuel compliant and totally unsuitable. SGS were of no help so I purchased a replacement carburettor and fuel line from my local garden equipment service centre and the motor runs well again. I would not entertain buying any other items from this Company as their quality control is abysmal. Very poor service.

Ordered a toolbox says 3 was in stock so purchased all 3 then only to be told a week later that they haven’t got stock! They did have stock of a similar toolbox which they could have sent me but refused to help! Customer service skills are terrible! A lot of attitude from Jade Louise Stewart! Not the first time I have had bad customer service from them either after I purchased a torch from them that went missing in the post they refused to send me another one out until they had settled a claim with the courier company! Which took over 3 weeks to receive!

Don't keep a lot of products in stock. Nobody calls/emails to inform you of this. The responsibility is on you to find this out for yourself. Worst customers services I've experienced in a long time. Will never use again

Avoid this company at all costs. I purchased the five in one multi tool hedge trimmer from them. Within the first 12 months of use having been used less than five times it has numerous faults including a fuel leak and a pull cord snapping. The product itself is generally very poor quality and the warranty advertised is extremely misleading. The company expect you to pay to return it for an assessment and won’t guarantee it to be repaired under warranty. I was also on the phone to them trying to resolve it and they hung up on me. Extremely unhelpful and would avoid at all costs.

I purchased a set of NitroLift replacement gas struts for an Audi A4 Avant from SGS. Order Ref: 100991706 - NitroLift Audi A4 Avant 2001-2007 Tailgate / Boot Gas Strut, placed on 11th October 2022. Seven months later these have started to corrode and rust, aren't working properly and are 'squeaking'. I emailed the company requesting that these be replaced under warranty the response I received was: "As you live by the sea, the struts are exposed to sea air, which does contain more moisture and salt which does accelerate rusting. We are happy to have your struts returned back to us for inspection under your warranty. Please can you securely repackage the item back in the original packaging or any suitable packaging you have, tape the below returns note to the outside of the parcel and send it back to us? Most of our customers do this via parcel 2 go or parcel hero as they are the most competitive in pricing. We will let you know as soon as we have received this & it has been inspected, if there is a manufacturing fault we will repair or replace it under the warranty. However, I do have to advise that if there isn't a manufacturing fault you would be liable for costs (please do not be alarmed I just have to advise you of this)." What an absolute joke, are their products designed only to function in a clean room environment rather than when fitted to an actual vehicle that is in use? How do I safely get my dog in and out of the car if I remove the struts and return them before getting the replacements? Also, if SGS *decide* that there's no manufacturing fault they have the audacity to say I will incur costs. There's clearly a fault, you can see in the photo I provided them with!
