“The gillet is really nicely made, as you’d expect at this price point. It’s warm enough, but not warm?!?! There are a few bits I’d tweak… Shackleton should have more confidence in the branding and not feel the need to emblazon the piece with the name/stories. The hemming and the ‘story’ labels are a bit much. It’s already a nice garment, it doesn’t need the extra waffle…”

“I had the Haakon Parka. I very much appreciate the firm fabric and the down filling. I little bit annyoing is the fact that the hook and loop fastener is so adhesive that it immediately sticks to other garments like a pullover when you put the parka on.”

“I bought the Rothera in Navy. LOVE it. Comfy and warm. Maybe a tad stiff in comparison to my Canada Goose but at half the price more than worth it. I recommend it highly”

“The jacket I bought is a very good but has a very small issue that needs to be fixed like the size of the arm is over size a bit and the finishing of the jacket needs to be looked at because there is some threads I had to cut.”

“Very happy with my purchase of a down jacket from Shackleton. This is a quality well made item with attention to detail. Beautiful colour from the special way they dye their garments. I've never previously bought an item at this price bracket, but was not disappointed. I feel great wearing my down jacket and it's so warm like a ' friendly hug ' each time you put it on. Quality, style, eco friendly too. 👍”

We're sorry to hear you're not completely satisfied with your purchases. Unfortunately the 2 products weren't designed as a matching set and the different yarns and compositions absorb the dye in different ways. “As a new customer to Shakleton, i was impressed with the customer service. The coat (Rothera down jacket) is a quality product only wore it a few times and not expecting to be using it on anything below -10. So perfect for the uk winters. Great coat only gave it 4 stars because of the price at £495 i feel it on the expensive side but the free watch hat is a nice touch.”
