“I bought the Rothera in Navy. LOVE it. Comfy and warm. Maybe a tad stiff in comparison to my Canada Goose but at half the price more than worth it. I recommend it highly”

“The jacket I bought is a very good but has a very small issue that needs to be fixed like the size of the arm is over size a bit and the finishing of the jacket needs to be looked at because there is some threads I had to cut.”

“Very happy with my purchase of a down jacket from Shackleton. This is a quality well made item with attention to detail. Beautiful colour from the special way they dye their garments. I've never previously bought an item at this price bracket, but was not disappointed. I feel great wearing my down jacket and it's so warm like a ' friendly hug ' each time you put it on. Quality, style, eco friendly too. 👍”

Unfortunately the 2 products weren't designed as a matching set and the different yarns and compositions absorb the dye in different ways. “As a new customer to Shakleton, i was impressed with the customer service. The coat (Rothera down jacket) is a quality product only wore it a few times and not expecting to be using it on anything below -10. So perfect for the uk winters. Great coat only gave it 4 stars because of the price at £495 i feel it on the expensive side but the free watch hat is a nice touch.”

“I wanted to pick up the Ross Gilet and had a chance to try it and buy it in person in Regent Street. The two guys in the store were helpful and sound. The Gilet is warm and fits well. Not so sure about the iron on logo on the chest, not premium, but can live with that. Was disappointed however less than two weeks after purchasing that the hanging strap used to hang up the Gilet on a hook had torn away at one end, with no particular pressure or weight.”

“The products are expensive but I have always believed you get what you pay for in life. The quality is exceptional and will also stand the test of time in the most extreme conditions. The attention to detail in packaging and personal touches are respected too, especially the postcard of “the boss”. Customer service communication needs to be improved though for sure as I sent 2 emails without response, even though I still continued to receive the automated sales emails which was disappointing. Will certainly buy again from Shackleton but a few improvements could make a very good company and great one!”

“I love the belt but I believe that a leather belt such as this is slightly over priced even around the £70 mark. I have other good quality leather belts which cost far less. However I do appreciate that a percentage of the price goes towards Antarctic conservation which is why I continued with the purchase”
