“Loved the idea but in practice the pod is positioned so far from the campervan that the unit is too big for most campsites. We toured with the idea of getting the joining bit reduced but haven't done anything about it.”

“Light, compact, quick and easy to put up by one person, highly recommended. Replaced a heavy drive away awning on my T5 which wasn't worth putting up for a short stay.”

“Excellent addition to our VW Transporter. Can use it for sleeping 3 to 4 people, as a sitting or changing area or for storage. Can drive off and leave it on camp site so pitch remains occupied. The orange version looks really good with our red van.”

“It is a delightful little awning in so many ways but we find the bending of the rods before poking them into the rings darn near impossible without a lot of extra handa to assist. So we have never used it for real though we have lugged it with us optimistically on longVW trips.”

“Bought a Pod for my 1964 VW Splitty for when we have to actually take the children with us!! Its an amazing piece of kit and great value for the price. Easy to use and to put back quickly!!! They are amazing!! You need one in your life if you have a camper van. Even if it is used for a "porch" to keep the sun off you!!”

“Excellent piece of kit, we have used it mainly in Scotland during summer months and it has provided protection from both wind & rain. It’s easily set up, looks smart and provides an extra sleeping/storage area and airy kitchen space. When packed away it is smaller than most other awnings and takes up little space. SheltaPod after sales is also top notch, a tent pole failed and after phoning a new item was sent and arrived within a couple of days. Looking forward to 2020.”

“Lovely bit of kit and found it very useful both with and without the inner tent. Luckily I have always had help putting it up. In very high winds had to disconnect the awning from the van as I feel it would have ripped the awning, family sleeping in tent and they were comfortable and safe overnight. Would recommend it”

“A fantastic shelter! Sheltapod have thought of everything, and put it in the bag for you. No having to buy extras - its all there. Also great that it is so easy to purchase replacements poles etc. One tip - have a practice go at pitching before you head off. Looking forward to many adventures with ours.”

“Worst thing I've ever bought.. so flimsy and material is very thin...tried put it up and wouldn't go right no matter which way..followed all instructions but just a load of rubbish worst £300 ever spent.”
