“Completely wrong for us. Found it claustrophobic and cramped, with more than two people in it. The igloo shape restricts your headroom and seems to create wasted space. Would like to sell it really. Probably suits lots of others, but certainly not us. Sorry. Very well made and nice and lightweight. Not all negative. Probably suit younger campers.”

“The product arrived on time as agreed and is well made. We found the pod took to long to erect as we have a campervan and sometimes only stay one night.. So only used once now in the loft. If time is not the problem then there is no issues.”

If you decide to give SheltaPod another go, it's much quicker to put up the second time. Once you have done it a few times it can be put up in 10-15 minutes. Thanks for reviewing :)

“We find our shelter pod very light & easy to errect, the one thing we have upgraded for the better are the two telescopic poles, apart from that it's a good quality awning.”

“We bought the sheltapod to attach to our T5 camper for extra space, it’s perfect for storage, for eating in and will be great for sleeping in. We had it up over night in the most horrendous storm last summer and it was as good as new the next morning. Excellent”

“We had to modify the strip used to attach the Sheltapod to our campervan, because our van didn't have a suitable channel into which we could slide the strip. However, it worked very well, and we really enjoyed using the Sheltapod; so much more space for two adults and a dog than in our little van!”

Hi Rhett, glad you managed to find a solution. You can always use the webbing straps that come with the SheltaPod too. These will work with almost any vehicle. Thanks for the review!

“I purchased a complete Sheltapod system with bedroom, sunshade and privacy panels for use as an awning on my vw t5 camper. The product is really well made and once erected for the first time quiet easy to do again once you know what to do. It packs away into the oversized bag without having to wrestle with it. Ideal for up to two people to sleep in for a weekend away.”

“The outer shelter is very good, we will continue to use this part of the system as a light weight awning. Unfortunately we find the inner tent to saggy, this encroaches on the useable space within the tent. We have gone back to using a small tent and canopy when travelling with our teenage son.”

“spend alot on time looking at the mine field of different options on the market. your product seemed the best to fit what we were looking for. watched all the info videos. but when it came to using it a different story. its is a two person job to put. wher you youtube vids only use one person.(and before you think it i have been putting tents up for 30 years. for the force ten vangos to high north face mountain tents). the loop system is hard to get set evenly, where as the extra side panels offer no extra protection form wind or rain from the sides. we tried to use it as a stand alone options with no success at all. to summarise we made the wrong decison buying this and should have opted for a much more robust awning.”

“we love our SheltaPod - it goes so well with our teardrop trailer :) Its versatile, a great shape, and easy to use - a good space to have, much better than a canopy or a normal tent.”

“The shelter leaks very badly along the the section that you insert into the awning rail. Very disappointed with the quality, this meant that we couldn't leave the door open or a jar as the water dripped into the van from the join between the black webbing and the material of the sheltapod.”

“Unique and stylish yet still practical. We loved the flexibility in terms of options for setting up the SheltaPod and have received lots of compliments on it from other campers. It provides fantastic protection from wind, rain and sun and offers a lot of space next to our van.”

“Spacious and good standing height. In heavy rain the round window leaked and the awning area between the van and the pod was too much, i.e. The roof sagged with rain and the van enterance wasn't protected.”
