Worst service ever, ordered some bits from ikea, got a time slot went to box to collect, item wasnt inside, it was totally empty. Called helpline then put on wait for 15 min until they chased driver that didnt know anything obviously. They flagged my item delivered, and closed my case. Its pure clean stealing. Useless incompetent business.

Terrible ,Horrible service! Unacceptable service! I have paid for homedelivery ,I upgrated and I have nothing! I called them 20 times may be more Nobody knows Where my parcel is.I have been wating since 2 days ! I took day of work for delivery! So what? Shift keep telling me that they are not able to locate my parcel!!! Do not use Shift!!!!!!!

Dreadful. Chose this as an IKEA delivery option. Numerous driver changes, missed delivery window, claim that my order couldn't be found at IKEA, then half my order turns up the next day. Basically this company cannot be trusted at all. Do not use them.

I urge anyone that is reading this to AVOID using Shift; I repeat, AVOID this company at all costs. There is something very dodgy about this company because they don't have a customer service helpline, or any phone number at all on their website. Which leads me to believe that they're not operating from the UK. I really hope that as the negative reviews continue to increase about Shift, they will force companies like IKEA to reconsider working with the likes of Shift because it reflects poorly on IKEA. I will be writing to IKEA and will also obtain advice from Citizens Advice and Which? about the conduct of Shift and see what action can be taken against the company. The large volume in negative reviews reflects the poor service provided by the company. It's simply unacceptable that Shift is allowed to get away with treating customers in such a terrible way. It now has 34% in one-star reviews on Trust Pillot, which must give people pause for thought. This is not sustainable and I really hope this impacts their business in the future.

I wish I could rate it as 0. Absolutely rubbish...can't believe Ikea chose to work with these scammers. Nearly impossible to reach customer service over the phone and when you do they simply gaslight you. Jokers...

Driver never showed up, called and she said she would reschedule for today at 10.30am. Didn't turn up. Spoke to shift and they said she would be here at 3pm! Now they are saying she isnt coming and we don't even get a refund. Am disgusted. Poor service and awful customer service care

Insanely bad service. One of the worst experiences I’ve had in my life as a customer. I paid for the next day delivery from IKEA. My sofa arrived 13 (!!!) days later after a nightmare of false promises that “your delivery is arriving tomorrow”. Especially the operations manager Joseph Young was so rude and tried to gaslight me that I was lying. It’s a shame IKEA uses this company for their delivery.

No telephone number ! I was told driver would call me morning of delivery to confirm time. Got a call at 6:30 on Friday saying he was 5 mins away. I was not at home. He said he will deliver on Monday. Monday morning he said he doesn’t have my items. Maybe another driver will deliver. Went online and shows same drivers details.

Had a shift van parked a at my back gate for over a week I’ve seen 1 young lad and also a young girl driving this van also speeding up and down the road could you please remove this van I have spoken to my local council they are going to get it removed as there are no parking spaces in our street for residents and I don’t think the van driver even lives on the street

Same as many of the reviews below. Booked a window for delivery and then got a call to reschedule. I rescheduled for the next day, waited during the window and towards the end got another call to reschedule. It's a lot of work on my end to coordinate schedules between the pickup person and delivering here. Completely unreliable service.

RUBBISH SERVICE,SCAMMERS,USELESS W SERVICE.Delivered part of my stuff ,missing stuff and one month later and I am still waiting for my bed to be delivered . I only used them as I thought they were good because in IKEA .I am appalled by their service and disappointed Ikea uses this absolutely rubbish company!!!!Stay away and use someone else as you will be sooooo angry dealing with them.I am so upset !!!!!

Truly appalling service from start to finish. Poor software, no communication, driver 2 hours late with no warning and the customer service team dont reply back to you when they promise to do so.

The company steal goods, don’t deliver, and fob you off. I’ve been waiting for goods since November 1. I’ve reported them to Trading Standards. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Would give zero stars if I could. Avoid this company at all costs! My driver showed up hours late and was driving a car, not a van, and left my belongings scattered across the street and lobby floor at the drop off point - not “taking care of everything” as their website states. My driver also had 4.5 stars on the app, so I can only assume it’s full of fake reviews or they do zero vetting of their drivers. It’s not often you feel compelled to write an online review but the service has been so bad, and the customer service interactions so frustrating, that I feel like I need to warn others! Do not use this company - moving is stressful enough already.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you are looking for reliability then stay well away from this company. My experience: moving home, paid full fee upfront as required for ‘Shift’ - they could not find a driver for the job, and advised that I will get a partial refund because they’ll take a booking fee! On top of that - they have NO TELEPHONE NUMBER - all of their staff are in Africa etc and take 30 mins to respond to each of the “instant messages” on their “instant messaging service”. This company is a complete joke. They will take your money - NOT deliver your service, then give you back “some” of your money - and there is no one to talk to at the company about it. Speaking to one of their “instant chat agents” is like speaking to a robot reading from a script. Utterly ludicrous and a fraudulent company. Stay well away. ESPECIALLY IF YOU REQUIRE RELIABILITY- i.e. you’re moving home. They aren’t concerned with your circumstance - but seek the money in your pocket. Terrible experience.

Incompetent company. Collection of divan bed cancelled three days running because they couldn't find a driver (I'm in a city, not the middle of nowhere). They obviously don't have enough drivers on their books. Don't waste your time booking with them and hoping things will work out - especially if what you need moved has to be done urgently or at a specific time. Go somewhere else.

Shift's website looks great, very shiny, great ux and looks super slick. Big banners about the network of their '10000 drivers' and great customer experiences. Dont be fooled. I got quotes from shift and anyvan and shift was less than half the price at the time i thought what a bargain, should have been the first red flag. I got an email after a day or two stating they were yet to find a driver to do the job. Given that the job was very time sensitive I wanted to clarify when i could expect to get a driver allocated and if i could cancel free of charge if they weren't able to find a driver. The only way to contact them is via there instant message service where you can jump through various hoops trying to talk to an actual person instead of a bot. When I got through to someone, they were marginally better than the bot but had there standard script from which they could not deviate, they didnt know if they would find a driver and no... as stated in ts & cs I wouldnt get a full refund. How helpful. They did find a driver in the end...phew great news. The status updates on the website are pretty useless. They have a map of the route implying it gives live updates of the drivers whereabouts...it does not. Tried to contact the driver...no answer, full answerphone. Driver and additional shifter did turn up to pick up the fridge freezer so no worries. Turned up at my house a bit later. They then struggled to get the fridge freezer out of the van, the second shifter was just not strong enough. I ended up helping them with finally getting the fridge in the garage. They said goodbye and it wasn't until then I noticed the damage to the fridge. I contacted shift and explained the situation. Cue generic message number 2..."as stated in ts and cs you need to contact your driver about compensation"....they are no longer our drivers, we are actually just an agent with a shiny website. We can't offer compensation, we can't act as a proper intermediary and deal with issues. We aren't even as good as uber. the Customer services team just have a standard script and offer no assistance just saying they are 'sincerely sorry but theres just nothing we can do' and 'you should have read the t's and c's you idiot' (paraphrasing). It's cheap but you get what you pay for. All style and no substance. Just dont. Go and use a proper mover instead of this folly. I'm furious in case you couldnt tell.
