Unfortunately I will not shop here again. My fault I didn’t read the returns policy and when covid restrictions eased I spent 2000 on bridesmaid dresses different sizes and colours to try online when I went to return I was offered a store credit only. Dresses are not worth the price tag either unfortunately I was expecting a great deal more quality. I have one that had a mark on it and I hope I can get some cash back for that dress. Sorry would not purchase again unless some changes are made with returns process coz I think some of their dresses would be nice

Unfortunately I am more and more disappointed with Shona dresses lately. Majority of the styles are only made to fit size 6 tall women. I purchased a beautiful dress that was worn by a model with smaller breasts, size 6 and very tall. Gorgeous but not the average female. I am a size 10 and the dress did not fit anywhere on me at all. Gaping at the back, breasts and so tight across by bottom. Unless you look like the models, do not purchase. Shona - please start using real bodies on your website so we can see what these dresses look like on the average woman.

Ive bought a dress 9 months ago, i did not get it and even a response or my money back. I have never had such a bad experience in any shop in the world. If they do not give me the dress or my money back i will have to tale legal issues. This is to steal someone, i cannot believe it.

WARNING: I purchased a dress from Shona Joy, received it on the 19/10/20 and opened my package to find that the dress had a blood stain on it. Immediately I was horrified and took a photo. I sent an email to Shona Joy with my complaint and weeks later I have STILL NOT RECEIVED a response. During this current covid climate the hygiene standards should be raised and its appalling to find blood on a brand new dress. Also I must add that the actual dress is extremely poor quality, the seams are not finished, the material is sheer and clearly feels cheap. I was buying the dress to decide whether or not to get our bridesmaids dresses from this brand and I can clearly see now that we won't be. This is extremely disappointing as the brand advertises such beautiful dresses and work hard on their campaigns/advertisement. Unfortunately I am led to believe that Shona Joy is falsely advertising. I would recommend buying from other Australian brands that actually make their clothes in Australia.

DO NOT purchase from Shona Joy online. I ordered a $270 dress for my sister's wedding and it not only looks, but feels, different than what is pictured on their website. It's awkward and frumpy. When I emailed customer service about how poorly constructed the garment was, they reiterated their return policy to me, and provided no help. For a more modest price, I wouldn't be so upset, but for $270 it should be higher quality. Will never order from them again.

Would give zero stars if I could. Their customer service is appalling and unethical. So much of my time wasted, when it was their product which was FAULTY. Never again will purchase anything Shona Joy. Disgraceful.

I had the most awful shopping and customer service experience at Shona Joy. I tried to get a credit for a sale item which cost almost a few hundred dollars! It was brand new, unworn and with its tags attached. I emailed Shona Joy on May 8th, then followed up twice on May 12th and again on May 16th. I finally received a response on May 25th to say they offer no refunds/credits/exchanges on sale items. Firstly, they promote a 24-48 hour response time, which is a joke. And secondly, I’m stuck with an expensive dress that I cannot use. A few hundred dollars may not be a lot to them but it is to me. The business is not at a loss for offering a credit/exchange so this feels like a shamelessly greedy act on Shona Joys part. Overall, it was an extremely poor customer experience from the brand as a whole for me. I will not be purchasing from them again. I caution you to be absolutely sure about an item before you make your purchase as this company does not look after its customers.

I wish I had done my research before I bought from them. From these reviews I never would've bought anything from them. They trick you on their website when they say they accept returns. Like the reviews on here, yes they take returns, but they charge you a $40 fee to return them on top of charging you to send back the items. Shipping back to them from outside of Australia will cost you dearly and makes no sense to send back the item. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!!!

They have beautiful but very expensive clothes. Do NOT purchase from them. If you return an item it will cost you dearly and you will never hear from them again. I have sent a customer service email every day for 3 weeks but no response at all. No money returned or item returned. Their customer service phone number doesn’t work from the U.S. and they do not have an online chat like they advertise!

Do not shop with Shona Joy... Their returns process and policy are ridiculous and they do not offer reasonable timeframes to return for refunds for online purchases- full price. Their "team leader" from the customer care team Aimee is certainly not a pleasure to deal with. The reason for the returns is due to their sizing being incorrect and not true to the size purchased online- i purchased 5 full price dresses and non of which fit correctly even when sizing. The quality of their fabrics and products are horrible... I deal with a lot of high end women's designer brands and have never had such a horrible experience with online shopping and returns. Beware!!!

I never normally write reviews but I dealt with the loveliest customer service rep from Shona Joy. I was really unsure with my sizing and the lady I spoke with (multiple times) was so patient with all my questions. I actually ended up purchasing two items. One was perfect and the other I decided the colour wasn't right for me. I'm really not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this brand. They must have changed their policy because I had no issue with getting a refund! It was also processed amazingly quick. Will definitely purchase again!

Terrible experience purchasing online... will never buy shona joy again. The colour wasn't the same as what is shown on their website and they wouldn't refund the money. So i had to spend $340 on something i didn't like

I ordered a dress from the Shona Joy website and it never arrived. I contacted Shona Joy by email and was told that in the event an item is lost while in transit, they will not be liable and I’m just out the $229 I spent on the dress. This would violate UCC laws in the US but I suppose Australia does things differently? In any event, I will never shop Shona Joy again. I know they don’t care if they lose one customer but I can’t imagine I’m the only person who this has happened to.

Buyer Beware Terrible returns policy for online orders. One of the only online stores that doesn’t offer a refund if you take the risk and buy online. EVERY other online stores offers refunds. Will never put has anything again from this store

Do not buy anything from here. 1. Their return possibly is horrible and there is no flexibility with it. 2. The dress quality is nowhere near expected for the price you pay. I bought a bridesmaid dress for $395 and the sewing was horrible. 3. Dress was frumpy and awkward looking.

I really don't like to speak so poorly of an Australian brand; but Shona Joy's returns policy is truly deplorable and absolutely ridiculous. I would assume for most people, purchasing a $300+ garment is quite a financial outlay, and most people would think that if the garment doesn't suit their body type, or fits poorly, or perhaps is even faulty- they are able to get a refund of their out of pocket expense. After all, it's what almost every other online and in-store retailer offers, right? Why think differently for a company that boasts about being australian made and great service & quality? That is unfortunately not the case with Shona Joy. I bought a dress for over $300 for a one off event, and when I tried the dress on at home once it arrived, I was a disappointed that it just made me look very frumpy and bulky. The material wasn't at all what the site said it would be and it was just... lacklustre in total. I thought it'd be easy to just pop it back for a refund and I'd keep searching for another gown for the event. When I called the Shona Joy customer service line, I was told I could only get a store credit, or exchange for another gown. When I said that's not really helpful to me, as this was the only gown that I knew would suit my height and body shape- I was told I could "gift" the dress to a friend instead, or choose another gown for an exchange. Uh, I'm sorry what? Are you kidding me? So now, I have the option of picking a different dress in a different colour which will just literally sit in my wardrobe because I won't ever wear it. Or getting a store credit for 12 months, to potentially just repeat the exact same experience I've just had. Please, to whomever is reading this; if you must purchase from Shona Joy, track down the exact item you are looking for in a PHYSICAL STORE and try it on first before buying. DO NOT purchase online. You may end up being out of pocket hundreds of dollars, and rather disappointed.
